Incredibly incredibly personalized experience, unlike anything I had ever experienced at a vet before. I raised several questions that had been carelessly brushed off by previous vets and got the exact answers I was looking for. Also found out I had been given incorrect information and my cat needed further shots and testing after rescuing her off the street with worms years prior. We got a first time customer coupon for a free exam because my dog had a hernia sticking out of her stomach and I thought she might die so I rushed her to this veterinary place and instead of assessing what I asked them to. They were too busy racking up the bill they were about to give me which were over thousands of dollars so this place is a total scam with that first time client coupon so beware and plus they do not listen to you. My Boo (Wolfie) ......was diagnosed with heartworms during the season of first Covid. all vets were closing down so he missed his annual visit. Mosquito bite caused his life taking disease. He & I had just came out of a very traumatic domestic violence situation. Both fighting for each other & saving each other's life time & again for survival. . To find out he had heart worms was devastating heartbreaking & the thought of losing him after all he had done for me was unbearable. I took him to an inexpensive vet. Where I had 5 different aggressive employees barge through the door where I sobbed retreating to a corner after assistants & vet herself raised their voices at me & ran thru things I couldn't understand about what they were going to do to him. Wolfie hid under the chair. I didn't even know what heart worms were. terrifying. I tried To ask a question & they were perturbed & impatient that i didn't know what they knew. (Not my field of work.) I was crying uncontrollably, as each new person menacingly came through the door telling me with force there Were no choices only one/take him/keep him/ do things i never even processed too much too fast bad attitudes & shocking aggression from them I came To Midtown Vets--told them what had happened (midtown employee had even used that vet in the past & had good experience)--contacted them where vet-to-vet got a different (not transp) acct of my awful experience. I can't drive by there to this day without feeling fear, apprehension & tension. Bianca at MidTown took the time to explain the causes & the lifecycle, of Heartworms. What they do. The prognosis from A to Z She understood my distraught frame of mind my love for Boo our bond after all we had endured together I could not lose him. She gave it to me straight like I asked her to when I asked questions. That made me feel like this conversation was not happening for money sake. she informed me of my options. Choices I needed to make for his life. Long term treatment or Quick kill the Heart worms & the effects of both treatments. The quality of life for my full of life energy filled high drive Boy. Bianca was his new auntie. He went with her when she Told him to matter of factly (my unsocialized 125 lb big boy) shes an unbelievably confident, skilled handler. he was reactive after our trauma. Barked at everyone. Couldn't take him to Parades etc) my special hurt scared defensive boy. He never barked at Bianca all employees are above & beyond @midtown but Bianca was perfect for him. Her capabilities exceed anything you could hope for especially in the situation I was in. The doctor himself came out to speak to me & visit before the procedure. Understandably it may have been to feel me out to see if I would bail out like I did with other vet as they were not transparent with Midtown in my experience With them. they also prescribed too many meds which I paid for. I had obstacles stacked against MY character. Plus the vets in a code of ethics bond; But still Midtown remained unbiased. Neutral. I will not take my boo anywhere else the personalities the Vibe the way they run the office as a well oiled machine & on the same team. Coming out of what we had, shaken, shell shocked from trauma both of us-to hear this diagnosis was beyond what words can describe. It was the demeanor, the honest direct answers from Bianca. Her confident, knowledgeable experience That actually made me trust them with my everything. His life. She is now Wolfies Bianca lol They also understood us not being separated for 4 years of struggle to survive. He went to work with me. I gave up my dinner & bed for him. never a day apart due to circumstances & they accommodated my intense fear of us being divided. Him being alone, not understanding. (He has extreme separation anxiety ; will bark until soaked in sweat thinking he was abandoned) extremely intelligent animal with insatiable loyal dutiful soul-- for him to think I left him behind would have been the death of him. I would not want to put all these unfortunate circumstances on any vet. But Midtown worked with my many tears my many questions & wolfies & my experiences, easing my mind & gaining my trust. they are efficient, more than capable, qualified & caring. front desk, vet assists, all positions. The doc is incredible in his work. owns & shares experiences medically & otherwise about his own Boo-a "Frenchie"--My Boo's age!. : ) I would recommend no other. yes more expensive. Midtown locale. Midtown vibe. Midtown rent but worth every buck-The Decor is upbeat, cheerful & the transfer of those positive feel good vibes onto the animals is priceless . Started out well, the first couple visits I paid cash no biggie because I felt like they really knew their stuff (700+). Symptoms would leave and come back a week or two later so after the third visit or do they say I can pay with "CareCredit" I applied and was approved however the quote they gave me was NOT the same as care credit charged me it was almost 100 more and I just felt that was fraudulent at that point and haven't been back since. read more

