There are unfortunately many hospitals in the region that are underfunded and in desperate need of repair. Although originally built in 1952, Samaratin has been extensively upgraded in recent years. Every segment of the facility I observed today appeared to be clean, inviting and well-functioning. Signage was clear and informative, security checkpoints were effective, and the gorgeous views of the ocean throughout the building were incomparable. My friend's private room was clean and boasted a large television, a recliner, and sofa that pulls out into a bed, expansive views of the coastline, and a gigantic bathroom with a roll in shower, a refrigerator, and a large sliding door that accomodates almost any form of mobility aids and ambulation devices. I'm so happy my friend had such a comfortable room to recuperate in. Most importantly, during the three hours I spent visiting my friend, every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. If I were to need a hospital while visiting the Oregon coast, I would be very lucky to be admitted to Samaratin Pacific Communities Hospital. This place is great!

I was so anxious that I even told my husband that I just wanted to have all my teeth taken our! Then I found Doctor Randall J. Teich at Newport Gentle Dentistry after looking at many other options around our Newport, Oregon area and God blessed me by landing me in his dentistry chair. I can't expresses how wonderful the entire staff helped me through this what I perceived as an ordeal of dread, for many years. All I can say, is that my experience with Dr. Teich and all of his assistants was amazing, painless, totally loving and caring with compassion. When I came in with concerns, she spent a significant amount of time chatting about irrelevant matters while I stood in line. After waiting for much longer than I should have, I finally decided to speak up to get my needs addressed and she decided that was enough to kick me out of the office. She even got her blonde coworker to help her remove me from the office. Essentially, I showed up, was ignored, and when I had the audacity to speak up for myself, I was kicked out of the building. The first time I came in was for an initial assessment. In which I was not fully aware of the minimal strength or flexability I had in certain areas in my body after the car accident. The services I received were adjustments by the chiropractor, spinal hygiene therapy (included exercises to gain my strength and to continue strengthening my body), muscle stimulation(light electrical pulses that are transmitted to specific areas of the body through electrodes placed on the skin) and a two massages. All of the preceding services that I received helped me gain the flexability , strength and to continue maintaining good spinal hygiene. I was very pleased with the Chiropractor's honesty and answering every question I had for him. He did an amazing job with the adjustments which I never thought would help but they sure did. The lady who taught me the exercises and was my spinal hygiene coach made sure to push me to my full potential. The lady who did the massages did an amazing job.
