Completely dishonest people who told me the cost of towing was $125 when I called them only to give me a bill of $268 upon putting my car on their towing truck. When I questioned the astronomical increment, they started telling me about charge per milage and eveything they didnt tell me when i called to request their service. After going back and forth, they eventually forced me to pay $200. I feel robbed and utterly disgusted with these people. Will never recommend you for anything. Not only did your dispatchers lie about timing, even the driver was the same as they all kept lying about their arrival time. They keept me waiting for 5 hours before the driver eventually showed up and yet had the audacity to charge me double what we agreed on the fone. Very shameless people. Called them at 3:45 PM needing them to come and change a tire they told me somebody would call me back in 15 minutes, that turned into 45 minutes. After that it took another 45 minutes for them to show up (I was stuck in Oak Brook and they told me they had a guy nearby, they absolutely did not) then they charge me $225 to change a tire. They make you sign a screen that says you agree to pay the charges before you even know the charges, and wanted a picture of my drivers license to which I promptly said hell no. The tow guys seemed to have ZERO communication with dispatch. They picked up my truck and delivered it to an auto shop. They couldn't tell me how much the tow would be until AFTER it was done. They had me over a barrel. And the shop they took it to was not expecting us and irritated we showed up. They did work on my truck, and wouldn't provide me with a receipt at least the guy who worked there. I literally had to call the police in order to get a receipt after day 3. I believe the workers there are ripping off the company, and not handing over the money to the company. I paid them cash, and he then told me he would email me the receipt, but never did. I called a couple times, and on the 3rd time the one guy that works there said "why are you so desperate for a $200 receipt". These guys are rip offs. My Fiance was stuck on the side of the highway 7 miles from the house. He was quoted 145$ plus 5$ a mile. Total would have calculated to 190$. After arriving the driver gets out and says it will be 495$! We both said that was not the agreed upon price. They say if we won't pay it then they would call the police and say that my Fiance was driving drunk. We tod them call the police. Have them come he is not drunk nor does he ever drink, you people are ripping us off. Call them now! Let's see what they have to say. The driver calls dispatch and tells him there isn't any use to calling the police he wasn't drinking. After an hour of debating they tried to charge is 395$, then they said 295$ would not go any lower. They said we needed to pay it or the vehicle would be taken. My Fiance paid under duress. Do not use this company they will violate their verbal agreements of pricing. They will make threats to scare you into paying an outrageous price. This company has terrible business practices and looks to scam people who are in comprised situations. We are filing a complaint with the Illinois Commerce Commission under relocation service violations. Companies like this think they can get away with scamming good people. We called for a starter replacement and were charged $620 and didn't get a starter or even get a tow!! One excuse after another. They said they were 30 min away so we ok'd the tow. We are relieved until the driver said "our van was too big" and we should request a medium duty truck. He took no measurements and left us there. I have called this company because it was not far from my house and I thought that would make a difference. Their site stated towing starts at $85. My house is less than 2 miles away from body shop and i was sure that the towing cost will not be more than $100 (makes sense, right?!) Well, first of all, I was told by the owner ( Joe Maye) that it will be 20-25 min for them to arrive. And he did not give me a price, which, again, I thought would not be more than $100 cuz he knew where it will be towed to and the distance from my house. Well, 1h 25 min later, when the tow truck arrived, instead of 20-25 min that i was told, and we towed my car to the shop, I was told that the price is $165!!! I called that .... and asked him why is it so high, considering driving distance of under 2 miles? He said: "$85 is starting point for motorcycles and smaller vehicles?" What smaller? Bicycles? Even the fact that it was under two miles and that I had to wait three times longer that he estimated for me did not make him reconsider or give me discount. Mighty Towing lied to my dad about they're ETA Said they were 30 mins out. It took them over 2 hours. They towed his rig 8 miles to his mechanic shop and they filed out the top portion of a form and said they had to finish calculating the price and they would take care of him. They ask my dad to sign the paperwork then the went around the truck and came back saying the total was $890. And he had to pay to get his truck unhooked. They came to my rescue after my axle broke in the middle of 90/94 during rush hour traffic. It took them less than 30 minutes to get to me. It was literally the scariest situation I've ever been in considering I couldn't pull off to the shoulder. They picked me up and didn't bat an eye when I asked if they could take me home, which was a hour away. Don't ever use mighty towing from Naperville. 630-908-0050. they tell you that they will tow your car based on distance (driver kid smoking a cigarette whole time said that) and that it will cost about $80 for a 1 mile tow and then when They get there (late also lie about arrival time so you don't call someone else but that may be common practice) after they put the car on the truck and tow it 1 mile they tell you it is $250. do not use them the driver will lie to you on the phone and refuse to give you back your car unless you pay 3x as much as they quoted you. They admit afterwards that they lied but then said that no one reads online reviews anyway so what's the difference - decent point I didn't read one before calling them. there's nothing you can do about it (except use another towing service). read more

