I found Net Par to be a super fun activity that shows that there is so much more to love in the Capitol District. Net Par is very upscale in terms of design and layout - I could see it being a nice place to host an event with friends or family. They don't offer food, but you're allowed to order in from outside establishments or bring your own little snacks for your event or activity there. The golf simulator had something for everyone, like actual courses from around the world for the serious golfer, ones where you can just compete with your teammates to see who can hit the farthest, and fun games similar to Candy Crush that even kids would enjoy. You don't need to be an amazing golfer to enjoy Net Par. I definitely recommend it for your next date night, group hang out, or just to go play by yourself!

There is regular golf and mini golf, each with several options. We played mini golf which was really fun! We had four people and played almost two hours. They serve drinks and you can order food from a restaurant in the district they have a connection with. It was clean and well organized with lots of separate areas for golfing. It's new so maybe not every detail has been thought about so I suggest coat hooks maybe by the bathrooms.

One important thing to note is that you have to schedule your throwing time beforehand on their website. At the time, they supposedly did not accept walk-ins, but I do not know if that has or will change. Also, closed-toe shoes are required, so leave the sandals at home! The building itself is pretty basic and not a lot of decorating flare (which is fine, because I am here to throw axes). When you arrive, you have to sign the waiver, you have an opportunity to buy food, drink,etc and then you wait for your time to come. Once it is your scheduled time, you are taken back to your lane, giving a demo and overview of the various games and operating rules. After that, you are on your own but our guide was nearby most of the night if we had questions. He was able to answer questions and take food/drink orders. For the menu, they had popcorn and other small snack menu and a selection of canned beers, seltzers, and ciders. Prices were reasonable for the items my wife and I purchased. For the axe-throwing itself, you can reserve by the hour or lane. One hour is $20 per person or $35 for two hours (6 people per lane, includes training prior to starting). You can also rent two lanes for an hour for $200 (up to 12 people) or two hours for $350. There are a variety of games, including a traditional target, a Connect 4 style game, 21, a matching game, and more! Players are given clever names such as "Pain in the Axe" and "Axe Hole". You can also choose to use an axe or throwing star for additional fun or challenge. It's actually a bit more tiring than it seems. The atmosphere was very welcoming and there were plenty of bathrooms and they were clean and had all supplies stocked. Staff was friendly and helpfulWhen we were done, we were taking selfies near the entrance (there is a backdrop and props), and the hostess offered to take our picture. Came to Iron Horse Golf Club for a round while on the road back to California. There was no tee…read moretimes available, but the club staff went out of their way to introduce me to the senior mens group. Within a minute they invited me to join them for my first round at IHGC. The golf course is absolutely beautiful and a good test of skill. The regulars were very friendly and provided key tips when needed to navigate this great layout. All in all a perfect day on the links with a special group of golfers... and a staff that went the extra mile. Wish I lived nearby, but I'll be back soon!

The golfing experience here is so unique to other courses in the area. There's a little putting green at the front near the clubhouse for practice or mini-games, a nice concessions area inside the clubhouse, pavilions for rent, and a players shop where they sell all sorts of golf equipment and accoutrements. The course itself is super well maintained and very easily navigable, and they have golf carts you can rent to get around (a must!) It's not just a flat course, either - there are rolling hills, some water features, and small dips and valleys throughout. I am not sure if super serious golfers prefer a course with lots of different landscape features, but I did enjoy it. There is a pathway around the course to drive your cart on, though, so don't worry about driving into a ditch or anything. The carts have GPS too, so don't fret about getting lost. It was a nice day on the green the times I have went. As I said, I'm not a serious golfer myself but it was all in fun and to raise money for a good cause. If you're a golf pro, fan, or enthusiast, I'd definitely check out Eagle Hills!

I came up to visit Omaha for a week with my best friend, and we love doing escape rooms. We've done…read morequite a few escape rooms here in Omaha, but I have to say, this is one of my favorites. We did Blackbeard's Treasure, and the three of us, my best friend, her husband, and myself were pirates who decided to raid Blackbeard's treasure while he was off doing whatever pirates do. The thing is...we only had an hour before the captain himself came back. This was a challenging room with tons of puzzles to solve. The clues were just challenging enough that we needed to use a few hints, but they weren't so hard that we felt defeated. When we needed clues, the game master was helpful, kind, and had such an awesome sense of humor. He was easy to talk to and approachable. He even showed us his other rooms! And we can't wait to come back and try out Moriarty's next time. If you're looking for a fun escape room that's challenging and run by a really friendly game master, you won't be disappointed!
