We are a family of four and the sofa in the double rooms doubles up as two beds there is a pull out bed underneath. The bathroom is perfectly adequate. We tend to book our room when they have their special offers on as not sure we would want to pay £70+ per night for a room. All in all good value and convenient when on offer.

Carlton Hotel is a sea-front-front traditional hotel that has evidently been modernised inside…read more There are long corridors, steps, and narrow routes to rooms but it is very clean throughout and mostly everything is in good condition. My bedroom was fine and reasonably sized although the shower room was very small indeed with hardly room to use a towel after squeezing out of the shower compartment. Still, the shower worked well. Breakfast was good on the whole but sadly there were no mushrooms and on one of my two days no orange juice. Overall the hotel provided excellent value for money. Wi-fi worked very well too.
