This review is long overdue. Dr. Jee is fantastic in every sense of the word. He is kind, compassionate, gentle, skilled, well-versed on current treatment protocol, and has impeccable bedside manner. He cleans my teeth quarterly to maintain gum health. I always look forward to my appointments, because I know I'll receive the best care. His staff is happy, cheerful and just as kind. In the 4 years I've been his patient, I noticed zero staff turnover, and I believe this speaks volumes about his character and integrity as a person and employer. Claimed we didn't have an appt when we had it written down from their office, told us next one was months away, take it or leave it, no apology like they were doing us a favor. Didn't return calls. I had to get a gum graft on both sides due to severe recession. I remember getting the same surgery about 10 years ago and it was fairly uncomfortable to say the least so I was prepared for something similar this time. I came in for a consultation initially and my first impression was that Dr. Jee really knew his stuff. He gave me a lot of information about pros/cons, what can/should be done and I felt like I learned a lot about the pros/cons and risks of any operation I can get done. He offered me to get a graft from a donor. In my previous operation, they cut a piece of tissue from the roof of my mouth which was painful. I was incredibly impressed with how smoothly the operation went. It was a lot shorter than I had expected duration wise. There was only a trivial amount of pain experienced during and after the operation. I didn't even need to take any pain killers aside from the one that they had me take right before. I was advised to not eat anything on the side of the operation for a few days after, but the recovery was incredibly smooth and I was pretty much back to near 100% the same day. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Jee for anyone looking at any periodontal operations. read more

Where to start...I was referred to Dr. Jee by one of his colleagues. He had to perform GUM surgery! Who wouldn't be nervous about that? There is no limit to the good things that can be said about the people that work here. When I first came here, there was no wait, I was greeted very nicely and explained all the forms I had to sign. Dr. Jee and Andrew were really kind right off the bat and even welcomed my sister to watch my procedure. Throughout the whole time they were making sure I was comfortable and not in pain, which I was and wasn't respectively, and were explaining everything they were doing. Throughout the whole 3 hours in the chair I did not feel a thing and I am very satisfied with the outcome. They adapted very quickly to all situations that happened with me (spontaneous heavy bleeding at their office) and gave me calls throughout my healing period. I visited Dr. Jee with an extreme case of gum disease and had to get several rounds of deep root cleaning. My numbers decreased from 7-8 to 3-4, which is a normal level. Besides being a gum specialist and doing a professional job, they were extremely friendly and made me feel so comfortable in the dentist's chair, which I had never felt before. Dr. jee has performed two procedures on me in the last 5 months. He extracted a molar and then just did an implant. I'm writing this review because this guy is so good at what he does he deserves dozens of 5 star reviews. I am an anxious dental patient, mostly because dentists have trouble getting me completely numb. I explained this to Dr. jee, and he took great care to give me plenty of pain medication. I could hardly even feel the shots, he is a wizard at the injections too. The implant was quick and painless, and 4 hours later I feel almost normal. In addition he gives you his mobile number in case you have any issues. As far as I can tell, the quality of his work is great too. My X-ray of the jaw, where he had removed the abscessed tooth and did a bone graph, looked healthy and solid. I have every confidence that this implant will heal up nicely too. It's been many years since I saw Dr. Jee. I was one of his first patients on Arch St. He took over the business from the wonderful Dr. Marcia Wadell DDS who used to be my periodontist. I was so traumatized by the experience with Dr. Jee that I believe I have PTSD when it comes to having my mouth worked on. He did a sinus lift on me giving me "only" Novocaine. To do the sinus lift he took a hammer and metal rod and pounded my upper fixed bone of the jaw where a tooth had been pulled. Having 5 teeth pulled and 5 implants installed was nothing compared to that sinus lift. But then,,,,when I went to Dr. Loy DDS in Menlo Park to put the tooth on the implant, he couldn't install the tooth because my teeth had moved. DR. Jee should have, but did not put a temporary tooth or device in the space where the implant was to prevent the teeth next to the implant from moving. Also, I was told I would need braces to move the teeth back into position to be able to install a tooth onto the implant Dr. Jee had installed. I had not been back to a dentist since (~7 yrs - I clean my own teeth) until emergency dental surgery I lad done last week. I don't know how Dr. Jee is now. read more

This guy is such a hack the we sacked him and used a different dentist to complete my wife's implant. She has had another implant, and compared to that this was the most painful and rude experience imaginable. For starters, the office is run down and bereft of parking. The person at the front desk is rude and lackadaisical. To make things even more ghetto, rather than checking with your insurance company and charging you the difference like every other dentist in the US, you must front the entire balance, then they refund you after the insurance pays up. The pharmacy would not fill the doc's prescription because it was incorrectly filled out. When my wife told the doc she was still in pain a week after the bone graft, he said there must be something wrong with her because none of his other patients experience pain. That's when we sacked him and found another doc who completed the procedures without issue. read more

What can I say! Dr. Jee is wonderful. I have been going to him for many years now and just had an implant this morning. I like that he explains everything and checks to be sure that during the procedure you are not in pain. Having my teeth cleaned has been more painful than the implant which involves cutting the gum, inserting the implant and stitching the gum. EASY! I have always been impressed with his staff, his assistant, Andrew and just everything about this office. They are not only professional but approachable with questions and/or concerns. Truly, I can't say enough about the service you receive. I would recommend another dentist to have his procedures done by Dr. Jee. He is a gentle, kind and a brilliant dentist.
