Salted caramel and stracciatella on a waffle cone
S D.

Had a variety of gelato flavors including stracciatella, kiwi, Jaffa cake, dairy free chocolate. The salted caramel was probably the best with chocolate in second place. Friendly service. Very popular spot and we noticed their gelato served at many local restaurants including the mustard seed. It's within walking distance of lots of restaurants and hotels. Worth a stop and enjoy while you walk around the town center.

Assortment of flavors

Stopped in for a scoop of Butterscotch and a scoop of Banoffee. They were both delicious!

4/10/2023- 2:00pm. Bought 1 ice cream cone here. They have a very good selection of items to choose from and toppings. Very close to the tour boats to find the Loch Ness creature and nearby a place to eat with seats. Give it it a try. We will buy little cannoli before they close today at 5. See the photos.

Everything we tried was so delicious. It was hard deciding on what to get, because everything looked so good. Staff was wonderful.

Great gelato. They didn't have chocolate when I went in, which was sad. Good service. Avoid the boring and soggy cannoli.

Great gelato. They went out of their way to make two picky teenagers happy with their milkshakes.

This was an excellent lunch stop for us in the town of Inverness.  We picked this place partially…read morebecause it was a recommendation by renowned travel writer Rick Steves back in 2014.  It is also located conveniently in the heart of the commercial district and right alongside the Ness River.  Our friendly and engaging hostess/manager was Alina, a 17 year veteran.  They have a cozy and attractive 2 story high ceilinged setting and we sat on the 2nd floor.  The lunch menu was a variety of high quality 2 course selections for a very reasonable 18.95 GBP.  Our party of 4 had a delicious and beautifully presented lunch.  For the mains, I had their traditional fish pie and wife had their filet of seabass.  Our travel mates had the rump steak and red pesto gnocchi.  It got busy and the kitchen might have gotten backed up and it took a little while on the food, but we enjoyed hanging out here.  Service was otherwise friendly and attentive.  Highly recommended should you find yourselves in the lovely town of Inverness.

Nice. But also somewhat disappointing. After reading the rave reviews we chose to come here for…read moredinner. It's a big and very busy restaurant, with two levels of tables. We were taken to our table upstairs, frankly it was warm and a bit uncomfortable. Our server was a charming man, who unfortunately for him was working along on his first day. The restaurant was short staffed and they assisted him very well. He apologized multiple times. The goat cheese salad starter was reasonably good, certainly not great. My wife selected the halibut special that was frankly too salty. My choice of the monkfish was much better. On the recommendation of the people at the next table, I ordered the cheese board dessert. It was the best part of my meal.

We ate here on our last night in Inverness after a very long day on a tour. We did not have…read morereservations but the restaurant was accommodating and kind. The World Cup Game was on so it was lively and fun. I will tell you, this was some of the best seasoned food we had the entire time we were in the UK (two weeks). Finally we didn't feel the need to add salt to something. The flavor was just spot on. My husband had the beer steak pie with puff pastry, I had the Cullen skink, my son had a pizza (I can't remember if it was on the kids' menu or not) and my daughter had a Caesar salad with chicken, which she eats a lot at home and had been craving. Both the skink and the stew were perfectly flavored! The fish in the stew was tender and so was the steak in the pie. If we ever go back to Inverness, we will be sure to be returning to Johnny Foxes. Oh! And our waiter was wonderful! I don't remember his name but a young blonde man with a mullet kind of haircut. Thank you to him!

We dropped by for an early dinner and got seated right away in a booth. The menu is broadly pub fare, with a focus on burgers and a couple of more upscale dishes (including an excellent fried camambert). We split the camambert (panko crusted and served with a fig and onion jam); my wife had a vegan Scotch broth + house made bread + tomato & pesto bruschetta, while I went with the highland burger: haggis on top of 6oz of dry aged Angus beef. The burger was exceptional, with a deep and pleasantly gamey flavour while the haggis added some richness. Paired with a pint of a local cask ale (Cromarty Brewing Happy Chappy pale), it was as good as dinner as we could've imagined on our first night in the Highlands.
