I am still pissed at the job they did at my home. They F*CKED IT UP. They forgot to measure for the waterfall. Then when they added the waterfall they forgot to take the extra off of the top so there was a 1/4 inch gap between the waterfall and the cabinets. They said they couldn't cut the top because it might break and they wouldn't be responsible. They are lacking in integrity. I would not buy ANYTHING from them EVER AGAIN. 8K and now there are places in the top that have chipped out and now there are pits in the top. I wish I had never stopped the car. read more

On October 21, I traveled to Midland Marble & Granite's fabrication shop location in Independence. I toured their shop, which was well organized. And, the staff that worked there were friendly. They worked with me and listened to my ideas for a tabletop piece I was making for an outdoor base that I had purchased recently. I looked at a large variety of surfaces in the inventory they had available. In the end we were able to find just the right piece in the pile of remnants that they keep on hand. It fit with my base perfectly. They talked me through how they would create the piece, and I was also able to select the type of beveled edge that I desired. After all the decisions were made, they said the piece would be ready within a few business days. True to their word, it was delivered to me within that time frame. The person who delivered the piece was knowledgeable and helpful when unloading and instructed me on how to move the tabletop safely. He also gave me some advice on how best to attach the piece to the base. Once attached, the final product looks great, the way they cut it to maximize the grain in the marble. Based on this experience, I would definitely trust them to use their services in the future for any kind of kitchen and/or bath remodel that I would do. read more

Everyone we worked with at Midland Marble for a new kitchen counter was great! They took all our initial questions and concerns seriously and we were able to work through all of them. Robyn at the Lees' Summit location was wonderful and very patient with all our questions. She arranged to have Robert come out and see the site and answer our questions. She arranged for us to go to the MSI Distributor in Lenexa to see the actual quartz slabs. We went to the Independence shop and reviewed the quartz for flaws and saw the exact layout and how it would be cut. Kenny was very nice and did the tear out and reconnect very efficiently. We are pleased with how quickly and professionally our fossil grey quartz counter and single bowl stainless steel sink were installed. I bought the most expensive stone in its store and did not bargain down on price. The sales people are helpful, qualified and nice. Midland has two great showrooms and great quality. Their post - sales work is good. HOWEVER, it's installers are AWFUL. I think to compete on price and pay for the show rooms other places don't have, they pay too little to their installers. We had to have these people out, again and again, over and over to do what they advertised. They kept Jerry-Rigging their work, they were way late, or a day early, or failed to order what was needed to do the job. Installation was a true nightmare. I wound up having to hire my own crew in at great cost to fix all the problems. read more

BEWARE! If you buy granite here look at each piece of granite. They are shady. I picked out granite based on one piece they had in the show room. The granite is a beautiful grey, white, silver and black. The island has two big dark brown spots that look like burns. Their excuse was they don't have time to show each piece of granite to each customer and my contact says granite is a natural product with color variations. What do you think?? read more

One day I called this company to get a quote for a marble slab in a pass thru area of my home. A lady that answered the phone asked me several questions and I told her I was working from home and needed some work done. She ask me to send her some pictures to her cell phone. Which I did. When I tried to call her back about 3 or 4 times after I sent the pictures she NEVER CALLED ME BACK OR ANSWERED MY PHONE CALLS. To this day I'm not sure why she would not service me. I would never use them if I were you. If you want a real professional job done, call Nick at MIDWEST MARBLE AND GRANITE! They are the best at customer service and outstanding work. MIDWEST WILL TREAT YOU RIGHT, not like midland did me. read more

I stopped in to ask a brief question about how to care for a marble countertop and was treated rudely. I guess if you're not there to buy an expensive countertop you're not worth their time. I was not greeted or said hello to. The man who eventually answered my question, sitting down and from behind the desk, looked busy and brusquely said "what can I do for you?" It appeared I was bothering him, even more so when I asked how to care for marble. He was annoyed I did not know marble from granite and proceeded to lecture me. In the end, my question was answered via a "you're-too-r'tarded-to-exist sermon, but because I was treated so rudely, I'll take my business elsewhere. I plan to replace all my marble surfaces, but not at Midland. read more

Like many people, we decided to refinance and remodel our home during COVID-19. We shopped around to look at various carpet, flooring, and kitchen counter/backsplash installers. We were recommended by friends to look at Midland Marble & Granite, and are thankful we did. Robyne Brown was our first point of contact in the showroom and a continual help throughout the process. She and her manager Laura kept our lines of communication open during the entire process, helped navigate the many aspects associated with running our multiple projects and workers, and were able to meet our quality, price and timeline considerations. The overall experience was quite good and we are very pleased. If you are looking for a reliable company who stands by their work, I would highly recommend them. We did kitchen counter (granite), backsplash, carpeting, and LVT (Luxury vinyl tile). From the moment I started to work with Kelsey, I knew it was going to be a seamless experience. She was prompt, professional and courteous. Unlike the first contractor I had come to measure and quote, she seemed knowledgable and didn't make me feel like the job was too small. She provided timely quotes, answered all the questions I had and didn't hesitate when j asked for additional comparisons or information. Because of this, I decided not to look any further and proceeded with selecting my exact stone for the countertop. She made sure that a slab she felt I woul be interested was available and asked that they hold it until I could visit. Without asking, she mailed me a copy of my receipt (in addition to emailing it) and sent a timeline of appointment dates and times, explaining what each was for. After purchasing granite countertops ( a year ago) and being very satisfied, tried the other side of the business Floor tile. I was so disappointed. We picked a beautiful product, but the installation was sub par. We spent nearly $6000 for 3 rooms and they did not use any leveling on any of the floors leaving uneven tile to walk across. After raising the concern, we were told it was industry standard. Buyer beware! read more
