Some ground lessons seem unnecessary. Update: I completed my Private Pilot License at TBA for approximately $40,000. Significantly higher than initial expectations. The school increased rates during training, including instructor fees (without corresponding instructor pay increases). During my commercial training using 50% GI Bill benefits, training was halted several months later due to billing disputes. TBA interpreted GI Bill reimbursement as 50% of every invoice up to eligibility limits, while their website policies suggested reimbursement "up to 50%" of total costs. This discrepancy created confusion over payment responsibilities. When I attempted to resolve the overdue balance in good faith, TBA threatened legal action. After I provided documentation showing billing errors, their legal team and leadership agreed to my original settlement offer, though this exceeded what I felt was warranted. Two years later, TBA refused to provide my Biennial Flight Review. I've since found more affordable alternatives for continuing aviation training. Bottom line: Expect higher costs than quoted and carefully review all billing policies before committing.

    Ok, this will be a little different since I am the wife of an employee here so this will come from…read morea wife's perspective only! Met my husband here for lunch today. We went out of course since they do not have a cafeteria for employees. Fine with me This company repairs planes. Pretty important stuff. Hubby star working h about 3 years ago. Took a little getting used to for him, a lot went down with them in the first year or so he was there, but things seemed to have settled down now. He enjoys his job, talks highly of fellow employees and bosses and genuinely seems to be happy here. And that is a very good thing. Pemco sits on the Tampa Airport site so it's a great place to watch planes come & go. We have treated our 3 yr old twin grandsons to that experience there and they loved it. They even got to tour planes that were being worked on which was a thrill for them. A nice perk to working there. Downsides from a wife's point of view, which may not mask my husbands....benefits are not great, especially medical. May be ok for the young & healthy but for us little older folks, not very good. They have not given any raises in pay since he has been there and are iffy about matching 401K contributions. Time off is fine, never seems to be an issue, but then he does not abuse this privilege either. All said, not a bad place to work. Hubby comes home happy, not totally stressed and that makes for a happy Mrs. Happy wife, happy life. Now give the man a RAISE!!!

We had to figure out airport-to-hotel transportation on our own since she was arriving at a different time from her teammates. In researching Tampa car services, I called 1st Class first since they are the only one with numerous reviews that are all 5-star. The owner, Victor, immediately put my mind at ease with the professionalism and kindness in our conversation. He took on the pick up himself even though he had an early start the next morning and my daughter's flight was delayed numerous times, arriving later than expected in the evening. Victor even walked in to great her at the airport, help her with luggage, texted us updates, and walked her into the hotel to make sure she was with her team. For me, this is just a totally unexpected level of service and care. Oh, and to top it off, he would not let me tip him additionally after the drop-off. I travel a lot for work and wish every car service operated like 1st Class.
