He came to my bed with several students from Nova University, the first thing out his mouth -was you might be scheduled for open heart surgery if I can't fix your arteries or they are in bad shape etc etc my brain stop processing anything else being always in good health and 71 this was a shock since I never had cholesterol high or blood pressure etc.- Needless to say all test came within normal range Including catheterism thru my leg artery Dr Ramirez even said he was going to do angioplasty if need it he didn't do the procedure Dr Ramirez didn't come to see me or discussed anything with me he was the absentee Dr the cardiologist in charge but didn't show or discussed anything After other Dr stabilized me to a better yet not perfect pulse After 6 days in the awful Kendall Regional hospital I was told to follow up with my Cardiologist's once I didn't have one, I went to his office Dr Ramires prescribed Digoxin at a high dosis 400 and Amiodarone 200 the pharmaceutical dr was concern of the interacción and side effects (from CVS ) he call me to advise me and discussed with my Dr Went back to Dr Ramirez and he treated me with arrogance and told me he was the Dr not CVS anyhow he reduce both drugs He ordered more test a two hour long cardio MRI ( I was told by him in the hospital my heart was pumping only 20% even thou I was feeling great Results came normal and with a controlled Afib that was not affecting me anymore but he said I must be on these medications for the rest of my life ?!! 71 I am don't want to add dementia or liver failure etc to my few years left then I went to a second opinion Dr very well recommended by a friend this Dr again told me my Afib was controlled but I could have an episode anytime the side effects of the medications were very bad he recommended Ablation with a rate of 80% To 90% susscess no dangerous drugs afterwards just the a blood thinner mild drugs. Dr Ramirez when I asked him about the side effects, he very upset said he didn't have to explained to me about the side effects of the drugs he was upset and told me he doesn't treat patients that question his treatment. I find this very unethical unprofessional egotistic and above all dangerous because it is my health and he didn't show any desire to let me know or discussed anything Dr Walter Ramirez has bad bedsides manners and lack of compassion and understanding. Stay away from him and Kendall Regional Hospital

From the moment you check in they're very kind and they do an overview to make sure all your medical information is up to date, all the staff is very knowledgeable from insurance questions, to coverage, even after office hours the DR has called to monitor progress on recovery. Reytor medical center has been more like a family than a visit and insurance ID number. They also offer you coffee and light bites. They're a one stop shop lab work, xrays, ekg, ultrasound, pap smear, they do it all under one roof. Dental is also coming soon, very excited!

Matt the physical therapy assistant has amazing skill in what he does, BUT management is deceitful. I've recently received a nice bill after management confirmed prior to my first session that they were in my Healthcare Network and I only needed to pay a $50 copay. I should've verified this with my insurance, but I thought I could trust them. The best part is they collected $50 per session for a total of 12 sessions and did not tell my insurance that I paid the copay. Additionally, they excluded my payments from the bill they sent me. As for the actual practice it is NOT recommended for the following reasons. First, your first session will be with a physical therapist who isn't a permanent therapist at the location. He was clear that he was just there, because they have no one else. Additionally, the physical therapy schedule he prescribed was not followed. He clearly explained to me what the assistant would be doing with me, but when it came to my actual sessions were basic. 10-15 minutes with the electronic pulse massager, ultra sound, and a 10 minute massage. They charged my insurance $245 on top of my $50 just for that! keep in mind you can buy your own electronic pulse massager for $20 on amazon and an ultra sound machine for not too much more. It's absolutely ridiculous! On my last session I expected to receive a post therapy plan, because the physical therapist at the beginning told me I would receive one. All of that was crap. They did one last massage and told me to just go start running. This place is ONLY interested in taking your money and that of your insurer. DO NOT GO! Since I have received my bill I have called them twice and was told I would receive a call back. Since my insurer didn't pay the ridiculous $245 x 12 sessions, they sent me the bill. Guess what.... They haven't called me back. I've filed a complaint with my insurer and hope this post keeps people away. Go somewhere that will invest in your body and your health. These people will not make you better, you won't get your mobility back, and they'll send you a bill after lying about being in your network. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! DO NOT GO!!!!

I've taken my family to doctor appointments, post-op appointments, urgent care & more recently to a COVID vaccination appointment. They actually called my mom to see if she wanted the vaccine. They made it so simple. Everything about this place is made simple. If you don't have a ride to a doctor or lab appointment, they'll pick you up & drop you off at home. If your doctor prescribes meds, you can stay & wait to get it from their on-site pharmacy or let them drop it off at your house. If you have multiple appointments that require you to be there for a while & get hungry, they have snacks (Cuban pastries & small sandwiches) & even coffee (Cuban & American, including decaf). There are healthy snacks offered upstairs during normal times in the recreational/fitness area. During normal times, there are fitness classes which are specially-geared toward helping maintain independence & mobility. The weight-training area is by appointment because they assign a professional to each person so that you don't hurt yourself. There are also various types of recreational activities offered (board games, parties, and entertainment). FYI the doctors here are also available on regular insurance plans & often have their own separate office/practice. It's not just physicians that only work here. If you have a specific doctor/specialist that you want to keep, Leon probably works with them! I'm nowhere near a senior, but when I am, I will definitely sign up with Leon.
