Wasatch Broadband was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect…read more On their website, it says: "Unapologetically the best internet in Utah. No hidden fees. No taxes. No data caps. No cancellation fees. No price hikes. Speeds always fast." This could not be more true. Other companies are kind of scammy and have a bunch of hidden stuff...not these guys! They are awesome! Since building my house and moving in, I have been in the biggest battle with companies to give me wifi. The city is rolling out fiber to everyone, which is causing a ton of issues for people who don't have fiber available to them yet. Essentially, companies will refuse to put wifi in because "one day I will probably have fiber". The company that rhymes with infinity was horrible to try to work with, my own cell phone carrier wouldn't help me, and the city couldn't care less either. It has been an extremely frustrating process. Wasatch Broadband was recommended to me from a friend. I reached out to Wasatch Broadband to see if they were willing to help get me wifi, but admittedly, my hopes were not that high. They responded to my text in a very timely manner and we went over the details. Y'all..these people were able to come to my house the next morning! They were there like 40 minutes early and there was a whole crew ready to work on my house. I am not entirely sure what they did but I magically have wifi in my house now. The prices are dang near unbeatable, especially for what you get. There was a whole crew that came to my house and they were all super respectful. I am so happy with the entire experience. I will be recommending Wasatch Broadband to everyone I know. I can't thank them enough!

In my part of Utah County you get horrible speeds with the phone company or pretty fast download,…read morebut horrible upload with the cable company. Plus, they charge an arm and a leg for it. Utopia finally came to the neighborhood and I could not be happier. They installed quickly, and the service has been flawless so far. There is a large selection of ISPs available, but most of them are suspect in my mind. XMission is the only one with a total usage cap. However, even as a heavy user I've not hit it. By having the cap, it's easier to handle people who abuse the bandwidth setting up spam servers or torrent servers. They are also the only one meeting state of the art security standards like SOC2. Back to Utopia. It just works. I have 250Mbs up and down. That allows me to do full backups of my home to the Cloud. I could never do that with the pitiful upload speed the competition has. Plus it's far cheaper.

I came home today to find that a corner of my yard had been dug up and opened for what I understand…read moreis a UTOPIA installation. What concerns me is that no one contacted me beforehand, left a notice, knocked on my door, or otherwise informed me that work would be taking place on my property frontage. I had seen crews working across the street to provide service to new neighbors, but I had no idea that work would also affect my yard. When I spoke with the workers, I was told this is the only access box on the street and that if additional neighbors request UTOPIA service in the future, similar work may need to be done again. In addition, the work area has obstructed access along the sidewalk. We have small children in the neighborhood who regularly ride their bikes, scooters, and play along this route. Today, the excavation and equipment created an unexpected obstacle and safety concern for children and pedestrians using the sidewalk. As a homeowner, I believe residents deserve advance notification when construction or excavation will impact their property, even if it is within a utility easement. A simple notice would have allowed neighbors to plan accordingly and be aware of any temporary disruptions or safety concerns. I would appreciate an explanation of the notification process, what steps will be taken to restore the area, and whether residents can expect additional disruptions in the future if other homeowners request UTOPIA service. In addition to the pictures from this afternoon... I have posted a picture of what utopia could do in the future to protect homeowners and children and community people from getting hurt Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I was having trouble with getting my elderly V.A uncle used to where his channels were at (we get so many more than DISH! and channels we actually watch). I lost my paperwork and couldn't find the number for NewStar and just searched for the DirecTv number online. I called into DiredTv wanting some help with figuring out what to do and I could barely understand the agent on the line (language barrier) and they basically said they would have to send a technician out to me and it would cost me $40-$99. I declined, because I just don't have the money for that. Thought I was just stuck and very dissapointed. One week later I got a follow up call from NewStar just to see how I was liking my New DirecTv sytem. Let me say I am pretty embarrassed at how I treated the young lady on the phone. I vented and was very upset and she didn't interrupt me even once! She listen ACTUALLY LISTENED. Then she fixed it all right over the phone, I didn't even need a technician and that saved me time and money right there! She went through step by step with my uncle of making a favorites list and with the protection plan I had got from them they were able to send me out a remote that fit my uncles needs even better, for free ($15 plus shipping if I didn't have that protection plan). Remote got to us in 2 days and they had already setup a favorites list with my uncle and he was happier than he had ever been in his 80 years of different tv services (he is now deceased). I wish I had the name of that young lady and I hope she sees this review. To that agent if you do see this review I want to thank you and apologize again for how poorly I treated you on the phone. The main thing I have learned through this experience is to go through a authorized dealer for anything I can! Even when I didn't know it they had my back, THANK YOU New Star!!!!!

To make things even more impressive is their great commitment to this community. They didn't work. We bought higher grade routers as a result. They offered no real improvement over our wireless provider home internet (which is half the price of fiber). They seemed to care less about our business or helping us, so we canceled within a week. Wish I would've read reviews here before I went with this company.

The thing is, I mailed a paper check like I always do via USPS, (using appropriate postage and the pre-addressed envelope that comes in each months bill). I pulled my bank statement, found the check number then went to the local bank branch and had them copy the front and back side of the check for me. The photocopy of the check shows the date the check was written and when it was posted/processed for payment. Funny thing, Allwest's account team categorically state they never received payment. How is it that the USPS can deliver the payment to their processing facility where the paper check is scanned, deposited into the service provider's bank for processing but never entered into their system as having been paid??? I reached out to Allwest's service desk via their smart hub portal and shared with them the check number, the date it was written, the date the check was posted and then provided them with the photographic copy of the check (front and back). They told me the problem was my bank had issues with "bill pay," which doesn't concern us because we don't use that service, we use paper checks to create a paper trail. Shortly after providing them with indisputable photographic evidence I had paid the June 2026 bill on time, I received an automated message stating they were going to disconnect my service if payment was not received by July 13th. Talk about adding insult to injury! The accounting department needs to be forensically audited by the FTC, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and be red flagged by the Better Business Bureau. If they have done this to me, who else are they doing this to? The customer service reps treated me with a dismissive and condescending attitude, refusing to acknowledge any blame in the loss of my payment. I've only been with AllWest since February 2026 and wonder if this was a bad move as they've caused me an inordinate amount of stress and turmoil over this billing issue. I pay my bills on time, every time and now this company has the audacity to be smudge my reputation because of their negligence and/or fraudulent practices. A warning to all who consider AllWest Fiber, do your homework, look very carefully at their accounts department before you ever consider purchasing service through them. Are they going to make me whole? I doubt it. All you have to do is search the internet to see their customer service is extremely poor. They don't care about their customers, never have, never will...
