Lucky for me they expanded and now have service in this area as well! I am a bit old school and am that guy that tends to call in from time to time but its is fairly simple to book regular cleanings at the new spot on their website. I've had a handful of cleanings done at the new location already and everything has gone off without a hitch. The great service, communication and honestly fair prices for the service. I can't recommend Maids of the Midwest enough. As a frequent customer this is what you want. Easy to work with and most importantly reliable. However, I cannot as they never showed for the appointment I made to have my carpets cleaned. I'm frustrated enough with how apartment leasing works in Iowa City; typically carpet cleaning falls on the apartment complex. So wasting two hours waiting on a service that I never received is infuriating. I scheduled service for the last free day I will have this summer and so now I'll have to displace another appointment to supervise the service. Steve with Premier Cleaning of Iowa City may not find two hours valuable, but I do. A phone call to advise of lateness or to attempt rescheduling would have been acceptable, if a little disappointing. In the least, answering the phone or returning the voice mail messages I left (an hour after the scheduled appointment) would have shown some concern for the situation. In the end, I got neither of these showing that Premier Cleaning of Iowa City has a complete lack of professionalism. I cannot recommend Premier Cleaning of Iowa City to anyone for any purpose. Based on other reviews, they are very good... when they show up. However, based on my own experience, they may not show up at all.

After having our carpets cleaned, our property manager said they looked great, but our tenants had a concern about leftover pet hair. We emailed Premiere Cleaning and asked if they could return to our property and address our tenants' concern. They did so and addressed our tenants' concern promptly and politely. We are definitely going to stick with this company; they're fantastic!

While the technician was at my home, he received a call from my neighbor experiencing exactly the same thing. The technician advised him to clear his exhaust pipe. No charge. I did not object to the technician's service fee, but felt the weekend fee excessive, especially since my neighbor was treated fairly at NO CHARGE. They contacted him directly and trusted his work and character based on their past experience. He horrendously overcharged them almost $1500 - for a new sink replacement. He picked up a sink from Menards which he charged over $300 for. The rest I'm assuming was his labor cost. I understand there's typically a high hourly rate for skilled labor. I also understand if you want to charge a surcharge for the unit or delivery. What I don't understand is how you justified charging them almost three times the cost of the original unit. Menards is literally 10 minutes away and it's not even a "high-end" model. My parents may have a language barrier but I certainly can price check and it's disgusting that you would take advantage of their ignorance. Especially as return customers.
