I LOVE this orthopedic center. Top doctors, state-of-the-art equipment, new & clean facility, efficient operational processes, and one stop shop for imaging, physical therapy, surgery and medical equipment purchase/rental. I had an appointment with Dr. Chala to look at knee pain I've been having for 6 weeks. He did a thorough exam, and ordered an MRI which I got done within 45 min just down the hall. Then I saw him right after the MRI to diagnose the problem and he proceeded to order a cortisone shot and physical therapy. I got the shot before I left the office. I was quite surprised at how quickly I was moved through the various stages of my appointment. It was my first time there, and between filling out the new patient form, getting my vitals checked, getting an x-ray, having a check up with the doctor, and scheduling an MRI, I was in and out within 30 minutes. Considering it was very busy that's impressive, hats off to the staff. They all had a great friendly attitude as well. Hard to say "I look forward to going back" when it comes to a doctor's office but in this case I think it's fair to say! read more

Hung up on and sent to an unresponsive voicemail the day before I was supposed to have a surgery here that no one at RUSH Chicago has followed up on confirming me for. I hope the surgical facilities here are better kept and maintained! read more

Excellent experience with Orthopedic Sports Medicine Dr Yasin. He's extremely knowledgeable, well versed, personable & patient. Having gone to him for a 3rd opinion at the time, I've seen other Orthopedic Surgeons & Ortho Docs at NM, Rush (downtown) & IBJI - this Dr is the only one to have a visual graphic to show what he believes my issues are and how each would need to be treated to help repair these problems in my cervical, spine & shoulder. Impressive! The location & parking is easy. Staff are efficient & cordial. It took 6 weeks to get an appointment. I give Dr Yasin 6 stars, but Rush Midwest Orthopedics gets only 4 stars because they charged me $6.50 for a copy of his physician visit notes and they take 14days to get them to you via email. No other facility charges for such, not even Rush downtown - cheap, cheap cheap!!! read more

I had a fantastic experience today at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush, the Oak Brook location. I was treated by Dr. John Fernandez, a hand and wrist specialist who came highly recommended, and his team. The Oak Brook location is so easy to access from 290, right off York Road. Free, plentiful parking in a covered lot. First floor access = no stairs or ramps needed, for those with mobility impairments. Their COVID precautions are top notch: universal masking, temperature taking, social distancing, hand sanitizer, plastic shields, no hand-shakes, and lots of hand washing. The facility is super clean. It appears brand new! I tried to remember everyone's names, because each person was so pleasant and helpful this morning, but I may have missed someone. Sharon at Registration, Frederick the MA, Carrie in x-ray, Matthew the orthopedic Fellow, and the lovely Dr. Fernandez himself. Everyone was so polite, patient, and efficient. Dr. Fernandez and Matthew evaluated me, viewed the X-rays, walked me through their findings, and discussed their recommendations. I appreciated that they really, really listened to my concerns! I was rushing a bit because I had to get back to work, but they were so calm and attentive, ready to answer every question. That means a lot!! I had to leave before I got to speak with the hand OT about a thumb brace, but I left my phone number and the OT called me within 15 minutes with her recommendation for two braces that I can easily order online today! Wow. I wish I caught her name. Thank you!! That's great service!! I highly recommended Dr. John Fernandez and this location for orthopedic care!! I'm lucky I don't need surgery, but if I did, I would absolutely book it through Dr. Fernandez. read more

I have been going to this midwest orthopedics at Rush Oak Brook for quite some time now for very bad knee pain. I usually see one of the physician assistants to Dr Yanke for my injections, and I speak to Natasha Adams (Dr Yanke's administrative assistant) for scheduling my appointments, discussing prior authorizations and knee pain, setting up injections,, etc. The PA's have been great and Natasha Adams is usually great as well until she not. Are usually have great conversations with Natasha, but on this particular day, she was in rare form, and all that I could think of was what unprofessional and disrespectful woman. She was snappy, had a very nasty attitude, and constantly raised her voice. I tried several days to reach Natasha to schedule an appointment for a Zeretta knee injection, which I've had many times. However, this time was obviously different. Natasha scheduled an appointment for me and then contacting me to change the appointment stating that my insurance company will not pay for it before January 21, 2023. I told her that it was quite strange to hear her say that knowing that I've had these injections before, without a problem. Natasha went on to say that it was nothing she could do. I asked her to submit a prior authorization and she snapped at me saying that she had already submitted a prior authorization and that her team told her that my insurance will not cover before January 21st. I asked if I could speak to the research team that she claim contacted my insurance company and she yelled NO! I asked to have the decision in writing, and again she yelled NO. I asked if the team could call the insurance company again and she yelled NO I will not. I explain to her that I'm was going to call the insurance company regarding the decision as she encouraged me to do so. At that time I asked her for a code that was related to the procedure and she stated J3304. I called the prior authorization department with my insurance company and explained what Natasha had mentioned to me. The associate with the insurance company stated that there is no prior authorization need it for that cold, and that there is no time frame between injections that would prevent them from being administered and paid for. I figured at that point Natasha had misled me and just told her outright lie. I couldn't understand the reason behind the lie, but she was so rude. I could never get to the bottom it. Again, I called Natasha to explain what the insurance company said about the procedure and coverage, but she was very dismissive. I asked her if she could hold on for a second while I called insurance company and put us on a three-way call, Natasha snapped at me again statingNO, she would not wait but that she would take more calls and if we connected again that was fine and then she put me on hold and never came back to the phone. I don't care what kind of day Natasha had or what she was going through but when you get to your job, you put your professional hat on and you leave your attitude in the car or at your home. This is the type of unprofessionalism that I will never tolerate. A situation would have to be extremely bad for me to actually come on and post about it. All that I can say is people beware of going to this orthopedic clinic -- midwest orthopedics at Rush, 2011 York Rd., Oak Brook, IL. If you're going to see Dr. Yanke or his staff, you may have to deal with a rude and unprofessional assistant by the name of Natasha Adams....BEWARE!!! The bottom line, I would rather deal with excruciating pain and schedule an appointment with a different doctor at a different medical facility than to deal with Natasha Adams lies, unprofessionalism, and mean-girl attitude!!!!! read more
