From the moment that I walked through their door, the entire staff was warm, soothing, competent, understanding and PATIENT. Hell, BEFORE I walked in the door via email they were amazing. I walked in shaking and walked out ready. Speaking of... Dr Reddy himself was kind, understanding and so so patient. He was real. He was NOT condescending. He never ever gave me any crap about why I hadn't come sooner, he just got to work making me feel comfortable. If you can afford it, I recommend the 3d x-ray. I give Dr. Reddy five stars without hesitation. I am extremely anxious about dental work and had been dreading a wisdom tooth extraction for days. I was originally referred to a different oral surgeon, but deep down I knew I could not go through with it because I did not feel comfortable. By chance, I reconnected on Facebook with my former dental hygienist who knows my anxiety well. She immediately understood and strongly recommended Dr. Reddy. She even reached out to him personally to let him know about my fears. When I met Dr. Reddy the very next day, I instantly felt at ease. His calm demeanor, compassion, and genuine understanding of dental anxiety made all the difference. When I asked when the procedure could be done, he surprised me by saying, "How about now?" I was referred here by Dr. Mendoza and regret not researching before having my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Reddy. While the staff and Dr. Reddy are kind and professional, I've struggled for a year trying to regain feeling in my chin and lip due to terrible nerve damage from the surgery. Other doctors have indicated this complication could have been avoided. This experience has deeply affected me, as I will never be able to feel my children's kisses. It's been almost 15 years since I had the misfortune of meeting Dr. Reddy. I still have pain. I still have numbness. And I'm still dealing with the PTSD. I had to receive my first novocaine injection since the last failed attempt at Dr. Reddy's office. I ended up having a full-blown panic attack in the dentist's chair, and two more later on that day. Dr. Reddy has been my oral surgeon for years. He is always kind, gentle, and takes the time to make sure you are doing ok before, during, and after any procedure. He's a very talented surgeon - I've had to have some pretty complex procedures and he's by far the best oral surgeon I've worked with. He's also very personable, which helps one relax, and is staff is every bit as professional and caring. Their COVID-19 protection is stellar, and they've made it very easy for patients. First: I always come to Yelp when going someplace new. I was referred here by my dentist for a tooth extraction and bone grafting. After looking at some of the negative comments I figured the positive outweighs the negative and went for it. Oh my gosh am I so thankful I looked past the negative. I wish I remembered everyone's name. From the receptionist that checked me in, she was so sweet and took her time to check me in. To the woman who took me back for the X-rays and getting me checked in. Loved her! She asked what calming music I wanted to listen to and really took the time to talk to me as a normal person and not a patient! To Jerrika (I know I spelled her name wrong) coming in and really explaining the cost break down and what might be covered from my insurance. She even spoke to me about Disneyland and how the assistant to Dr. Reddy just went to Disney! Thank you for having a personal conversation and really easing my nerves. Ariel was the tech who came in to help with Dr. Reddy and I am so thankful to have such a caring and detailed person to help. From tapping my shoulder to distract me from the shots, to really explaining the after care. I truly appreciate that. Dr. Reddy was amazing! I was so nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed that I put it off for years even knowing it was causing me discomfort. I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Reddy in mid January and had a follow-up a week after the procedure. It is now late March and I recently found what Dr. Reddy told me was a leftover piece of bone fragment in one of my sockets. I went in a few days ago, about 2 months after my surgery, to get the bone fragment removed. The dental assistant first took me to get an x-ray and then led me to the room. When Dr. Reddy came in, he began to speak to me as if I had just had my surgery a few days or a week prior. He told me I could be experiencing some tightness in my jaw, he told me that my sockets should close up in a few weeks, and any discomfort should go away in the coming weeks. When it became apparent that Dr. Reddy did not review my chart before seeing me, I told him "I had my surgery in January." He turned away without a word and I assumed he went to read my chart. He came back, located the bone fragment, and told me "I am going to numb you a little." He then put some numbing gel on the area with a cotton swab. Then, with no warning, he gave me three very rough and extremely painful injections in my mouth. I have received many numbing injections