Found myself in Renton looking for a good coffee place open early. Mighty Mugs popped up on Yelp, was close by, and had excellent ratings, so I thought id give it a try. Ordered an energy drink and a latte. The energy drink was delicious, and when my wife took her first sip of her latte, her response was, "Wow, that's good coffee." So there you go. Also got a bagel sandwich. It was good enough. It was a premade heat up sort of thing, but I'm sure it was better than the $10 continental breakfast the Hilton was offering. This Mighty Mugs is no longer in the same gas station parking lot that it used to be (at the bottom of the hill by Valley). It's moved to another gas station parking lot like a minute down the road, and it's gotten a facelift! I vividly remember the old VW bug attached to this Mighty Mugs but they did away with that and they now have a chic, modern coffee trailer. It's super tiny and super cute. The barista that was working when I went was nice and personable. My coffee tasted great and was about the usual price I pay at other stands. All in all, would definitely stop by here if I'm needing a pick-me-up when in the area! read more

Love this little shop. My friends and I got three drinks: 1. Lucky Charms with an add shot 2. Four Fight with oat 3. Mug Bug with soy with an add shot The barista was super sweet and nice to us when we met her. She was so enthusiastic and she let us know that there's a free add shot on Mondays and it made our morning! We didn't get her name but she had a Seahawks tattoo on her chest. Go Hawks! The lucky charm was amazing. It was a perfect level of sweetness. The Four Fight was fantastic too. We noticed they used Costco oat (we don't really like Costco oat). Honestly, this place has brewed me some of the best cups of coffee I've had in Washington. I get the iced caramel latte with almond milk here and ask for 1.5 pumps of caramel and it's PERFECT every time! You can taste the high quality of the coffee and it is very strong. This place is pricier than other places but it's worth it. I work down the street and would come more often if it was a little cheaper. The only thing they could improve on is letting the customer know how much they are getting charged. I've never been given a receipt and never had to sign for my card payment so I found that a little odd. Other than that, go here to get your coffee! read more

What a fun experience ! Ive always wanted to stop by this coffee shop because of the VW beetle thats mounted out front. Normally very skeptical about coffe but was pleasantly surprised the taste ! Normally when I get blended drinks, all you can taste it sugar and flavoring. Tried a blended vanilla coffee and it came out perfect. Never heard of their choice in roaster but the taste again was pretty darn good ! Will be coming back here for sure. read more

I noticed this stand because it's located in the gas station where Seattle attempted to be like Fast & Furious movies with the street racing meet here. There's a cute little Beetle in front of the coffee stand so you can't miss it. Convenient if you're going to hop on the freeway. But convenient doesn't always wins, the coffee here is also spot on and baristas are so cheerful. I honestly don't know how the hell you can be so bubbly this early. Hahaha. I never write reviews but I was just there and I got a strawberry/blue raspberry lemonaid and it is amazing. Normally I have to ask for extra flavor or less ice but this is the first coffee stand to EVER do the right flavor and right amount of ice. Super yummy drink with fast friendly service. But this coffee was smooth and made with love! I've used that line before, but ONLY when I seriously mean it! :D It's a two sided drive thru, and so you know, the first time I drove past the place I thought it was a little "too" funky for my taste...the partial VW bug bolting out of the side was cool and crazy fun, but I guess I'm not that cool and go for more neutral vibes and tones.... I got the iced sticky bun latte- it was delicious but if you don't like sweet then beware! It's sweet and creamy and cinnamon-y. I've been here three times now and each time have received such good drinks and amazingly friendly baristas. First time I asked them to surprise me, as long as it had espresso in it. I ended up with a hot toasted marshmallow and caramel drink which was ssooooo good, she even put caramel whipped topping on it. Next time I tried my 'go to' drink to see how they make it, as it seems everybody makes it differently. Which is a hot spiced dirty Chai latte, extra shots of espresso.. again, not disappointed, and this time I tried one of their cookies. The barista this time was very friendly and she talked about how the cookies were made locally in Tacoma. (Gluten Free cookie too) and it was ssssooooo good. Finally today, iced dirty Chai and a cup of the Umpqua oats which she kindly heated for me. Amy introduced herself, and gave me a punch card, I will definitely be filling that up. Don't pass this place by.. it's semi hidden and on the corner of a very busy intersection which always makes it interesting to get in and out of the parking lot, but I promise. It's worth it. I have been wanting to try this coffee stand for the longest time & today I finally stopped by to grab me an iced white mocha. And.... I just realized I have been missing out! I ordered a 20oz ice white mocha (comes with only 2 shots) so I asked for an extra shot because ya'll know I want my coffee strong. My coffee tasted good but still doesn't beat BFJ's version. If I got 4 or 5 shots, it would've probably tasted better! I will definitely come back & try with more espresso shots next time. The barista was very sweet & bubbly! This has been our go-to-local-coffee-spot since relocating here in October of 2016. Couldn't WAIT to get back to these cute drive up coffee shops that I discovered while working as a travel nurse back in 2012. (Don't see any at all living on the East Coast). How lucky for us that we live within minutes of Mighty Mugs. If you want fast ordinary coffee head down the street to Starbucks, I'm sure they will be more then happy to serve ya (referring to said comment below ) HOWEVER, if you want great tasting coffee and numerous ways in which to have it .. THIS PLACE IS IT !! Friendly baristas (Myra is our favorite ) and Daily Specials for those who are open to adventure/trying something new. I'm literally here laying in bed writing this review and waiting for them to open up so I can head back and get me another FRIZZ COFFEE (which was their special of the day yesterday). This is a tiny drive through coffee shop, which was not apparent upon reading a handful of reviews before heading here. ***Coffee snob review*** The plain latte was devoid of any real espresso flavor. A lot of milk, and very little espresso. No roast, no chocolate notes. Nothing. From what I can gather, if you like flavored coffee drinks then apparently they might have something to offer to you. Being that I'm an adult and enjoy the flavor of coffee, their offerings fall short. Use this information to calibrate your expectations. I did want to give a special mention for some very thoughtful customer service. I mistakenly left my credit card on the clip board, and the nice girl working there literally chased our car down across the parking lot to return my card to me. 5 stars for customer service, and 5 stars for her athletic gait. read more
