People around here insist on shredded but you can order a 'Build Your Own' with fresh mozzarella." That young lady deserves a raise. I don't know her salary, but trust me you should pay her more because she is fantastic at her job and is the reason for four stars instead of three. She kept smiles on the faces of everyone with a great sense of humor. I'll be honest it was just plain pizza I could make at home but I had to pay for the gas to the store and the way back. Came here to grab a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon, while in town for a soccer tournament. The restaurant was semi crowded when I arrived but not overly crowded. Patio seating , inside table top and bar seating were all an option. I opted to just sit at the bar so I could catch the rest of the Bama game. There were maybe 3 or 4 other people at the bar already. I thought sitting at the bar would be "faster"..... it wasn't! Slowest service everrrrrr. Aside from the extremely slow service , the food was great! I really enjoyed my 8 inch americano pizza. It's a traditional supreme pizza. The toppings were very fresh. The cheese and sauce ratio were a little unbalanced. However, I did ask for a side of marinara to go along with my leftovers. Overall , I am pleased with my first time visit here. I do suggest having a clear schedule if you decide to come here. The wait will seem never ending at times. read more

I returned to this place for date night on a Friday. Unless you have a small party or are willing to sit outside, be ready to wait. This place is popular (for good reason), but that makes it hard to get a table and the food takes a while on a busy Friday evening. My partner and I sat outside, which was quiet and comfortable. Our drinks came quickly, and they were soon followed by our appetizer: the cheesy bread. I really liked the crust of this appetizer. It was crispy and dipped well with the marinera. As for the bread itself, it was what you would expect. Tasty but nothing special. I do like how it was light, meaning I was not too full when our pizza finally arrived. I ordered a small vegetarian pizza, while my partner got the 5 cheese pizza. Be warned, as this seems to be a common occurrence, that the 5 cheese pizza comes with no sauce. It is essentially a fancier version of the cheesy bread. He still enjoyed it, but had to order some sauce for the side. My pizza was very tasty, with the veggies cooked to an al dente texture. There were so many though that sometimes they slide off the pizza, which made it hard to eat. Over all it was a nice evening and we left satisfied with some to-go boxes. We have tried them on 3 different occasions and ordered 3 different variations of pizza, pasta, salads, and specialty items. The food is consistently overcooked and almost burnt. The salad had zero flavor. Not good at all. (Caesar). The surprising thing is that it is all so bland. There is just no flavor. We were disappointed every time. I was in town as part a group of 16 golfers from Indiana to play at Capital Hill. We found MPK on Yelp during our drive up from Mobile and decided to give it a try. The food was really good and the staff was excellent. They accommodated eight of us even though the restaurant was very busy (the others in our group chose another restaurant). Our waitress did a great job. I had a small 3 meat pizza that was very good, others had spaghetti, pizza and Stromboli. Everyone was very happy with their choices. We decided to try Midtown Pizza Kitchen after a disappointing experience at a different local pizza joint. This place is great, and will be a regular stop for us! Excellent selection of both local and not local, but still small, craft beers. And they fill the pint glasses to the absolute brim. It's hard to find a proper pour these days, and I was very pleased with that. They offer tasters, too! The pizza was delicious! I love the small size, the thin crust, and brick-oven bake which adds a nice crunch and flavor. My wife was very impressed with the dough-throwing skills on display, too. If there's one downside, it's the amount of cheese and sauce. I love the cheese and the red sauce is really delicious (and not sweet like so many other pizza places). But, I ordered a pizza with fennel sausage -- and I loooooove fennel sausage -- but I couldn't taste it because of the amount of cheese and the (wonderfully) flavorful sauce on the pizza. Everyone on the staff was very friendly as well! This restaurant is the total package and will be a regular stop for us. A great find in Prattville! read more

Midtown is a fun alternative to the conventional pizza delivery stores. This restaurant is nicely themed, provides 'brick oven-style" pizzas, and has a fantastic bar with a wide variety of beers on tap. The staff was friendly, and the smells were appetizing from the second I opened the door. After reviewing the menu, I decided on a small pizza (I created my own) and a small salad. As I quickly found out the salads are very generous. The small was not so small, and the large was the size of some small countries. My Caesar salad was fantastic! The pizza was also good and I enjoyed watching the World Series while I ate. All in all, a very nice place. read more
