We tried the Eel Noodles and Spicy Beef Soup Noodles when we stopped by Happy Noodles. Both were solid choices, and they also came with complimentary appetizers like nuts and cabbage. That said, we found the dishes a bit too oily overall, which took away slightly from the experience. Service was friendly and reasonably fast, and the space was casual and comfortable. All in all, it was a decent meal and worth trying, but nothing particularly stood out. Still, a good spot if you're craving a hearty bowl of noodles!

This place is legit. The real deal. It's weird inside, the decor is all over the place. That's the first sign that it's gonna be good because they don't need to impress you. They also had printed the names of the dishes on sheets of paper, which are taped to the walls. That's old-school marketing, which means they've been doing this a long time. Lastly, the food is spicy. Numbingly spicy. If you can't handle it, that's not their problem because this is what they do best. Would eat here again!

8/10 - Very surprised that this place existed. Food was amazing, quantity matches the quality as well. As soon as we came on, we were greeted and they even helped me packed the leftover. The place is cutely decorated.

Very authentic Sichuan cuisine impressed family owned homemade stuff talking by Sichuan dialect crying

The food is awesome and the owners are very friendly. I highly recommend it. My wife and I even talked about coming back soon to try other menu items.

I won't say much about the ambiance or service -- let's focus on the food itself. Yu Xiang Rou Si (Fish-Flavored Shredded Pork): This is a classic Sichuan dish. The most authentic version comes from the Xiaohe school of Sichuan cuisine. Its signature flavor should have a subtle smoky note in the back of the nose. This dish strikes a great balance between sweet and salty. While the smokiness isn't very pronounced, the sweetness and spiciness are beautifully balanced. The heat here is more intense than at other places -- I think most Westerners might find it hard to handle, but personally, I love its straightforward, punchy character. Braised Eggplant: I've tried both eggplant dishes here, and each is outstanding. Eggplant itself is tricky to cook because it first absorbs oil and then releases it during cooking. The chef handles this perfectly. Mao Xue Wang (Spicy Tripe & Blood Curd Stew): Consistent and high-quality. Consistency is the most basic yet highest standard for judging any good stir-fry restaurant. Seafood Tofu Casserole: In my opinion, tofu is one of the greatest inventions in human culinary history. Soybeans contain substances that humans can't digest, meaning that without processing, they have no nutritional value. But when soybeans are broken down at the cellular level and transformed into tofu, all their nutrients and internal structure are redefined -- giving us this easily digestible and widely loved food. Since tofu's density makes it less likely to absorb flavors, a rich, thick sauce is a very clever approach. Sichuan Cold Noodles: I'd call this the best dish in the restaurant. Outstanding flavor, with a perfect balance of chili and Sichuan peppercorn. Will be back again!

The only issue I had is they had a TV playing very loud much that took a bit to get over. Moving on ordered Crispy & Spicy Tofu and Hot Spicy Beef Chow Mein. Both were really good. The tofu was a little drive but chili oil on it and that fixed it for me. The spicy beef was really tender and noodle were perfect. They seem to do a lot of take out but there were plenty of people eating in. Will be back!!

Dishes that were meh: beef and broccoli (broccoli was overcooked, too soft), the Black Mushroom in Vegetable was oily. Baby Bak Choy in white sauce was greasy-ish. Pork in Peking sauce was waaay overcooked and tough. Orange Chicken was not great. For a large takeout, it's convenient and the prices are fair. But nobody cared for the food in our party.

The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall leading to ranch 99 (Asian supermarket). I've had this spot pinned on my Google Maps for the longest time but just never had the opportunity to make the drive there. This place was easy to miss if you don't look carefully so I'm glad I saw this recommended by a Seattle foodie I follow on instagram. We ordered the spicy braised beef noodles and steamed dumplings to share since we weren't that hungry. The braised beef noodles BLEW ME AWAY. The broth was so rich and savory, my mom commented that it tasted better than the one at din tai fung (we are frequent visitors & I agree) and the noodles were chewy (I love thick noodles!!). The dumplings were very juicy and flavorful but nothing too special. Service was prompt and servers were really friendly. There were so many other dishes on the menu featuring traditional Chinese dishes that looked delicious and so I do want to come back to try those when I am hungry! Definitely a hidden gem for good Asian food :)

Sans Woks did some things very well and other not as good, but as long as you stuck with the items you like, it was an overall solid spot. New owners took over about 18 months ago and I was excited, they claimed to keep the old recipes, while adding more items to the menu. On my first visit the portion was generous and the flavor was OK. The Hot and Sour was not the same, but I liked the Orange Chicken more. However, as I returned, portions got smaller, flavor got weaker and the chef ignored my requests for more heat and more seasoning. The last couple visits the food was flat out terrible and I now refuse to return. Unless they make significant changes, I don't see them remaining open. It's a slap in the face to the name, if you are not going to honor the original restaurant, CHANGE YOUR NAME.

But for those in the know, Triumph Valley is really known for their dim sum menu! Off the beaten path, you have to take State Highway 167, as its just south of the large IKEA store. But definitely a culinary landmark if you are a constant diner of Chinese cuisine, and dim sum afficianado. There are only three dim sum, or dumpling lunch providers in or around the City of Renton (technically two). This is one of them, and if you are not early, it can get really crowded, especially on weekends. But the staff bravely soldiers-on with their dilligent service. The restaurant's ambiance takes advantage of its interior with strategic lighting in their dining hall. Very utilitarian, while trying to ensure a little bit of style. They also modernize the experience with electronic waiting and ordering system on portable touch screens. It actually helps the service. No paper. As for me, my focus is on the dim sum. All of my favorites are there. And, as diner of one, it was hard not to want to order everything. So, I ordered the "basics" of a dim sum lunch. One order of Shiu Mai, one order of Har Gow, and one order steamed BBQ Pork. It was pretty much all you need along with an order of tea, as well as a Diet Coke to wash it all down. There were other traditional dim sum selections, but I knew my tummy (and wallet) wouldn't absorb it all - as much as I would have liked. Steamed beancurd sheets, beef meatballs, steamed sticky rice in banana leaves... chicken feet, it was all there. The best way is to make a plan, and invite lots of freinds to make sure you can try EVERYTHING! Yes, there are other menu items, like I said, but for Dim Sum dining in Renton, this is the place!!!!
