I am not impressed with the lack of humanity in their receptionist system. Nor am I impressed with the small touch pad they use as a sign in system that doesn't actually allow you to submit your feedback. I was not impressed with the nearly hour and a half wait to see a therapist resulting in no therapist and no human contact from anyone. I sat alone in a waiting room for an hour and a half. There are no receptionists and evidently no secretary's or support staff or anyone present to whom it would occur that they should check people in their waiting room. In the end, I did not see a psychologist there because I never saw another living sole for an hour and a half while I waited with severe depression for my intake assessment. The therapist I had scheduled with called me an hour and a half after my appointment, while I was driving home, having given up. I would never recommend this office to anyone with suicidal thoughts. Waiting alone for an hour and a half with no human contact but your own thoughts is not good patient care.

Honestly, I was extremely resistant - I didn't want to see a therapist, I didn't want to talk through issues, and I really didn't think CBT would help at all with my sleeping problems. I finally gave in, agreeing to "time box" the sessions to 10 weeks, just to give it a shot and see if it would help. After my first session with Amy, my wife and I both noticed improvements in my ability to fall asleep, my quality of sleep, and my overall mood and energy because of my sleep, within just a couple of days. Fast forward several months later, including multiple weeks of seeing Amy more than once a week. The 10 week "time box" is obviously well past, and I've begun to allow Amy and her expertise into more of my life and to help me deal with even more issues in my life, from being a better husband, father, employee, and just a better person in general. To be completely honest, I really wanted to not like seeing a therapist, and frankly, not like Amy. But now, I can't imagine my life without seeing Amy and having her help me through things, give me my homework, and help me to learn that I can work through mental hurdles with various strategies she's taught me. Amy has always been available - she's very prompt to return phone calls and even text messages when I have needed her, has been very flexible to work around my schedule, and genuinely cares about me and my family. If you're looking for a great therapist and someone who will care about you, get to know you, and take time for you, I highly recommend Amy. She's helped more than my sleep, she's changed my life and sticking with her past 10 weeks has been the best decision I've made in a long time.

A 5 year perfect patient with no problems and the highest level code clearance they would give me on Methadone at symetria. What could they change to make it better? Other than him, this place has the worst staff I have ever come across in any professional medical office. The receptionists never answer the phone so it's near impossible to schedule any appointments or get information. If you are lucky enough to get a hold of someone, hope it isn't Diane. She clearly hates her job and is extremely rude whether it's over the phone or in person. The other receptionists are pretty incompetent as well since they consistently provide incorrect information regarding insurance so make sure to do your own research before contacting them for an appointment! Amanda Twait is very unprofessional and frankly, a liar. My husband went to see this woman thinking she could actually help him, but after having a severe reaction to the medication she prescribed him he consulted another doctor for a second opinion and was recommended a different treatment. He decided to try this route since the medication Amanda prescribed him was making his panic attacks worse and even discussed it with her before taking it. Amanda told my husband that if this other treatment works for him then he should do it and reach out to her if it doesnt help or he needed anything. After that she cancelled all his scheduled appointments and wouldn't return any of his phone calls and after finally getting a hold of the receptionist he was told that he couldn't see any of the providers there. After my husband filed a complaint with our insurance provider, she sent a BACKDATED letter to him after weeks of not getting back to my husband stating that she wouldn't see him because of his "noncompliance with treatment" when she TOLD him that he should go with any treatment option that works for him even if it isn't with the medication she prescribed to him! I am DISGUSTED by her blatantly lying to him and our insurance company. It's disturbing to me when providers take advantage of patients and insurance companies to make themselves look like they've done nothing wrong. It's sickening to know she would easily turn her back on patients in need when there's people who are suicidal and could easily kill themselves if they feel like no one cares about them. Whatever you do DO NOT SEE AMANDA TWAIT. If you bother going through the hassle of making an appointment, see John Jauch who is a great counselor (and make sure to schedule follow up appointments directly with him).
