Food/Cost: (2.5) There are a decent number of food choices here. Subway, O'Briens, Burger Shack, Little Caesars, Tapenade (a healthy bistro), and what looks like a soon-to-open Chinese food place. Kids and adults alike will be able to find something to eat. Pricing varies depending on the establishment you choose, but are reasonable as they are all fast food / grab-n-go joints.
Ambiance: (2) It's a rest stop for tourists. 'Nough said.
Location: (5) Midway Food Court is located along the M7 motorway towards Portlaoise, and at the popular and well-traveled intersection to and from major Irish cities like Dublin. Definitely well-situated for travelers -- individuals and tour buses alike-- in need a of rest room, food, and rest.
Service: (3) Nothing special here -- you order and they give you your food. They could use a few more table clearers and trash can emptiers though; the bins were overflowing.
Overall: (3) The developers who built Midway are smart. This place was bustling during the off-peak tourist season. I can only imagine how crazy it gets during the peak tourist months. You may want to bring your own tissue paper for the restroom though; most of the stalls were out. read more