Took my pets there and had a subpar experience. The staff is extremely nice. The tech who greeted us and was with us the entire appointment was I believed named David or Daniel. I know it started with a D. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate. I did have a problem with the pricing. The prices for everything were a bit high for my liking and I'm financially stable. The prices were the same as they were when I moved here from LA where the cost of living is double than here in OKC. The doctor we saw was a male. He was not compassionate whatsoever. He was very harsh and the tone of his voice was concerning. I felt as if I was being talked down to and in a sense shamed. He said that this is definitely the problem and that's how we were going to treat the skin condition. After medications were finished and absolutely no doses were missed, the skin got better a tiny bit and definitely never was cured. I decided that maybe by chance it was a bad day that day there at the clinic and scheduled a recheck with a different doctor. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The technician again was David. He put everything at ease with my concerns about the skin condition not clearing up and explained to me sometimes a different medication or food may be needed to completely eliminate the sores. This time I saw Dr. Webster who is very personable and should so much attention to detail and we went a completely different route with treatment. I'm happy to say that the skin condition is 100% gone. I am currently looking for a new vet as again the prices are way too high there, but if I do ever have to return there that I won't ever see the male doctor nor will I recommend anyone to see him. Convenient location not worth the overcharging. I brought my dog in for her annual checkup in October. I mentioned that i thought she had a UTI. The exam, lab and antibiotic cost $170 (more than a pediatrician charges). Dr. told me to come back for the vaccinations as they would not do while she was ill. I went to schedule those today and was told she would need another exam (another $60). I knew I was overpaying for the antibiotic at the time, but the convenience...one stop shopping. When I mentioned my frustration to the receptionist, she said she would talk with the Vet since we had just been in and my dog is a healthy young dog. Apparently the Vet was fine with the additional charge. At my objection they offered to send me her records. Obviously they do not need my business. read more

I am very impressed with Midtown Vets. I recently started taking my golden doodle here after several bad experiences in a row at her previous vet. Dr. Parra is wonderful! I appreciated the way she spoke to me and explained things to me in a way that was informative and not condescending, and the way she involved me in my dog's treatment. The other staff members are also so kind and gentle. I can tell they take good care of my dog because she always tries to go back down the hallway where the exam rooms are when we are leaving and is never as anxious to be there like she was at the previous office. They have good hours, are open on Saturday mornings, and have been quick to get my dog in for an emergency, which is also a comfort to know. read more

Extremely overpriced and I feel like they took advantage of the fact that I couldn't be present for my dogs exam. I have a very well mannered dog that doesn't bark and is very calm- he needed an X-ray on his knee and to update his vaccines. Not only was the 3 shots, pain killers and check up $700, when they took him back they said he was too hyper to do the X-ray and they would need to sedate him. Which would have been another $400. I decided to take him to Harvest Hills instead and get a second opinion. They were able to get an X-ray done that day without sedation for $100, said he was the most well behaved dog they'd had in weeks and also informed us that the medication that they had prescribed my dog was way too high of a dose for a dog his size. (He wasn't on the pain killers at the time of his X-ray, so that wasn't the reason he was so calm-that's just his normal temperament). I've had other people warn me about them being overpriced but it was more convenient at the time. Unfortunately I've lost trust in them and won't be back. read more