before for fillings, extractions, etc. so I am familiar with how they feel. I have never received any as painful as the ones that Dr. Reddy gave me. I have also never received them without a warning first. I have a high pain tolerance, but Dr. Reddy was so rough, inconsiderate and so obviously annoyed with me for implying that he did not read my chart that it brought me to tears. It was obvious that the way he administered the injections was not typical. He then left the room to let the numbing take effect and when he left I told the dental assistant that I had never experienced injections like that before. I communicated my frustration to her and she acknowledged my concern. She then took me to do a second x-ray at Dr. Reddy's request -- this time a panoramic. After the second x-ray we returned to the room and Dr. Reddy returned shortly after that. He then extracted the bone fragment. He asked if the extraction had caused any pain, I said yes, and he then proceeded to give me a FOURTH abnormally painful injection AFTER the extraction. Before he gave me the fourth and final injection, he had already finished extracting the bone fragment. I do not understand why he would administer another injection when it was clear he had already finished what he needed to do. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any doctor. read more

I had a really good experience with Dr. Reddy a couple of days ago when I had to have a loose second molar extracted. I was in an anxious state when I walked into his office. Not only had I not eaten the whole day, but I was literally shaking from anxiety. His assistants brought me some peanut butter and calmed me down. As for the extraction itself, it was virtually painless, and I was quite impressed with the distraction techniques his assistant used to divert my attention. I've been a patient for Dr Reddy's for a while now due to a very severe overbite and cant issue with my both jaws. Dr Reddy has performed two in-patient stay operations on both my jaws during the past 12 months, so to say we have been through a lot is a bit of an understatement! Dr Reddy and his staff are extremely caring, patient, understanding and they go above and beyond to make the patient feel comfortable before, during and after any treatment. His new offices are superb with state-of-the-art equipment, and both he and his staff ensure you are as informed as possible before any procedure/treatment. The atmosphere in the office is very upbeat and the staff make you feel relaxed and confident. Dr Reddy always makes himself available for questions and during consultations regarding treatment plans it is very much a two way conversation ensuring as a patient that you feel you have been heard. He's also constantly researching the latest techniques and procedures, and presenting the options for consideration and discussion. I had my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Reddy on Friday, November 4th. I am so very impressed with him, his staff and his facility. I went in for a consultation about a week and a half prior to the extraction. I was pleased with how "state of the art" his facility was. It feels as though you are walking in to a day spa, it is gorgeous and smells really nice, kind of vanilla-ish (which you know is much better than the "dentist" smell we all know and hate). I had to get an x-ray taken and was happy to find that all I needed to do was stand in position and the x-ray machine would circle around me. His staff was AMAZING. Very polite, professional and informative. Every single person I came in contact with was fantastic. The day of the extraction I was very nervous. They did their best at calming my nerves, had me watch a movie on how to care for my mouth once the procedure was finished and moved me into the room where the procedure would be done. They were nice enough to have You-Tube on the big-screen playing music videos - something nice to fall asleep to. =) Dr. Reddy chatted with me while he was inserting the IV which was nice and the next thing I know: procedure is done, IV is removed and I am waking up nice and cozy with a warm blanket covering me. The rest of my time there is a bit of a blur from the anesthesia but my mom was there to take me home and the ladies caring for me made sure to explain everything to her because there was no way I was going to remember anything! Dr. Reddy personally called me that evening to check in and left his cell number with me in case I needed to reach him. Look guys...if you're scared of getting your wisdom teeth pulled, this is where you need to come. Dr. Reddy IS THE BEST IN CALIFORNIA! He is not only professional but calming, compassionate and caring. The only reason I rushed to get all 4 teeth out was because he was so kind. The office is really nice and reminds me of a 5 star spa. It doesn't even smell like a dentists office, as noticed by my friend. The whole staff was welcoming and tried really hard to make me feel absolutely comfortable. Vanessa took care of me the whole time and when noticing I was getting really nervous, would speak to me like I