I originally was very excited about them delivering my baby, I signed up with only 1 month to go! Had 2 in checkups at the center and 2 home visits... All but one center check up was all with Tammy. When it came time to labor I was checked for dilation at 11a in the morning by Tammy after having my water break at 8p the night before. Tammy said I hadn't dilated and wasn't having contractions so she gave me a medication to begin contractions and was told the she would come back at 3:30p to check again. Contractions began at 11:30a (30 mins after Tammy left) and were coming fast, strong and consistent by 3p and my sister had taken my phone by this time and was in contact with Tammy who said she was on the way... no one arrived until 6:30p and who did arrive was a midwife named Erica (I had never laid eyes on this woman before that moment). Erica checks me and still no dilation, she waits an hr & checks me again same... Erica says at 8p that we must transfer to hospital because my water has been broken for 24hrs and there's no progress. I am then transferred to Cleveland clinic. Erica contacts me once the following day to ask the birth stats (weight/height). I have attempted to contact Tammy every week for 2 months. Bethany is the only one who would take my call or even speak to me past the delivery of my baby. I've called, left messages with staff, and even emailed. I've done all but go up to the center and sit and wait for a conversation. Obviously that isn't happy with a newborn. I was very dissatisfied and upset that I didn't receive the care that was promised in my consultation. No postnatal visits/check-ups, just absolute silence. So I personally do not recommend this birthing center. It's really sad because the reviews and Tammy are what sold me on the facility.

In my opinion but he doesn't need to be working in healthcare. Thanks for denying me access to a mammogram. You can hear the absolute DELIGHT in this man's voice as he's denying you medical access. It's all so unnecessary. Aren't we kind of tired of angry men, policing our bodies in this state, as it is? Do BETTER. Hire better. Never again! This place is garbage.

When I tried to give a brief medical history, I was literally told, "go elsewhere." As a side note,in the two months I was a patient here, not once did I ever see a physicians. Only midwives and PA's. Which I would not have minded as much if, when I actually had a problem, I would have been able to get ahold of or be scheduled to see an actual physician when I needed to.

Mary is the perfect blend of reassuring and practical. While she definitely is nurturing and supportive, she also is highly competent and knowledgeable. This was the perfect combination for me because it meant that she put me at ease while also providing research-backed input that I could trust. She was also non-judgmental in her feedback, never really pushing me to do anything I didn't want to do but rather holding up a mirror so I could reflect on what was important to me as an expectant mother. A doula literally means woman's servant and there was never a moment where I didn't feel like Mary was there to assist me and support me in whatever way I needed. She was always quick to respond to my text messages and thorough in her research on any questions I had that she could not answer. She also was generous in providing me with several birthing preparation props during my pregnancy as well as during the labor. And she was even open to my request to get a squatty potty after I heard that might help with laboring. And when my midwife threw a curveball towards the end of my pregnancy by suggesting I go see a specialist for high-risk pregnancies even though I have been considered low-risk the whole pregnancy, Mary was there as a sounding board for me as I decided how I should proceed with the medical advice I was receiving. She also helped to empower my husband to support me throughout the labor as well. Rather than replacing my partner, she and him worked in tandem to provide me with the most calming and supportive birthing environment that an expectant mother could hope for. And even after I gave birth to our son, Mary followed up with me several times to see how we were adjusting as new parents and how our son was doing. After hearing other stories from others about their doulas, I know that it's not a given that you will receive the same level of care that Mary provides. She is so attentive and so helpful and reassuring and I am so grateful that when I look back on my birthing experience, I am filled with pride and joy and gratitude - so much so that Mary will be one of the first people that we call when we find out we are pregnant again!

We had a scheduled induction for Oct 30, a date that carries significant weight due to the nature of her pregnancy. However, we find ourselves in a state of distress due to our experience with The Birth Suites at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Approximately 5 hours before our scheduled check-in, we were informed that her appointment had been canceled and another person had taken her spot. We had made significant preparations, including boarding our dog and paying $405 upfront, to ensure we could bond with our newborn for at least a week and a half without any interference. The cancellation of our appointment has left us not only disappointed but also deeply disheartened and frustrated. This turn of events, especially considering the lack of availability for the coming weeks, has been a significant blow to our hopes and plans. We wish they had coordinated this better and not authorized the appointment to be canceled on us 5 hours beforehand.

She empowered me to always follow my instincts and trust myself. She'll put all the information on the table with complete honesty and integrity. I felt like I have a partner that I can trust with my whole heart. Fadwah provided me with all variations and solutions for every situation and together we decided what is BEST FOR ME. Her first priority was me and my child's health. Fadwah was (and still is) there for me for any questions and concerns that I had even postpartum. Not the type of person that is done with you once the child arrived to the world.. At the day of birth she and Lauren arrived within less than and hour from the time I called them to come. They were there to mentor me, help my husband with all necessary preparation for birth. From pouring hot water to the tub to holding my hand to the measurements that were taken. Nothing happened without my permission, everything in the proses of labor was with my agreement and on my time. They had a calm, peaceful attitude and endless amount of patience.. like it should be when a woman is giving birth. They knew how to approach me and what are my mental strengths and knew how to work with me. They took care of every little detail, and trust me- in labor there are no little details! My son's head pumped out with his hand attached to his cheek, and they needed to help with straightening his arm to make it easier on him and me to push him out. They identified that he was in a funny position while he was inside during active labor and instructed me to be in certain positions that will help me to give birth easier and quicker. It was a transformational experience that I already want to experience again- and my husband and I have no doubt about doing this with Fadwah and Lauren once again. I've been treated like a goddess, like a birthing queen, like an empowered woman and I knew throughout the whole labor that I got this. Fadwah works with your mindset, with YOUR GOALS and your birth plan- it's all about you. I strongly recommend to choose this harmonious team (and also my doula Gina), that worked so well together throughout the whole time (and it was long enough). Also, the team was extremely professional once the baby was born, there was a very structured process of measurements for me and for the baby. I needed a few stitches since I had a few tears, and it was all taken care of immediately. I chose to not vaccinate my child in the day of birth so all the other measurements were taken right away other the the vaccines. The team did not leave my home before I was fed and taught me how to make my baby latch. They cleaned the whole house, and left my home many hours after labor, after they washed the dishes and dirty bloody towels from birth. Fadwah helps me to take a shower and took care of me even though the team was already tired- they didn't leave me until I was completely settled and relaxed. There is no way to express the comfort in this kind of treatment. I didn't expect that, and I'm still overwhelmed by it. Waking up to a super clean house the day after birth- when you can even imagine cleaning- and see that everything is so clean... ohhh that's just amazing! What ever it is that you expect- it will be beyond your expectations. They came back to visit me the day after, then two days after and a week after the birth to do a follow up. There is also a month after follow up. To me this is a 10* star service. Fadwah and Lauren treated me as a sister, as a daughter, as a friend and as a woman that can do everything I put in my mind to. Don't expect anything but pure support and high end professionals, super knowledgeable, patient and open minded women that with all their experiences, are still humble enough to keep learning from every birthing experience- cause we're all different after all. I'm forever grateful.
