They did accidentally charge my husband for a six pack of Coke when it was supposed to be a single can. The cashier insisted it was "New York State law" that they couldn't accept a vertical ID, which is completely false. NY State law does not require an ID to be horizontal as long as it proves you're 21. When I politely inquired another worker about it, and he was nasty and rude, offering no real explanation and acting like I was causing a problem just for asking a valid question. If this store wants to make up their own rules, at least train your employees to be polite about it. I ended up going to Caputi Liquors, where they properly followed the law and accepted my ID because vertical IDs are valid in New York State. I won't be coming back to Global Wine & Spirits.

Prices are very fair and they have a reward system that makes shopping there worthwhile. You can collect points per dollar using your email address and eventually get money back savings. They even have a $10 off reward for your birthday! Staff is super friendly and helpful. By my second trip I was already recognized and warmly greeted. Definitely makes me want to come back!
