There were no apologies for their lack of time management nor any apparent concern for my time. I waited in the examination room for another 40 minutes before the doctor came in. Again, no apologies or consideration for my time. I know a lot of people probably experience this and I think this is normal but it is not. There is nothing normal about disrespect and poor planning. The woman I spoke with on the phone informed me that there was apparently "no appointment scheduled" and I was "not in their system." This was a very disorganized move to say the least, particularly when I have actual documentation that I scheduled an appointment with him. Hopefully, my posts - between what I am posting here AND my previous post - are demonstrating precisely what corruption is present within the Medical Industry. Dr. Bollinger - in terms of what he knows about the urinary system and the efforts he was able to invest into fixing my kidney nearly 12 years ago - is certainly an expert, but it is concerning that he and his staff are not organized and professional - particularly when they have the power to control the fate of people's physical health. Millions of people across the globe have stepped forward to vocally oppose my work as a radical feminist theorist and psychological scientist, yet I can STILL remain organized and highly professional in my endeavors. Consider that millions have decided to step forward to stop me and my political agenda in the first place because they perceive me as the single most profoundly intellectual threat to the cultural fabric of society; such adversaries of mine, who are highly manipulative, conniving, and brilliant - which makes them astoundingly dangerous to the well-beings of anyone who does not agree with their political ideology - have devoted their lives to stopping my societal growth in both the educational and career domains, as they believe that they are each political revolutionaries who stand for the civil rights of the American people. Such supposed "political revolutionaries" are currently in the process of overthrowing the current state of medicine by controlling whether anyone who disagrees with their political ideology has access to professional medical care (which I will refer to here as "healthcare"). I had urine issues for a month, and I was referred to Dr. Monath. I called three hours later and a nurse told me that Dr. Monath couldn't find anything wrong and to go to the ER. I told her I was just in his office, and she replied again to go to the ER. The ER doctor was surprised, and told me that Monath was supposed to be the Specialist, gave me meds and told me to talk to my family dr. So I called my family dr, and she prescribed medication to get me through to my appointment. So my 3:50, when my appointment was supposed to be, no call or anything; finally at 4:30, my phone rang and it was Dr. Monath. He was very upset I consulted my family doctor, even though his nurse sent me to the ER and they told me to talk to my family doctor. He gave me no direction in the phone call and said he would send me my family doctor a note. Gee thanks, I waited three weeks for this. My family doctor sent me to another urologist, who I see on Wednesday. To summarize this long story, if you need help with an issue, stay away from Egomaniac Monath. Since 2017, I have received exceptional medical care through the Washington DC VA Medical Center. During my nearly two-year battle with prostate cancer, the VA provided outstanding treatment, compassion, and support, and I am grateful to now be in remission. The physicians, nurses, and staff who cared for me exemplified the professionalism and dedication our veterans deserve. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Dr. Jonah D. Murdock, Chief of Urology, was entirely different. As Chief of Urology, Dr. Murdock is responsible not only for providing medical care but also for setting the standard for professionalism, communication, compassion, responsiveness, and accountability within the department. Veterans should expect that the leader of a specialty service will listen carefully, communicate respectfully, and ensure timely access to appropriate care. In my experience, those expectations were not met. On June 19, 2026, I sought treatment at an urgent care center because I was experiencing severe urinary and pelvic pain. I was diagnosed with a prostate infection, prescribed antibiotics, and specifically instructed to follow up with my urologist if my symptoms failed to improve. When the medication did not work and my pain worsened, I contacted the VA Urology Department on June 23. The nurse who answered my call was exceptional. She listened carefully, showed genuine compassion, and recognized the urgency of my condition. Although the earliest appointment was not until September, she arranged for Dr. Murdock to contact me. When Dr. Murdock called, I felt rushed throughout the conversation. As I attempted to explain that my symptoms were worsening and that the urgent care provider had specifically recommended prompt urology follow-up, I felt I was repeatedly interrupted before I could fully explain my condition. Rather than discussing my symptoms in detail or arranging further evaluation, I was told that my primary care physician could manage the issue. A second antibiotic was prescribed, and the call ended. Despite following the treatment exactly as directed, my condition continued to deteriorate. On July 2, I again contacted the Urology Department because I was experiencing excruciating pain. Once again, the nursing staff demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern. They contacted Dr. Murdock and informed me he would return my call. I did not receive that return call until July 6. By that time, because I had not received timely specialty follow-up, I sought emergency medical treatment from another provider who, although not a urologist, also recommended prompt evaluation by a urology specialist. During my July 6 conversation with Dr. Murdock, and again he spoke over me before I could fully explain my worsening condition. I expressed that veterans deserve empathy, respectful communication, and timely specialty care, especially when experiencing severe pain. I also stated that I expected those qualities from the Chief of Urology. The conversation concluded without a meaningful discussion of my symptoms or a plan for specialty evaluation. I understand that physicians have demanding responsibilities. However, leadership carries additional obligations. The Chief of Urology should model the professionalism, compassion, communication, and patient advocacy expected throughout the department. In my experience, those leadership qualities were not demonstrated. This complaint is not intended to diminish the outstanding work of the many exceptional physicians, nurses, and employees who have cared for me throughout my years at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Rather, I hope my experience will prompt a review of communication, responsiveness, and leadership practices within the Urology Department. Every veteran deserves to be heard, treated with dignity and respect, and provided timely specialty care when facing serious medical concerns. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed so that improvements can be made for both my care and the care of other veterans who rely on the Washington DC VA Medical Center.

Dr. Sloane was in immediate contact with me, and was nothing short of extraordinary in staying in touch, and was virtually on call at anytime. We spoke several times, he replied to texts night or day he guided the ICU nurse through a procedure. Post hospital, I went to his office (today) and he did a procedure that solved the problem. And now my body is functioning normally! But Dr. Sloane didn't stop there. As a precaution, he is sending mt to a get a ultrasound just to make sure all is well. He does all he does with super confidence and at the same time a close connection and empathy with his patient. I am so grateful to Dr. Sloane and recommend him highly to any man with urological issues or who needs a consultation. A true master at his craft.

Clearly really experienced, talked through all the details, things to look out for, etc; helped us understand how to think about what was important, rather than the textbook, neutral answers we've been getting from too many other doctors lately. The procedure itself was super easy; he talked me through what would happen and then what was happening, and checked in regarding pain and sensation along the way. Recovery has been way easier than I thought; only a tiny bit of swelling, the expected discomfort, but not painful. Overall, just a really great experience. The office staff was easy to schedule with, clear about availability, and flexible when I had to shuffle some things around. Other offices I called were hard to get through with, had distant availability, did vasectomies one day a month, couldn't confirm how long after a consultation I'd actually be able to book a procedure, had web forms that went no where, put me on hold for 30 minutes before terminating the call, etc. The one thing they need to work on is their tech -- email confirmations/calendar appointments and electronic docs or links instead of printouts (maybe they do this, but it wasn't apparent/offered?); the site has links to a patient portal, but it doesn't seem to work; they have a robo-caller call to confirm appointments, but it doesn't leave voicemails, so it just looks like you missed a call from the office. Anyway, thanks to Dr. Sloane & staff for making that easier than I expected!
