Trying to schedule an appointment by phone is IMPOSSIBLE. You end up spending 15 minutes talking to "Mona" -- an AI robot -- who asks a series of reasonable questions but then wants to know whether you want an x-ray or an MRI. (I JUST WANT TO BE SEEN BY A DOCTOR! Shouldn't he decide what kind of exam is necessary?) And then you when you don't know the answer to that question you get transferred to another line that is never answered. For what it's worth (and sadly "Mona" won't tell you this), on the plus side you can schedule an appointment online in about 2 minutes by going to their website. read more

Came in for bilateral knee pain and swelling. The office staff was nice. The doctor explained everything and answered all my questions

Staff was very friendly, Didn't have to wait very long at all for my appointment. Had all my information ready when I got there

I was seen promptly, Dr. Da Silva answered my questions, gave me my options, and I was given a summary of the visit the same afternoon

I had the worse experience I ever had at a doctor. I wasn't going to write a review but due to circumstances now I feel it necessary. I broke my elbow on Christmas, went to ER and was splinted, had xrays showing I had a broken radial head. I was told to follow up at prisma ortho but they couldnt get me in for a week. I made an appt at midlands that same week. I waited 1 hour and 5 minutes to be seen. When I got back they did xrays with the fiber glass splint STILL on my arm. I was told at the ER I'd need to get another Xray due to extreme swelling in joints, he was unable to see if their were possibly ALSO hairline fractures in joints. So, I did not bring the X-rays. I was sent to a room. Upon entering the room I hear, Dr Sallers tell a lady at the computer we need to be seeing 45 a day we aren't doing enough now. Dr Sallers came in (who I found out later works with lower extremities), he was abrubt and rude. He sat down briefly and stated in an irritated voice, "your elbow isn't broken you don't need surgery, why are you here?" i said, "because my elbow is broken". he took thr splint off, any joe off the street could see it was broken. The entire backside of my arm was black and blue, twice the size of my other arm. The xrays with the splint on were clearly shoddy. The X-ray technician was even confused, leaving the room twice to ask about taking the splint off. Dr. Sallers sent two PHYSICAL TRAINERS in the room with a 700 dollar robocop brace. They began to apply this heavy brace with cuffs up my broken arm and the pain was excruciating, so I began to cry. I never question doctors and in this moment, I changed my entire outlook. I said, Stop, just stop, take it off." They were unaware of what was going on with me, so they were shocked when I refused. I felt bad for both of them. Sallers comes in, says in an aggressive inpatient tone, "You clearly have a traumatic injury, we can't have you in a splint, the brace allows for movement." "I'm not wearing that on my arm it's ridiculous, uncomfortable, painful, I cannot bear the weight. I know it's broken I saw the xrays ar prisma." He stands up opens the door and says to the TRAINERS, "cast her", and walks out. So it goes from you need movement wear a brace, to cast her from her armpit to her hand, which would allow for no movement whatsoever. The trainers come in asking if I was the one who wanted a yellow cast. I said, "No". At this point I'm beside myself in immense pain, I'm done. They begin to apply cotton to my arm for casting, I said, " what is going on, why is this happening? He said I needed movement, it wasn't broken, so why do I need a full arm cast?!" They said, "I don't know I guess bc you didn't want the brace." At this point I'm beyond upset and the pain is worse because my arm has been jacked 10 ways to sunday. As they are applying cotton to my arm, I say, " Stop. Just stop. This isn't right.I want to leave." The ladies said do you want to use your old splint, or us to make one. I said the old splint was fine, but I guess we can remake one. I have NO IDEA why I said that. I was just so mind jacked at that point. The girl wets the fiber glass strip and FOLDS it in half over the casting cotton, not a cotton sleeve But puffy fat cotton. She tries to mold to my arm but due to the fact she has doubled over the fiber glass, there is cotton on my arm, it weighted, and does not fit. Yet she wraps it up and I feel like I'm carrying around 15 extra pounds. I'm in tears, btw I'm not a crier, didn't even cry when I broke it. At this point asking for my old splint is out of the question bc it's been trashed. I got to the counter to leave, lady says you want to do a follow up. I said, "absolutely not with him". I made an appt at Lexington orthopedic and was in the next day. I decided this time to take my xrays bc my insurance wasn't going to cover all these xrays of the same area. I had a fabulous doctor who specializes in elbows and he said, "the radial head in your elbow is definitely broken. It's not a good idea to resplint it, cast it, or brace it. I want you to wear the sling one more week and do 'these' exercised with it aftet the week is up. If I cast, brace, or splint we risk your elbow completly locking up, possible surgery, which at this point you dont need. Here I am now almost 6 weeks later with an almost completely healed elbow. I called midlands orthopedics multiple times to file a complaint and explain why the service was so terrible and I shouldn't be charged. I got phone calls back from 3 different people, all saying that they couldn't assist bc they weren't the higher up. I said I want to speak to the manager. They ALL said I would hear from this person. Instead I was sent a bill in the mail for the worse visit and waste of time in my life. I wasnt going to write this but due getting the bill and not one call from manager, here we are. read more

