I broke my finger. mallet finger on my middle finger. they said the ot would make the cast. wear it for six weeks and it will heal. it has been 10 weeks. I looked at it after six weeks and was hanging down as much as when I first went in. left it on longer. Finger is bent down swollen and hurts. Trying to get in is almost impossible. But they do communicate frequently asking for more and more money. Even my veterinarian follows up visits with a phone call to see how the animal is doing. this place is only concerned with money. so sad that they are like this. read more

I have worked with MOR in multiple locations. I've seen five of the physicians and a number of their PAs for various body parts. In my treatment by this practice I have had four surgeries for joint issues and two broken bones, neither of which was diagnosed in hospital emergency care at two different facilities. I went in for standard plantar fasciitis care. The paying to park every time if I do go with their physical therapy services is a bit frustrating, but overall I had a wonderful visit. Everyone from the receptionists, the person who walked me to X-ray, the X-ray tech to the doctor and in between were so friendly and warm. This review is specifically for their rehab facility. So I have post-traumatic degenerative joint disease. First my left hip went which I had replaced. Then my shoulder went and I elected to try rehab. Kristin Taylor - physical therapist extraordinaire literally healed my shoulder. Then my right hip started to go. Kristin once again worked her magic and I'm not 100% pain free - but almost. My advice to everyone who has arthritis and needs a joint replaced - you need to go here. If you like polite, incompetent staff; if it doesn't bother you when a provider's office refuses to give you CPT codes before initial consult so you can confirm whether your insurance covers procedures; if you like calling your insurer ahead of a second appointment w said provider only to discover they submitted the incorrect CPT code for pre-authorization, if you like waiting 60 minutes for a doctor who unapologetically spends 2 minutes with you without even introducing himself; if you like seeing disappointment in your doctor's eyes when he discovers you are not a candidate for surgery because your joint is not that badly damaged, then this is the place for you. read more

I have been to Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush on many occasions and seen two different doctors, Dr. Wysocki and Dr. Bach. I've had surgery from Dr. Bach and treatments with Dr. Wysocki. My daughter has had a major surgery with Dr. Joel Williams. Every one of these doctors are absolutely top notch. I've been to other orthopedic groups. They cannot even compare to the expertise and bedside manners of each and every one of the doctors at Midwest. Yes I have waited sometimes for appointments but things happen. I will never go anywhere else. They are the best. read more

Company as a whole is deceptive and doctors are overworked. I received a hip arthroscopy procedure and was was told to sign a contract to have the procedure performed. The contract included a $2000 charge I may have to pay out of pocket if the insurance denied it (femoral head reshaping). I questioned my doctor and the doctor stated the insurance usually covers it. If not they will write the insurance provider. In fact, the contract states the medical provider will appeal the denial of coverage twice. However, after I had the procedure completed, the doctor never appealed and my insurance denied the claim as "experimental" in nature. Midwest ortho reached out to me for payment and billed me 9 months after surgery. I requested the appeals (as my insurance company never stated any claims were denied and everything was paid in full) The billing department stated they do not release these to the patient (it is my medical record, I should have the right to it). I told Midwest Ortho I would not pay until the contract was upheld. They instead sent me to collections. I explained the contract to collections, collections simply marked my credit report forcing me to pay. The doctors performed a quick procedure; however, the pain is still there and during follow-up appointments the doctor always seemed rushed to get to the next patient never really having answers for the continued pain. Physical therapy (also through rush) was great at first, but eventually pain management stalled and I was told my treatment was done and the rest was up to me. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for surgical procedures of any kind as I am almost certain, they are adding these fees to all surgeries disguised as "experimental" billing codes so that they can have a higher profit and stay in insurance networks. If I would have went to another provider, I would have paid zero dollars for this procedure. Instead, due to the deceptive nature of this corporation I paid $2000.00 1.5 years after my surgery. read more

Suffered extreme knee pain, found Midwest online - called to schedule an appointment. After being on hold for over 30 minutes, customer service took all of my insurance info and promised to call once he was able to reach doctors. Several days later no call. I called again and was on hold another 30 minutes, customer service once again promised I would receive a call to schedule an appointment. Nothing! Finally, I received a auto dial call however, no one picked up the line. Horrible experience for first time calling this scheduling center. I can only imagine how they treat patients. Perhaps the Doctors are great, however, the scheduling process is horrible!!!! read more

Dr John Fernandez got me in to see him the day after i fractured my wrist and performed surgery the same week. He is a terrific surgeon and i had an excellent outcome. Even better, his P.A. Ellen Rohan is the most responsive, caring and knowledgeable medical professional i've ever dealt with. Whenever i had a question she responded via email within a short time and always made me feel as though my questions were valid, and that responding to them was no imposition at all for her. Scheduled an appointment for foot pain I have been having. Had x-rays taken. The physician told me that that I had an odd bone situation from overuse. Take ibuprofen daily to reduce the swelling. They gave me a boot that my insurance would not pay for and cost me $200. I only found this out weeks after my visit upon receiving the bill in the mail. Years later I have the same foot pain, and no real diagnosis from this organization. I am currently trying to get my x-rays to bring to a different foot doctor. After leaving messages for radiology I cannot reach a live person. Waste of time and money to have x-rays done but no diagnosis. from my experience they sold me a boot, sent me on my way but didn't attempt to solve my "odd bone issue". read more

Horrible experience. Went there in march of 18. Saw a certain worthless quack surgeon. I couldn't move my arm due to intense shoulder pain. 2 months of extreme pain. Can't move it above my chest. So I see this dr or so called dr. I wS referee to the surgeon from his colleague who screens patients fir surgery. So I get a friggin mri. Make appointment to see this dude. He has never seen me before. Ok so he walks in the room. Says" I don't even know why your in here". I'm like what??? I said I saw the other dr and she referred me to you. He actually laughed and said the mri report was wrong. Yea it showed two rotator cuff tears plus a torn bicep. This quack actually said im fine and go see my generals. I was fuckin pissed. He got up and walked out. Done... so I was mad and basically shocked how it happened. So I said fuck it. And left. Waste of time. So fast forward to May of 18 . I see another orthopedic surgeon at a different hospital. Guess what??? I had surgery within 2 weeks. The dr read mri. Said it's bad and fixed my shoulder . I mean wtf right ? So beware. Unless you want to waste your time, be treated poorly, and get charged to be yelled at then it's 5 stars! Otherwise this is a total shitshow of a orthopedic clinic. Don't believe the good reviews. DO NOT GO HERE! This is the worse place I have ever been. They have no regard for their patients and they have no sense of urgency around pain. I am two weeks out from seeing them and a week out from my MRI that I purposely got in their building and they have not responded to repeated calls. "We can get you back in the office in two weeks or someone can call you in a day or two with the results" I was in pain so I ask for a call. Two days later still not call. I call the office back "The doctor is out on research for the week...you will have to wait - three more days for him to get back to you" "There is nothing I can do that you are in pain - you only let us know two (it was three) days ago you got your MRI." I specifically scheduled it in your building and was told the results were sent to the doctor. "Well they don't let us know they just send them" Three days is not enough for him to get back to me? "He is at a convention". Is there anyone else who can help me. "No I'm sorry I don't know what to tell you. I will reach out to him again but we close at 4:30". It was four.
