Lumbar spinal disc degeneration is no fun. One of the worst things you can do if you have this…read morecondition is participate in high impact sports such as running. I used to run 25 to 30 miles a week and did this for about 8 years. Unknowingly at the time, my lumbar spine and hips took a beating. I received a lumbar spinal fusion in 2001, and had complications (lumbosacral root disorder, hip spine syndrome and arthritis). Those complications led to my falling and sustaining 5 concussions (post concussion syndrome) in the last 2 years, and using a walker and a cane for mobility. Dr. Eric Ericson is my neurologist. I selected him after researching his credentials, which are outstanding. We also share the same alma mater (Go Cats!) so I felt comfortable immediately with him. What I like most about him is he listens and is supportive. The brain MRI results enabled him to create a plan tailored to my needs. With all of the falls, I've developed PTSD and painfully intense hip problems, too. I'm receiving hip injections, physical therapy, and massage and psychological counseling. Some days I want to throw in the towel, but my care team and family have been so supportive that there is no way I could ever let them down. I'm still climbing the mountain to recovery and know it will be strenuous at times, but I'm in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Ericson and his staff because they not only know their stuff, but they really care. Yes, they care.

Took my mother here to see NP Alicia Green, under Dr. Do. Though I didn't have any negative…read moreencounter with the actual doctors, they seem to know what they're doing. The issue is that because they have so many patients, they rush you in and out. They are no help when it comes to paperwork like FMLA. My family and I are going through such a difficult time adapting to my mother's new diagnosis. The staff was rude, not understanding, and short tempered when you ask one too many questions. This includes their manager Jodee. She didn't like my tone when I kept asking to give me a reason as to why they won't sign the FMLA. From "doctor just doesn't do it," to, "it's in her policy ," but they can't show me any written form. From being told that I shouldn't tell the doctor how to do her job, to having to find a new Neurologist after the patient advocate told me they don't like doing paperwork, they just want to get patients in and out. How are you supposed to trust an office like that? I found her a different neurologist, but of course doctors have a long wait, so it's delayed her care some. Now, I have been waiting for them to send a referral over to a different hospital for my mother's Neuro-psych appointment since they last saw her, and it's been over one month they told me they would do it only for the other hospital to tell me they never sent anything. When I called this Neuro Clinic I asked why it hasn't been sent over and they dismissed me with a ,"All I can do is send it," but I've received another call from Neuro-psych telling me they still haven't received anything. I left Alicia Green staff a voicemail asking for an update and it's been 2 business days and still no response. They are delaying her care immensely, and they don't seem to care because she's just another random patient to them. This is my mother, I don't care how annoying they find me, but I will make sure she is taken care of. Could you imagine the terrible care they would give if I wasn't there advocating for her? Terrible.
