The breakfast was nice and there were a few good options on the menu. The hotel is clad in wood and history. We were adjacent to "the Harry Potter room", which was what we called this tucked away, sort of hidden reception haall that was stunning. The location is a block or two from city center (excellent yet quiet), and the service was very prompt. No complaints at all other than it was a bit expensive for the value, but hey - it was vacation and I would return tomorrow if I could!

The homemade chips were a little greasy, as they had been fried, but they tasted good! It is situated on the seafront, near the pier. There is ample parking outside if you arrive after 6pm, but there are restrictions before that time. We were able to eat our food looking over the sea, which was really nice on a sunny end-of-summer evening. We didn't feel rushed, so spent a very nice evening chatting, drinking, and eating. I would definitely recommend this for a relaxing evening with friends.

The double bed is in one part of the room with its own facilities and the single bed was through another door within the room providing my daughter and both myself and my partner the privacy we all need. The location was perfect for us, everything was within walking distance. The beach, the main shopping center, regent road and much more. We loved it that much that we stayed in the summer of 2013, we stayed over the Christmas holidays and we have already booked to stay this summer of 2014. The new management have done wonders with the place and really are friendly down to earth people. I would and have defiantly recommended this guest house.

The reception and Beefeater staff were friendly and efficient and the room and restaurant were clean, if unremarkably adorned (by US standards). The property is set back off the main road and features a free car park for guests. This location doesn't seem to participate in the 29gbp/night campaign -- my rates ranged from 57-62gbp/night during my stay. They do take their 'good night stay' guarantee seriously and will comp you for a night if you encounter any problems during your stay. The room is equipped with basic creature comforts -- a comfortable bed, a 13" color TV with Freeview digital cable, a desk. However, travellers should bring a own travel alarm and/or your mobile phone, as the rooms have neither a clock radio nor a telephone to receive a wake up call. The Premier Inn in Lowestoft isn't intended to be a destination in an of itself -- but, all things considered, it's an inexpensive and clean hotel to spend a few nights while in town on business or exploring the area.
