We were looking around for a live wedding painter, and what drew us in the most was a previous painting he had done for someone else's wedding that is so stunning, and we knew that he would create something magical for us as well based on that one alone. The initial phone calls and meetings we had with him went so smoothly, he answered all our questions and gave us so much advice and other helpful tips that would make our vision come to light more. We were also very 50/50 on whether our setting would be in the church or in our second location and he was very patient with us until we made that decision the day before the wedding. He never made us feel rushed at all during this whole process which was great as it's something so unique that you will have forever. As for the actual painting, both me and my husband cannot believe what he created. I think it is my favorite thing in the whole world right now. The reactions from all our family and friends at the wedding were unreal too. For the last 30 minutes of our reception, all remaining guests gathered around and you heard so many exclamations of shock and awe and every iPhone popped up in the air to capture what he had started. And it wasn't even close to how stunning the finished product is now. Every time we think about having this painting in our home for the rest of our lives, we get so excited. It is so beautiful and he captured our likeness so well. He even added and edited things that we asked to be changed. He is just amazing and both my husband and I cannot recommend him enough. She listened to our suggestions and took note of the parts of the painting that were most important to us - for example, we wanted a particular tree to really stand out in the final product. During the event, our guests had a great time chatting with her and seeing the progress of the painting. It took a couple of months to get the finished product, but it was worth it. We love the painting. It captures everything we'd asked for, and she even incorporated some elements that became special throughout the night - like the beautiful full moon that hung in the sky over the venue. Helena is very dependable- arrives on time and works diligently with you. She is honest and reasonably priced. For my home office, she devised an easily remembered filing system with index. Now, I can easily find documents where before I wasted a lot of time searching for things. In my kitchen, I had way too many spices, some were outdated, and I couldn't easily locate what I needed for a particular dish I was cooking. Helena helped me find appropriate spice bottle, labels and spice organizers so now finding what I need is a breeze and the spices don't take up unnecessary space. I also had boxes and boxes of old family pictures and mementoes which, of course, were just stowed away in the garage. With Helena's help, I now have beautiful rows of organized albums and, in addition, Helena digitalized the family photos so they will last and I won't lose them in the event of a fire or other catastrophe. Because Helena also is an artist and color specialist, she helped me redecorate some of my rooms and they look fabulous because of her good taste. Also, she will stay within your budget. For instance, she recommended some websites and helped me pick out furniture, window coverings, etc. that were very reasonably priced- so I feel like I saved a lot of money while also getting good quality furniture and decorating pieces. I had a nice photo that was taken of them many years ago, and Debi truly brought it to life. I couldn't believe how realistic the portraits were when she was done. It captured them so well, and was more life-like than the original photo. It's so nicely detailed, with a sparkle in their eyes - I absolutely love it. Every time I see this illustration hanging in their den it makes me happy I went to Debi's studio that day, because it inspired a unique gift that surprised my whole family for Christmas and immortalized the people I care about the most.
