I'm cautious about the four stars here. To understand why, I must tell a story about a young boy…read morenamed Jeffrey who had a very important print job, an out of town conference, and a even younger intern. Jeffrey went out of town to this conference, leaving the very important print job in the hands of AMT and the intern in charge of picking it up and distributing it. I'll spare you the drama and we'll dive into the happy ending. There wasn't one. Poor intern nearly in tears, me on a phone from somewhere in Colorado, and things didn't quite come together. Well, I'm a forgiving man. And the low prices at AMT help me to be forgiving. So I dropped off another project there not too long ago. It had been years and I was ready to give it a go again. I gave it plenty of time, and when it came time to pick up the job it was ready and waiting. Print quality on the cards was pretty good. This isn't a cut-and-dry print shop. Do a little bargaining and you may get a better price than what's quoted. On the flipside, they quote all kinds of ridiculous prices. So read the fine print and make sure you qualify for them. Know before you go and you may get a sweet deal. But don't expect it all to be as easy as 1-2-3. If you don't mind cruising garage sales and dickering with flea market folks, you've found your new digital print shop.

On the one hand, if you want a local company to handle things for you and you want one of the…read morebiggest little companies around in the sign and banner and display marketing biz, you've got the right folks. But the bigness of the company almost works against them. One of the reasons I often choose local companies is because of the kind of service and attention I get. When you order with them, there's a real push to do it online. That's great if you know what you need and what you're doing, but for someone who doesn't have this stuff made every couple of months it could be difficult and you may find the service at a smaller shop to be more up your alley. In a world where online printing companies are now super, super, UBER cheap it's often going to be more affordable to just send it off to Texas or California, even with shipping. I mean, if I'm submitting it all online anyway it becomes a pure price game. The good news is that they are local and real people do work there, so you can work a little closer with them if you need to. They've been around a long time and can handle just about any size project. And it's not just banners--they do tablecloths, car wraps, stand up banners, window banners (decals? wraps?) and a whole host of other promotional or products. Give the website a whirl if you're curious, but realize that if you're going to get a banner or project done just online, you can do a little research and save some money. Hopefully they'll be willing to walk you through it if you go in or pick up the phone.

After manning a table at a couple of events I was hooked and sought to improve the professionalism of our presence. The first thing I needed was signage with a stand. A Google search led me to Sugar House which had the largest selection of banner fabrics and stands, I designed what at that time was an awesome piece, they did a beautiful job of printing it, it arrived in plenty of time for my next event, and the durable banner and stand continue to serve me well. Their after-sale service was incredible - I received several emails asking if everything was to my satisfaction and requesting a photo of my banner in action. This photo is still on their website! They're not the cheapest, but you can't beat their quality, selection and service. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them for full-service banner work.

For Christmas this year, I ordered my husband a pretty expensive office chair from OfficeDepot.com…read more I was aware that the return policy on furniture required that the item be unassembled and in the original box. After he opened his present, we made sure to go in store and have him sit on the chair to make sure that it was comfortable and he liked the feel of it. He loved the chair, so we went home and began assembling it. However, on the very last step of assembly (:pulling the plastic off the backing of the chair), we discovered about a 1 inch slice through the leather. Knowing that the return policy required an unassembled item for a full refund/exchange, I was a bit nervous about how much of a hassle the return process would be. We gave this location, a call, and they told us to bring the assembled item in the box to the store and they would help us out. We showed up and the process could not have been more easy and smooth. Abraham, the manager, was so kind and understanding about the situation. The resolution was very smooth and we were able to get a refund in full. Having issues with a large ticket items is never fun, but the customer service of this location was outstanding! The customer service warrants a 5 star for this location!
