From the occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses to the housekeeping staff- you will not find kinder, more attentive or knowledgeable people. They do a wonderful job of keeping you on top of your recovery. The rooms are private and roomy. You order your food for the day with a representative from food service the day before and the menu was awesome to choose from. No complaints on the food- it was a lot of food. They keep you hydrated, clean, and your pain relief is of utmost importance. I cannot say enough positive things about this hospital.

They were very professional, caring, patient and informative. Office staff was very nice, no problems. Scheduled laser surgery and that went well too. I myself had a 1st appointment recently. No problems. I'm quite impressed with the whole office, Drs. and their knowledge and equipment. I have severe dry eyes for years. They discovered an issue with a gland(s) and discussed what home treatments were available. Yes, visits are near 2hrs. I highly recommend them.

It took repeated treatments over many months to get rid of, so out of consideration and not wanting to infect others I was not able to schedule my second surgery. Finally I was able to schedule it and right before the surgery my daughter suddenly passed away from cancer. I canceled the surgery and would have rescheduled it. I think your child dying is a reason to temporarily cancel scheduled surgery for a cataract. But this Dr. Benz called me screaming at me that I canceled the surgery, never asked me why and told me not to come back that he was sick of me. Thank you Dr. BENZ and Eyes of York for your brutality, lack of decency, I guess greed comes before even the death of your child. I guess I should have gone down with the C-diff and infected everyone. What a monster.

However, upon arrival I presented my dental insurance "explanation of benefits" and previous receipts as there appeared to be a discrepancy, and dental offices always seem to estimate the customer payment portion when services are rendered. When I presented my question to the front desk attendant she immediately said the person that handles "that" is not here. But, she went on to increase the tone of her voice while attempting to explain the way billing works. I asked her not to raise her voice at me as I simply asked a question. (I was sure to be respectful in my tone and volume as I, too, work in the medical field and understand customers receive varying receipts and EOB's. Also, other customers were in the waiting area and could hear everything.) I simply had a question about my portion of the payment. Another employee standing to the right of the desk attendant heard this exchange and rolled her eyes. So, my only concern is for front area staff to routinely receive customer service training classes and be continually reminded by an office manager how to respond professionally to customers that pay hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars that eventually pay their salary. IMO poor customer service is what harms all businesses and especially the small business owner.

The doct did take several x-rays before doing a very expensive root canal. I have other root canals in the past but I had a lot of pain after this root canal. After going to my own dentist several times in the next 5 months and having to go to my family doctor and also pulmonologist because I kept getting sinus infection, ear infection, bronchitis, and a constant headache all on one side of my head I finally went to a different dentist only to find out the root on that tooth had crack the whole way down the side. My tooth had to be pulled. So much for that 3d x-ray machine.

At my April 2026 appointment upon arrival the front desk intake…read morelady told me that Family Eye Group would no longer be accepting my insurance soon and during that appointment Dr. Pavlica (who owns Family Eye Group) told me not to worry about it, that he certainly would still accept my insurance for current patients, but would simply no longer be accepting new patients with my insurance going forward. What a relief as I really liked Dr. Pavlica and Family Eye Group, but this would not last for long. Three months later at my next appointment upon arrival the front desk intake lady told me that my insurance was no longer being accepted by Family Eye Group. I reminded her what Dr. Pavlica said to me at my last appointment about still accepting my insurance for existing patients. She called someone on the phone and then said to me that Dr. Pavlica never told me that. My Wife attends all of my Doctors appointments with me to help in managing my considerable health issues and she affirmed my statement to the front desk intake lady that Dr. Pavlica indeed DID tell us taht her would be accepting existing patients with my insurance, including me. She said we must have misunderstood Dr. Pavlica. My Wife has been in the healthcare industry for 39 years, so she misunderstood nothing as I misunderstood nothing. Dr. Pavlica lied to our faces and is now back-peddling, gaslighting us in the process... lying through his teeth. To add insult to injury, Dr. Pavlica - and through him, Family Eye Group - proceeded to send me two notices for Failure To Appear for that appointment which will now travel with my medical record to my next Ophthalmologist. Way to twist that knife after metaphorically stabbing me in the back, Dr. Pavlica, all because my insurance doesn't pay him enough money, which is ridiculous considering that he lives in a $2 million+ home in Bent Creek Country Club right next to the golf course. I would like to thank the lady in Billing there who spoke with me a few times on the phone and laid-out the actual reasons for the change and lies, who could not have been nicer nor more apologetic for Dr. Pavlica. It's a bad way for Dr. Pavlica and through him, Family Eye Group, to treat patients, to stress-out people who already have considerable health issues. Little know fact is that doctors can face serious legal liability and professional penalties if they lie to patients, especially when the falsehood causes physical harm or prevents informed consent. The staff and office ladies there are friendly and helpful though, so at least your can trust in that.
