Dr. Lakhani was very personable and down-to-earth, but also very professional and extremely thorough. She answered all of my questions, even drawing out diagrams and taking notes for me! She ordered blood work and personally called me back with the results. I know I'm not her typical patient, but I felt attended to and like my questions and concerns mattered. I recently had to have a Thyroid ultrasound, due to a preventative test done at work, along with my past history involving radiation treatments. Had the ultrasound and received the report. I told the technician about my medical history, including the fact that I had radiation to the chest and neck area. The report itself is not detailed in the least bit, and only notes the reason for the scan was a preventative screening I had. There wasn't any notation about the radiation treatments, and how that could affect what was on the report. My primary care has recommended that I go see an endocrynologist, and everything from square one will have to be explained. It seems everyone in all industries is in such a hurry to get things done, and is not willing to put in the extra detail to make their work complete. This is a medical report that will get passed to different docs, yet is missing some pretty important information. Having a live person available to talk to would be helpful also, but again cost cutting measures involve automation therefore big lack of customer service. For routine tests and xrays have never had any issues, but this recent experience showed lack of detail. The type of medical facility should not be one that skimps on information given to patients and especially to doctors for analysis.

Despite being told otherwise by the insurance company and the doctor's office, OBSC insists that the parents are on the hook for money they are not. They flat out do not care, because they know that parents will travel across the country for this treatment, and if they have to get more than one treatment, OBSC can hold off the scheduling of future treatments over the parents' heads until the Center has properly shaken down the parents. Even after being told by the insurance company in no uncertain terms that OBSC is wrong for doing so. It's shameful. Or, as they told us this week, "it's a business."

They didn't seem to realize the people in the waiting room could hear their casual conversation. They also don't seem to know basic manners in terms of addressing patients using formal titles and last names, just assuming an informal first name use, and raising their voices to talk to anyone middle aged or older as if assuming dementia. I understand that it's hard to keep staff on hand, and no one has time to train front-end workers in civility and proper manners, the quality of the screening is what is truly important.

We have seen her once a year or twice a year for three years for my two son's various flu and other injuries. We are so grateful she is there. Please don't leave, Dr Kelly! Here's why: She always thinks of everything without me even asking, from meds, to at home things to do, to a school note, without hesitation. She always makes a little bit of small talk with my sons, but it's like she really cares. Bonus: The place is clean, the front desk staff is friendly, calm and efficient. They smile and are efficient and great with insurance and I haven't ever received a crazy bill from them ever. The wait time has never exceeded 15 minutes. We are out within 45 min including payment and lab tests. I am not getting paid by them to say all this stuff LOL haha! I will spare the gory details, but a failed hip surgery led me to seek the services of Dr. Kris Alden. He quickly figured out what had gone wrong and performed a very difficult revisionist surgery that has me walking again. He is nothing short of genius and I wish I had gone to him from the start. Because I favored my right leg for so long, I began to have problems with my right knee. Went to Dr. Patel out of this same office and again, a super sharp doctor whose diagnosis and treatment led to resolution. Requiring a credit card to see a pediatric patient with an immediate injury, even though the patient has had 100% verified insurance in their own system, and you also have a very good PPO in network with them (or so they say) is just ridiculous. and if you ask them not to keep the credit card info in their system for privacy reasons, they simply say well then we refuse to see you. Even if you offer to pay cash. That is very suspicious. That is also not doing the best thing for patients. This needs to change. I have the right as a patient to check my insurance EOB before being charged on my credit card and ****Stop acting like this is a retail business*** it's a medical facility. Please stop treating Patients like a commodity or just a business. You should not be in the medical field as owners of a clinic if this is how you treat and see your patients.