My truck broke in Joliet, IL about 1.6 mile out of the towing company called Mightys. I called them and said that I need my tractor and trailer be towed to Elgin, IL to drop the trailer and then go to Schaumburg, IL to the repair shop. Nice speaking guy said: "Oh ye, partner, no problem, we can do it". On my question how long the waiting time is I was told 30 to 45 minutes. From here all the nice things will disappear. One more thing: unfortunately I couldn't make any research nor read comments before calling this towing service because police were pushing me to move my truck from a driving lane as soon as possible (since there was no shoulder lane I was blocking the road). So I just called Mightys and was told they will charge me $210 per hour. And that's it! Thinking it was a little more than I expected (I do have a 6 years truck driving experience and know more or less about the towing rates) i agreed since didn't have much choice for now because as I told police were pushing me. About 3 (Three!!! )hours later they finally showed up, Owner of the towing truck , Joe, and one more guy (later I realized they will say 30-40 minutes to everybody who calls them since I was in their tractor while towing my truck and could hear everything, and it was at least two hours more to drop my truck so whatever they tell you is a BS). Ok, not of my business. I've been towed and it is fine with me. When we came to a final destination the most interesting things started. They charged me $1295 for freakin' 75 miles!!! Joliet, IL to Elgin, IL to Schaumburg, IL. People, just run Google maps to check miles. It will show you 73 miles. Even if it is 90 miles - $1295!!! Ridiculous! And I was ready for $600-$700 bill. Nope, I was so wrong. They made me sign their paper (blank, yes, without anything written on it) and after all they wrote whatever they wanted on it! They put 4:30 hours of driving but it was a little more than 3 hours. And I have a proof. They put some advance charges, some driveshaft labor (that is always included to per hour service), they put 11 tolls 10 bucks each :))) and most of all they wanted me to pay their way to get home!!! I said I'm not going to pay for it because it is just CHEATING and it is not what we agreed and was ready to pay $600-700 which was fair for 3.5 hours of driving but owner said he will tow my truck to somewhere else than and basically keep it as hostage and this will cost me even more. Since I had no choice I paid by my credit card and payment will be stopped today for resolution/dispute. And even if I loose, these money will go to hell for these guys. One day this nasty business will be ruined because I have NEVER EVER seen such a cheaters in my life! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! BEWARE! BEWARE! On 9/23/19 I called this company to have small a scissor lift moved that had gotten stuck on my front lawn due to heavy rain the day before. I waited 3 hours for them to get there when I was told over the phone that the driver would be there in 30 minutes. While on the phone with these THIEVES! I asked for the price. They told me $110 for the job. I said ok. Once the driver got there he asked me were I wanted to have the lift placed. I told him to just pull it over the curb and on the street pavement witch was a distance of only two feet. Were I would be able to drive it back to the trailer. After 10 minutes the lift was on the street. I gave the driver my credit card and he says the charge is $375 I tell him that they quoted me $110 He said that the charge is $150 per hour with a minimum of 2hrs. Very POOR customer service. They did a service for us April 4 in which they highly overcharged in the first place but when your out of town that's usually how it happens. Also took them a while to get out to my truck and they said they wasn't far out when the service call was made. Said they would email the invoice but we never received one. I started calling 7 business days ago to try to get the invoice and each time I called I got an excuse (I could name each one but I would be a while) now its to the point of calling and telling me to hold and he's hanging up on me or no answer and get the voicemail that says someone will call back in 5 minutes, so I leave messages and time goes by and no one returns my call and I have yet to receive an invoice for their services on a bill that I already paid. If I could give this company one star and a finger up the A$$ I would. They stated it would take an half an hour to 45 minutes to get to my location. It took them 2 hours. They stated over the phone $250 an hour for a rotator to pull my semi tractor trailer out of a ditch. What they don't tell you is that they charge you from port to port which means from when they leave there location to get to you and back to there location. They sent out 2 trucks to get my tractor out the ditch. Once they got my tractor out and got it towed less than 10 miles down and got it started I was out of $7,560. They said they will take a credit card than said they will not take a credit card because the price was too high and we had to pay cash, comdata, or EFS checks. This place seems nice and great in the beginning but after there services it is a totally different tone. You think you are getting a deal but they are thieves and cons. I contacted the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) and they said that this company is not licensed to operate.
