The membership service here is borderline criminal. God forbid you ever want to cancel because they make it nearly impossible. Nice surprise! First impressions were 'this place is huge', followed with noting how clean and generally inviting the space was. And the bathroom: upon walking in the angels of cleanliness heralded my entrance. How nice it is to need to use the facilities of a public place and not have to worry about accidentally touching ANYTHING. Although on a mission to get to the range-section of the facility, I semi-noticed a variety of merchandise to be purchased: used weapons, t-shirts, hats, ammo - other stuff, just not sure what. It was arranged throughout, and again, mission: range-section. Range-section. Wow. Getting "legal" was easy-peasy. The necessary documents to be read and autographed were online and available via an iPad. There were a variety of target options - including fun targets. I opted for the Battle Ship layout. (Still couldn't sink my own *&^%$ battleship, but that's another story that involves returning* to MSC and practicing.) The greatest feature was the employees. Those with whom I came into contact were friendly, kind, and helpful - except Matt. Matt was an above-and-beyond rockstar. (The others likely were as well, Matt was just the one stuck with me.) I was beyond impressed and grateful for Matt's proactiveness while I was on the range. Ditto, his knowledge and passion. There were a couple of pieces of advice I found to be SUPER helpful, yet to date had not learned from anyone else. The passion, kindness, and friendly attitude still leaves me wondering if perhaps he wasn't just some firearms enthusiast who wondered in off the streets. Poor customer service, when you place an order it never arrives in a timely manner, they always have excuses. You can never actually talk to a person who knows anything. When I ordered was told 7-10 days, after 2 weeks, now they tell me they don't know anything about my order and can't tell me when it will be there. They have my money already, but I have nothing! I was pleasantly surprised with how large and clean MSC is. When you walk in the front door you are greeted with the warm, smiling and friendly face of Wendy. I could already tell that this was someplace I wanted to learn more about. She truly makes you feel welcome. In fact the entire staff follows her lead and are all glad you are there. The Center is divided into two sections: The retail side and the shooting range side. Retail wise has a feel to it that although they may not have the largest quantity of firearms to choose from, there has been a great deal of thought put into selecting a quality selection for the customer. There is also a decent variety of used guns available. Also a pretty good selection of ammunition and accessories to choose from. The range side has a good selection of target ammo and targets available. There are two primary things that have impressed me the most about MSC. First is the knowledge of the staff. These are not just a collection of retail salesman who only want you to purchase what they have to sell. Everyone that I have interacted with (which is probably 3/4 of the staff) knows what they are selling because they are all avid shooters and enthusiasts. You can trust what they say because they truly want to provide you with the best experience. Secondly, regardless of your level of expertise or skill level they all seem to want you to succeed. This is a fairly nice range. Location is a bit out of metro area but we'll situated off the main highway. Staff are friendly and easy to deal with. Biggest problem is in trying to cancel your membership. You get sent to an outsourced call center and you better have reviewed the rules for cancellation before agreeing. ABC financial services. Worst experience trying to leave a month by month membership ever. Someday they will fix this mess and deserve a higher rating. read more

"Welcome to what we like to call a Guntry Club" is how the GM introduced the range to me as soon as I walked in. My wife and I drove 3 hours to shoot here because of three major attractions that we wanted to check out. First, an indoor 100 yard shooting range with high speed target placement. Second, the indoor Simunition Range. Third, the live fire virtual shooting simulator. As we were driving up we were initially struck with how big this place is. The thing is huge... it's like driving up to a bass pro shop. Not even exaggerating. The parking lot and exterior of the building is well maintained and inviting. I was even more shocked when I walked in. The selection was huge, even for the current surge in gun buying, and the environment was open and inviting. The retail side of the business is separated from the range side and that works to their benefit. The range side has ample seating and unlike most other indoor ranges, those not shooting in the stall don't feel completely disconnected from friends and family who are. There are large glass windows that bump the shooter right up against guests in the lobby. Their member services were epic. Separate lounges for members and as it was explained to me the pricing makes membership for people in the area a no brainer. So, the 100 yard range was limited to four stalls and the range is just a dream to shoot on. The target runs the length of the range in less than one minute. I was able to confirm my zero and fired nearly 100 rounds in the hour I was there and the part that slowed me down was only me... I was never waiting on the target to make it down range. I watched a group playing in the sim range and it looked super fun. I'll definitely be planning another trip out there for this feature. The pricing isn't unreasonable either. As far as the live fire virtual simulation, I didn't plan on spending as much time in the 100yrd as I did but I was having a blast and lost track of time. I'll definitely be going back to play in this range for sure. All in all, this "Guntry Club" is like an amusement park that you can shoot at. read more

This is an awesome place to send those little metal projectiles down range. The staff is extremely friendly and somewhat knowledgeable and if they are not knowledgeable they make it up so that they sound knowledgeable. No but really the staff is great! They have a bout 20 lanes and it's an hour limit but if you change your mind and want to do two or three hours you just stay in there and keep shooting and pay for it when you come out of the booth. They also have a lot and I mean a lot of accessories and handguns and rifles for sale. it's almost like a candy store for adults. Great place to shoot! read more

This place sucks. You can shoot anywhere you don't have to shoot here, yet that's the only thing this place is good for now. They no longer rent automatics. From what I hear they don't cancel auto renewals for memberships which makes me nervous because not only is the customer service bad and they don't answer their phone, but I wanted to see if I would have the same issue. Sure enough they sent me to the ABC membership site and they will not cancel the membership at all unless you move like so far away from any Midwest Shooting location in the US. The membership might make it cheaper but you won't get out of it from what people are saying and I feel stuck myself. Ammo is ok priced as a member for the area, there's sales at other places that might make it cheaper but it's not crazy expensive. Since they don't answer the phone there's a lot of things you can't find out like if you can even get a lane. Saturdays are busy and you'll be stuck waiting for possibly hours to get a lane. read more

I have been to all the indoor ranges in the area, and Midwest shooting center is hands down the best! The Range doesn't look like a Dungeon. They are very well lit. They have a ton of guns that you can shoot that are theirs even full auto's. The store is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Midwest is a nice change in the Fort for shooting. read more
