You are going to have this for the rest of your life, there is nothing that can be done, etc. Even if this was true (which I do not believe), there are so many better ways to discuss the issue with your patient. Based on his responses to my questions, I do not believe he has stayed current with the issues with Tinnitus, and I am quite certain I knew more than he did. He did give me a list of apps that people use for various white noises. His assistant was suffering from Tinnitus and was way more helpful than Dr. Stevens. Sleep is a huge factor with my tinnitus but when I tried to explain things that work or don't, he had absolutely nothing to offer other than saying "The only thing unique about your Tinnitus is your approach to it." I would avoid this Dr. I was going to get my ears checked with his clinic, but I cannot support them.

I visited a family friend who was recovering from hip surgery at Samaratin Pacific Communities…read moreHospital this weekend and I feel compelled to share my observations of the facility, as well as the staff I encountered today. There are unfortunately many hospitals in the region that are underfunded and in desperate need of repair. Although originally built in 1952, Samaratin has been extensively upgraded in recent years. Every segment of the facility I observed today appeared to be clean, inviting and well-functioning. Signage was clear and informative, security checkpoints were effective, and the gorgeous views of the ocean throughout the building were incomparable. My friend's private room was clean and boasted a large television, a recliner, and sofa that pulls out into a bed, expansive views of the coastline, and a gigantic bathroom with a roll in shower, a refrigerator, and a large sliding door that accomodates almost any form of mobility aids and ambulation devices. I'm so happy my friend had such a comfortable room to recuperate in. Most importantly, during the three hours I spent visiting my friend, every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. If I were to need a hospital while visiting the Oregon coast, I would be very lucky to be admitted to Samaratin Pacific Communities Hospital. This place is great!

I simply cannot recommend this clinic…read more JOURNEY BACK TO AUGUST 2019 Time for my yearly physical. Welp, not only did they botch my blood draw, but I passed out. Probably not a good sign. It's really unnerving to get a "nurse" that can't do a blood draw then has to go get help. Forward to this year. I called in 2 refills and the pharmacy said the Doctor had to authorize. Great, that usually doesn't take long. Except when it does. Doctor's office called me, said they actually needed to see me because they hadn't since August of last year. Welp, that didn't go so well. No "sorry about that", "I'll look into it", etc. Scheduler called me back and we set up an appointment for 3 weeks (?!). I thought, ok, I'm good. I'll still get my refills. Nope. Pharmacy asked the doctor twice. Once on the 25th and once on the 30th. Doctor's office lied and said they only got the one on the morning of the 30th. I waited until December 3rd to get my refills. Anyone know anything about having to quit prescribed meds cold turkey, it's not fun.

She came in with the warmest smile and her eyes really cared. She listened and dug down with tests and a really thorough exam and ended up finding I had Lupus all these years! How did everyone else miss this? She got teary-eyed when she told me. She started me on meds but told me it was going to still be hard but she'd do her best to help me, and she has. She mixes lots of natural interventions and nutraceuticals into her care. She's the most well rounded, most caring, best doctor I have ever had