I love this vet. My prior dog went through some very unusual and challenging medical conditions, but they really worked hard to help him through it. The conditions were particularly rare when combined, and they used all resources, including experts in internal research, to treat him. At times I felt like a terrible pet parent because of his struggles and they always took the time to explain what was going on (which wasn't my fault). They patiently worked with us for over a year, adjusting his medications due to his ever- changing situation, and really cared about how he was doing. When I got my new puppy, I knew she'd do great with them, and they take care of her and give her lots of love when we come in. They always get me in, even for same day visits, no matter the issue. Was quoted a price for a dog wellness plan that I thought was a great deal. You pay monthly, includes any visits, necessary vaccines, some grooming & option to add dental cleanings. Midtown Vets is clean, accommodating and truly cares about your pets. The staff has gotten me in for last-minute appointments on more than one occasion and I really appreciate their willingness to accommodate. Their prices are surprisingly reasonably given they look so fancy. They are a few dollars more expensive than Classen View, but I think it's worth it as the service and atmosphere that you get a are top-notch. In addition to veterinary services they also offer a variety of food and accessories like collars if you're in the market for that stuff. Also, my pup loves the treats they have for him there-and he's picky-so try out some of those! read more

The best experience at the Vet I've EVER had. Im going on a road trip, last minute I remembered my two cats needed a physical and some shots. I called multiple offices and 1. they were rude 2. they were unreasonably pricey When I called Midtown Vets they were extremely polite and asked various question ex: are you flying or driving? are they in door or out door cats? The other places were quick to give me an expensive estimate without asking any question. After I got my estimate at Midtown Vets I told the receptionist to sign up for their next available appointment. (this was yesterday) Today I went in :) 1. The office was beautiful 2. We have a pug and have had her groomed at several other places, but her coat never looks as good as when we pick her up from Esther! :) She smells great and it lasts! She even gets a bow sometimes. I brought my little Padfoot in a little over a year ago with a couple of puncture wounds and Dr. Baez took the best care of us. I knew then that this establishment really loves and cares about people's fur kids. A few weeks ago, we returned for some vaccinations and five-night's boarding while I traveled, I came home to a totally happy pup. We moved to OKC two months ago and were looking for a new vet for our 10yo dog. In the mean-time, July 2nd, I found a young dog running in traffic at 11pm in the Plaza District with no collar and no chip. We decided to foster her until we could find her owners or find a new home. All was going well until about 1.5 weeks into fostering when she threw up and then had some diarrhea that looked like it had some blood in it. Bad! So I started calling vets. I started with Midtown and was asked if I was a returning client right away. I explained that I was new in town, so I was looking for a permanent vet, but that this situation popped up quicker than I expected. The receptionist told me the first appointment they had was Friday (today is Tuesday). That is obviously not soon enough for a currently sick dog. Most vets hold some appointments for same day/emergency situations so I asked if they did that. The receptionist said that they do, but only for returning clients and the best she could do for me, a new client, is Friday. Probably told the truth a little too much, but I found this appalling from both an animal welfare perspective and a business perspective. So you could have squeezed in this sick dog if I had given you money before, but since I haven't (because I didn't live here until two months ago, but was looking to give a vet money for years to come) you can't? I get being loyal to your existing clients, but I would have been that returning client in the future if they had seen us today! I asked if she could recommend anyone else that might be able to help me since we are new to Oklahoma, she said no, sorry she can't help. We need a vet here in OKC for the next decade but it won't be Midtown vet now. It was very poor customer service, border-line unethical medical behavior, and didn't show any concern for the animal. read more

I've lived in quite a few places and i can say with confidence that this is the best veterinary clinic. They are so current with their treatments and vaccinations.