As everyone else mentioned here, every time I visited it was over an hour wait. Today after an hour and half I had enough and told the staff I needed to leave since I actually work. They asked when I want to reschedule and I said I'll find another doctor and walked out. Ridiculous. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. I have been coming here since my son was born - 14 years. Appointment time is never kept. I've always had to wait over an hour. They overbook appointments then say they dr is running behind. When I asked Why I was still waiting same response. Dr is behind. One women at the front desk interjected in my conversation with another staff member and asked me if I would like to reschedule. Ah no!! When I responded with no...why would I want to come back and waste more time waiting it would be nice if you didn't overbook appts. Of course she was rude and didn't seem to care if I had to wait. Obviously she needs some additional training on how to talk to people. No customer service skills whatsoever. They were also gossiping at the front desk about other patients and how insurance wasn't going to pay for a procedure. Totally unprofessional. I will be looking for another option for an Ortho practice for my family and will deter friends and family from coming here. read more

Terrible drawn out experience with no solution in the end. Downright unprofessional in addition to a total lack of empathy. Finally got to a doctor taking the time and effort to get to the root of the pain and they mentioned they get people from this office which doesn't surprise one bit after our experience. read more

Sent to Midlands Orthopedics for right elbow injury. I met with Dr. Green and they needed to submit a pre-authorization for Cigna. It's been 11 days and finally called my insurance company to find out that it was submitted as workers' comp, and the injury was clearly not, and was denied. The problem I have is that I called Midlands Orthopedics around day 5 only to placated with the stock response, that it takes time. No one looked into it. I have been in pain for 11 days and now have to start over. Dr. Green was supposed to call a non-narcotic pain reliever in for me and three days later while I was waiting for the prescription to be called into my pharmacy - which never happened, I had to call back and remind them. I'm so sick and tired of people not doing their jobs or not caring when they are in the "health care" industry. If you don't want to do your job, then quit. If you are in the health care industry and you don't care, then quit. Don't make people suffer needlessly because you aren't happy. You people are the worst. I am starting over with a different orthopedist. Hopefully, the next set of "professionals" will care, at the very least, and give me just the barest of consideration that a "patient" should receive. If you want care and to be treated like an actual patient and not a dollar sign, don't use Midland Orthopedics. You would be better off treating it yourself. read more

Both times I have been to this office I have waited over an hour for a doctor to spend 5 minutes with me. While waiting the second time, I got to witness the staff treat an elderly patient with obvious memory difficulty very poorly. Once I got back to a room for my round of speed doctoring, I tried to ask questions of my doctor and was laughed at. I switched to a different practice and cancelled an imaging appointment. They did not cancel the appointment. I was told next time get a name because they get busy and forget to put the cancellation in. Sorry. It is not the patient's responsibility to correct your poor management practices. Both your patient care and office patient communication need work. read more

This review is of Dr. Thomas Gross. Thirteen years ago I had a hip replacement by this so called surgeon. I still have not healed nor has he ever apologized for his massive screw-up. I went from being a marathon runner to taking years to walk reasonably normally and doubt I could run more than four or five steps even if being chased by a bear. I remember uncontrolled pain, seepage from the wound that left me laying in a blood and puss mix that was nearly two inches deep, my testicles turning black and growing to the size of ripe grapefruits. He told me he canceled his vacation to Peru to stay by my side - the truth was he was prepping for court for a $30,000,000 wrongful death suit - he lied. His website had lots of text about Christian fellowship - just a ruse to bring in suckers. My Christian views differ from his claims and actions. He changed my life for the worst and if there is a Hell, he should be welcome there. read more
