My friend needed to get her ears re-pierced. The only place that was less expensive than here was Claire's at the mall. The owner runs a clean place and he did a beautiful job. I ended up recommending this place to another friend with the same situation. As an added bonus the owner is very friendly. He will visit with you as much as you want. The whole experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional from the very beginning. The owner Mario was acting very odd, he wasn't talking much at first and I felt like I had to start the conversation, He didn't even ask me what I wanted to get I had to tell him. He then had me sign the paper work but HE DIDN'T ASK TO SEE MY ID and when I mentioned that the next day he said he doesn't have to ask for IDs if people look old enough!! He marked my ear with a dirty marker that has probably touched so many people's skin. After I told him several times I wanted my daith he marked my rook, and then admitted he marked the wrong spot because he was distracted by my looks. I also have an industrial and upper helix and he made me take them out with my own dirty fingers because he said he couldn't pierce it otherwise. That industrial was one week old and I told him that, but he reassured me it would be fine, and what do you know? When he tried to put it back it got stuck on the top hole and he had to force it through, now I have a bump on the hole he had to force through. The daith piercing Mario did was so painful when it shouldn't be that bad and I felt him struggling the whole time. He got stuck half way through then shoved the needle the rest of the way threw, struggled threading the jewelry through, then it started bleeding ALOT which I never bleed with any piercing. When I saw the piercing after I left I noticed it was sticking out of my ear when it should be laying flat in the ear so I went home and cleaned it and tried to push it back into place but it was sticking out because it was pierced crooked. It was also pierced way to far back into my ear which made me feel like I had a constant ear ache. Besides the awful piercing which I had to take out the next day, he was being a creepy pervert the whole time. I'm a 19 year old girl although Im an adult I was still very uncomfortable and I can only imagine that he does this with minors that look older as well, especially considering he's not checking peoples IDs. He had me take my mask off and said how it was hiding my pretty smile, kept making comments on my nipple piercings that I guess he could see through my shirt, and at the end he was asking me about tattoos and I mentioned I want a thigh piece and he asked me To move my oversized jacket out of the way so he could see the side of my butt and said that's where I should get a tattoo instead of my thigh because my butts so great. We went for a walk in after talking with Mario about getting a neck piece done and he said he'd be in at 1:30-2pm and we waited until 2:30 and he never showed, I had to text him and he had an emergency which was understandable but then we set an actual appt for today at 1:30 that was confirmed and we show up to the shop at 1:30, texted him we we were because he wasn't it and get a response stating that his 1pm canceled and he'd be in at 2:30, even tho we had an appt with him at 1:30 and had nothing to say but I'm here now and this response was an hour after our appt. As it was a last minute decision, we wanted to check out Mijos. It is small shop. I think it only has two artists. Mario was the one that greeted us and helped us with everything. We weren't planning to get anything that night, but it just happened. Mario was very friendly. It did take a while to get to get started because the front computer wouldn't log him in. He was patient with us both when we were deciding the size and font of the tattoos. He was pretty cool to let us pick and choose the music on his computer in the back. The only thing was, once you get to the back, it is just an open space. There's no privacy. It didn't click to us because I was only get a tattoo on my arm and my friend's was on her neck. When two other girls came in for the other artist, we kept making eye contact and it was a little awkward because we were literally two feet away from each other. Another girl came in for her nipple piercing and it was done right there with all of us in the back. Other than that our tattoo came out really good. There were 4 of us getting tattoos, we scheduled an apt and went in with exactly what we wanted. It did take a very long time to draw up our pictures and get started. We all had 2 inch tattoos, we got a great price and they stayed open late to get us all done. The tattoos were great, I highly recommend having Mario as the artist. He took one of us to help out. He was quick and did very well. I'm pleased with my tattoo. This was also my husband's first so held a very big meaning for us. I think they need a qualified piercer to work as a receptionist as well because there were frequent stops due to other customers. read more

Eric Sedillo was very professional and welcomed us with open arms. Very polite and respectful. Explained to us what to expect from beginning to end as he was drawing out the tattoo his father, the shop owner, came in and got in his face telling him to leave. Eric was requesting a bigger space which is in his legal rights for asking for a 10x10 working space so other artist wouldn't overlap with him. His father told him to leave the premises and that he was fired on spot! The altercation was very unprofessional on the shop owners part! Could have been handled in a way different manner! Don't let them trick you into telling you they can work with your schedule and then take a non refundable deposit only to tell you after that they can't do anything in your schedule (they knew my availability and said ya no problem we can do that!) this dirty shop is a joke and not professional at all. Went into the shop with my girlfriend to meet with Eric Sedillo for my tattoo piece. He was very professional and respectful. After I'm done prepping my arm and sit down I notice a few people walk in and head to the back. Eric was drawing out my tattoo and the shop owner, his father, started yelling and causing a scene. He told Eric he had to leave and that he was fired. Eric came and apologized to us and returned our money. Eric had only asked for a bigger workspace only because the other tattoo artists were very close to each other's workspace. That can cause others to bump into him as he is tattooing and ruin the piece. The owner did not want to agree with his request. Please be aware when booking here of the small space each tattoo artist have to work with. I don't recommend the shop but I do recommend the tattoo artist, Eric Sedillo. read more

I had the worst experience of my life in this shop. I went to get my Medusa pierced on my upper lip at mijo tattoo off Montgomery and Carlisle. When I walked everything seemed okay. I've been to tattoo shops in the past this one looked the same as most. So I go to the back to get my piercing done. My friend wants to record it which I did t mind. So I get the piercing done with and it's crooked. The owner tells me the piercing isn't placed right and we will need to do it again.. he tells me it's because my friend recorded the piercing being done. If it was going to be an issue he should have a sign or requested to not be recorded. I didn't get the opportunity for the piercing to heal I had to do it immediately after the first time failed to be performed properly. I go through with it got the piercing done for a second time and guess what!!? It's still messed up. His reply to messing up was "those are just casualties of war." . The owners way of trying to make it up to me was giving me a $.50 cent piece of jewelry. I'm not impressed and would never recommend this shop to anyone for tattoos or piercings. read more

I came to Mijos because I wanted to get a tattoo, and someone on Facebook had suggested Mijos. My tattoo is absolutely awful. The line work is shaky, and very uneven. There are even spots in the line work that have completely faded away, while there are other spots that are far too thick. The color is uneven, the tattoo isn't proportional...I could go on. Please don't be impulsive as I was and go with the first thing you see on Facebook! read more
