This place is legit. The real deal. It's weird inside, the decor is all over the place. That's the first sign that it's gonna be good because they don't need to impress you. They also had printed the names of the dishes on sheets of paper, which are taped to the walls. That's old-school marketing, which means they've been doing this a long time. Lastly, the food is spicy. Numbingly spicy. If you can't handle it, that's not their problem because this is what they do best. Would eat here again!

8/10 - Very surprised that this place existed. Food was amazing, quantity matches the quality as well. As soon as we came on, we were greeted and they even helped me packed the leftover. The place is cutely decorated.

Very authentic Sichuan cuisine impressed family owned homemade stuff talking by Sichuan dialect crying

The food is awesome and the owners are very friendly. I highly recommend it. My wife and I even talked about coming back soon to try other menu items.

It is located in the Great Wall Shopping Mall in Kent. I recommend entering on the left side( when you're looking at the maib entrance for the mall) doors, as youll see it on your right side. Just look for the lit up red letters. The store itself isn't big, so just be aware as they can get pretty busy. Once inside you'll see fresh veggies, meats and other toppings on the right side. But don't get too carried away, because they do weigh it by the pound and it can add up fast and you'll have the modt expensive malatang ever. Haha. If you have a severe nut or seasame allergy, this place is not for you since they use all of the above. They do advise if you have an allergy to let them know. Its also noted that they use milk in their sous so be aware. They did add a tomato based soup, but there wasnt much details on if they still included the nuts and milk, so please confirm with the staff. I love spicy so I got it spicy, but to me it wasn't but to the rest of the crew, they were sweating. And the staff does advise not to get it if you cant do spicy. If you like pork, the crew got the sweet and sour pork. Its different from other spots since the pork is flattened out. And they said it has a nice crunch and taste. They do have drinks available for purchase from soda to asian teas thats to the right of the register. Service was good, the staff was friendly and nice!

This is my second time at Spicy Chongqing. I left satisfied last time, and I'm just as satisfied…read morethis time! I won't say much about the ambiance or service -- let's focus on the food itself. Yu Xiang Rou Si (Fish-Flavored Shredded Pork): This is a classic Sichuan dish. The most authentic version comes from the Xiaohe school of Sichuan cuisine. Its signature flavor should have a subtle smoky note in the back of the nose. This dish strikes a great balance between sweet and salty. While the smokiness isn't very pronounced, the sweetness and spiciness are beautifully balanced. The heat here is more intense than at other places -- I think most Westerners might find it hard to handle, but personally, I love its straightforward, punchy character. Braised Eggplant: I've tried both eggplant dishes here, and each is outstanding. Eggplant itself is tricky to cook because it first absorbs oil and then releases it during cooking. The chef handles this perfectly. Mao Xue Wang (Spicy Tripe & Blood Curd Stew): Consistent and high-quality. Consistency is the most basic yet highest standard for judging any good stir-fry restaurant. Seafood Tofu Casserole: In my opinion, tofu is one of the greatest inventions in human culinary history. Soybeans contain substances that humans can't digest, meaning that without processing, they have no nutritional value. But when soybeans are broken down at the cellular level and transformed into tofu, all their nutrients and internal structure are redefined -- giving us this easily digestible and widely loved food. Since tofu's density makes it less likely to absorb flavors, a rich, thick sauce is a very clever approach. Sichuan Cold Noodles: I'd call this the best dish in the restaurant. Outstanding flavor, with a perfect balance of chili and Sichuan peppercorn. Will be back again!

The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall leading to ranch 99 (Asian supermarket). I've had this spot pinned on my Google Maps for the longest time but just never had the opportunity to make the drive there. This place was easy to miss if you don't look carefully so I'm glad I saw this recommended by a Seattle foodie I follow on instagram. We ordered the spicy braised beef noodles and steamed dumplings to share since we weren't that hungry. The braised beef noodles BLEW ME AWAY. The broth was so rich and savory, my mom commented that it tasted better than the one at din tai fung (we are frequent visitors & I agree) and the noodles were chewy (I love thick noodles!!). The dumplings were very juicy and flavorful but nothing too special. Service was prompt and servers were really friendly. There were so many other dishes on the menu featuring traditional Chinese dishes that looked delicious and so I do want to come back to try those when I am hungry! Definitely a hidden gem for good Asian food :)

On my first visit the portion was generous and the flavor was OK. The Hot and Sour was not the same, but I liked the Orange Chicken more. However, as I returned, portions got smaller, flavor got weaker and the chef ignored my requests for more heat and more seasoning. The last couple visits the food was flat out terrible and I now refuse to return. Unless they make significant changes, I don't see them remaining open. It's a slap in the face to the name, if you are not going to honor the original restaurant, CHANGE YOUR NAME.

But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).
