Be aware of Mr Mover's estimate and pricing strategy! They…read morebase their "guaranteed" estimate on the inventory list provided by the customer. Everything sounds good until they arrive on the designated moving day. In my case there were 3 people: the older boss and 2 amateur teenagers. The boss reviewed the inventory list and reached the unfortunate conclusion that the inventory we provided did not exactly match reality: 1) there was one extra floor rug (true); one of the two listed file cabinets is a lateral file (true); the piano is not a spinet piano as listed (see the attached picture. What is it if not a spinet!). As a result of his conclusion, the following items would not fit in their larger available moving truck: 3 sofas, a recliner chair, an electric fireplace, a dresser's mirror and the piano. Who would expect that?! After a very long and serious phone conversation with the office he returned and said they would make 2 trips instead of one as a favour (the new home is located just 10 minutes away from the old one), if we paid an additional $381. Of course we agreed! What choice did we have at that point?!Other than that everything else went ok. No damage occurred, and we finished moving in one day. Thanks God! It is a miracle how Mr Mover gets 4.8-star reviews on Google and 4.0-star on Yelp! We are never going to choose this company as our moving provider in the future!

We were initially very excited about working with Fringe after reading about them in some of the…read morelocal publications, even though most of the coverage was in paid advertorials. Unfortunately, early on it became very clear that the designer was way off track in her selections and presenting a plan that had no flow or cohesion with the rest of the home; merely a laundry list of items to purchase. When we did our own research on the pieces presented, it was clear that colors, scale, and overall cohesion was way off and so we decided to end the relationship. We were initially required to sign a contract for her to commence with the work, but when we decided to move in another direction with our project, the designer was unclear about the terms of the agreement she required us to sign. In fact, we had the option of choosing $2,500.00 in furnishings, but were sent an invoice for $2,500.00 with no mention of this option. When we pointed out the terms of the contract to the designer we were turned over to the owner of the store who wrote a very curt email to us that didn't address our questions or attempt to proceed in good faith. At that point we decided the situation was getting too toxic to continue with them and just paid the invoice. We have worked with other designer firms in the past so we are familiar with design agreements and making sure that designers are fairly compensated for their work. With Fringe Interiors, we believe that we were taken advantage of by a sales person and an owner, both of whom were more concerned with commissions than with building a long term customer relationship or future referrals.

Justin was prompt with his arrival, he was frank with his assessment and did not sugar coat the problem, but most satisfying was his efficient and thorough repairs. Being a former Sears appliance sales person 20 years ago, I learned to purchase an extended warranty. I learned first hand that people are shocked at the cost of the parts. People expect appliance repairs to be cheap, they often are not. Often parts are sold as a kit, and a kit can contain many parts and often you only need 1 part, but you must purchase the kit. You can pay extra for a pro bike fitting by owner Brent Emery, who won a silver medal in cycling at the 1984 Summer Olympics, and is extremely knowledgeable about all things cycling. Even if you don't do that, however, you will be sold a bike that is best for you and we be fitted on it before you go out the door. Brent also has a special affinity for adapting bicycles to those with disabilities, so there is a place in heaven for him because of that!
