Was interested in learning more about microblading since it would be my 1st time trying it and was happy I discovered Midwest Microblading right in my neighborhood. Spoke to Katie on the telephone - who for every question I asked - her response was immediately - have I been on their website indicating I was "wasting her time" since all answers were on the website. They also do not provide "free" consultations which everyone else in the business does. Not that big of an issue to pay the $25.00 for a consultation to see if microblading was the way to go for my needs. However, Katy advised that I would not be a "good" candidate - her assessment was based on her "annoyance" to actually have to speak to someone rather than have them "just refer to her website" and preferred that I would not want to have 'ZERO" communication or interaction with the company - that I would be entrusting a service done to MY "face" and paying close to $600.00 to have the service done. When I asked why I would not be a good candidate when we have never met, nor barely spoke on the phone, she said since I "workout", "wash my face", and have "concerns with the results" - then this would not be someone they are interested in treating. She advised there would be "spotting" and "holes in the treatment" and "anyone" that would not be happy with :these results" would not be someone they would want to work with. She had ZERO interest in even letting me pay for a $25.00 consultation - and said had I been there in person - she would not let me continue a "paid for" consultation since - a satisfied customer - is not who they service. So much for trying to keep the business local - a VERY unsatisfied over 30 year local resident" could have been potential customer" She advised that I go to "a more seasoned and experienced place of business - a professional one - one with up to 15 years of business - since microblading started - rather than "referring to her website" - expecting ZERO communication or customer service - from someone who just started in the business. CUSTOMER SERVICE has always been - and WILL ALWAYS be - what not only brings the customer - but retains them and spreads the word - NONE of which I will be doing. read more

Jen did such an amazing job! I knew from reading the reviews and doing research this was gonna be good but this really topped even my highest expectations. Jen took a lot of time to talk with me to understand the look I wanted, helped pick out the best color option, explained the entire process, answered my questions, and took he time making sure I was happy with the results. If this is something you are on the fence about, just do it! I have hypothyroidism and have lost about 40% of my brows - sparse, thin, patches of no hairs, etc. I used to spend more time on my brows than I did on any other pat of my morning routine. Katie did eyebrow microblading for me and I could not be happier. She was very thorough explaining the process step by step before and during, with the tools she used, and aftercare. I have light and sparse eyebrows to begin with, and was just doing my own shape EVERY DAY. I typically don't wear much makeup so this was such a hassle for me. I told Katie for the shape to do what she thought for my face/proportions, and she measured and sketched a great natural looking brow that I approved. Before she starts microblading it's hard to picture the outcome, which made me a little nervous, but her portfolio of before and after are stunning and so well done. She applies a numbing cream, but I'd say you do feel a bit of pain, nothing terrible, just an awkward spot to begin with. I was completely blown away by the outcome. My eyebrows were perfect! No more fixing them every day, worrying about getting them wet or accidentally wiping off my makeup. Katie says some clients do still use a bit of makeup still, but I was happy to say I've used none so far, and I've gotten so many compliments about them. Healing was fine for me, yes the color changed and my eyebrows got flaky, and a bit itchy (I experienced this with tattoos in the past). It's so important to follow the healing instructions!! Dont risk ruining her work and your brows if you aren't going to commit. When I went for my touch up I agreed with everything, just a few spots that were a bit lighter here and there. And it's also nice to take into consideration that you can start off, lighter, smaller, thinner, etc. When you go for your touch up little tweaks can be made then and you can feel confident from the start. Overall I'm so happy with my decision to have Katie do microblading for me. I know I'll need to go back after a year or so but it's absolutely worth it! read more

Unfortunately I called to ask a question and my appt was cancelled because of high blood pressure. I also had a doctors note clearing me. If there were any concerns someone should have contacted me before a few days before my appt. And I called them with a question. Then oh O cancelled your appt. My info sheet indicating this was filled out as soon as the appt was made I am really disappointed This should be stated on the form or listed on the website before one wastes their time thinking they have an appt scheduled. If you're thinking of getting your eyebrows microbladed but are on the fence (like I was), don't wait any longer. This was the best decision I made and Katie was the best person to do it. She takes her time sketching what your brows will look like and asks you multiple times if you're happy with the shape (which is good for someone like me who has a hard time speaking up for what I want). I am on day 8 and so not completely healed and have not had my touch-up appt. but, I feel like this is the place to go for microblading. Katie was VERY informative and has spent a lot of time on knowing her craft. She has the right background and education and understands how microblading works which goes a long way! I will update after my touch-up but I feel confident that this is worth every penny! Update: I am so happy with my end result! I have VERY sparse eyebrows and the little hair that I have is very light (almost white). The micro blading has really "changed my life". I used to spend at least 20 mins drawing in my eyebrows & the hoping the makeup stayed in place. Now, my brows look great/natural without ANY makeup. I usually do swipe on a little powder but that takes less than a minute & looks totally natural & not "drawn on". If you are considering micro blading do it & go to Midwest Micro blading.