was a long time friend. This was even before the day of procedure. They made sure to explain everything as clearly as possible. From what I would be charged (making extra sure that I was aware that there would not be any hidden charges) to what I would experience after the procedure and what to do. Everything happened so fast and Dr. Reddy did everything himself. He gently administered my Anesthesia, performed the procedure and even walked me to my car. There was one really nice lady named Anca that was caressing my head just as I was about to go to sleep. Thank you for treating me like family. Other than being numb, it really didn't feel like I had anything done. After how easy Dr. Reddy made this, I feel really stupid for making such a big deal about it. The pain isn't excruciating just uncomfortable. As long as you take your meds, don't eat anything solid and wash your mouth out properly, this will be a smooth process for you. Dr. Reddy is so experienced that it really is nothing to be worried about. My bleeding subsided rather quickly, numbness wore off appropriately, pain is manageable and I am on my way to a really quick and healthy recovery. And hey, I lost 10 pounds and counting! :D What I like most about this place in particular is that they never make me wait in the lobby. They greet me and seat me in a room right away with music playing and then Dr. Reddy comes in shortly after that. I am not waiting for hours on end like with most dr's offices. It makes me feel respected because he respects my time. It also makes me feel like I am the only one there and it's all about me. :D The whole staff is just fabulous. Even Erin, who greeted me by name when I walked in and sat me in a room right away, was amazing. Everyone was really great. After reading all the glowing reviews listed here and driving from the south bay to see him, Dr. Reddy did not disappoint! The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and the office was immaculate and modern. Dr. Reddy listened to all my questions and concerns as if I was the only patient he was seeing for the day. He was warm, mild-mannered, and respected my desire to attain all the information possible pertaining to "case" (oral biopsy needed on white spots on inner cheek). He made sure I was comfortable and at ease throughout the visit. Patients have the option to watch music videos on their flat-screen TV during procedures. The office was the most high-tech I've ever seen. I had to call Dr. Reddy with a couple additional questions later that evening, and he returned my call in a very timely manner even though it was after office hours. Dr. Reddy is the only oral surgeon I'll take my family to! It was my daughter's first visit with an oral surgeon, she's only 12. Not only was she nervous, I was terrified. Dr. Reddy and his staff made me feel secure and eased my fears. I got a little teary eyed when I had to leave her in the room, he reassured me that my baby girl would be just fine. She was in good hands. He handed me a gift card to Starbucks and told me go relax and come back in 45 minutes! I cried and told him, you're giving me a gift? He then offered me a personal chauffeur to Starbucks... Although I declined it was the the gesture that meant something to me. I returned in a half hour and she was done. I recommend Dr. Reddy! Before I went to Doctor Reddy for 3 wisdom teeth pull out, all my friends told me how uncomfortable I would be and recommended me to take several days off. So I worried a lot especially because I'm already 25 and one of my wisdom teeth under the gum was somewhat infected. But the result is that I didn't miss any of my work and Ibuprofen is all I took to control the uncomfortableness and limited pain. Dr. Reddy's office opens as early as 7:30, and they have surgery appointments on Saturday, which is good for me. I had the surgery on Saturday morning, rested well and had cold soup for the weekends, and on Monday I was ready to go to work! I also had two return visits, both scheduled at early morning, which is very helpful to make sure that the recovery is going well. Now it has been 10 days since my surgery and I only feel slight discomfort due to the holes where the teeth were. Definitely Dr. Reddy has done a great job minimizing the wound and the pain as well! His staff are nice and they work with my insurance directly so that I don't need to do the paperwork myself and all I do is paying my out-of-pocket money and checked my well-filled claims online. I was referred to Dr Reddy by my dentist at the time. My teeth were so bad and I was in excruciating pain. I called they were able to get me right in that day. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to dentist and doctors. But they right away put me at ease. When I met Dr Reddy he was very down to earth and made me feel extremely comfortable. I had to be put to sleep and they pulled 6 teeth. Let me tell you, this was the very best experience I have ever had with a dentist. I had no sickness from being put to sleep and I had no more pain when I woke up. Even tho he gave me pain meds I did not need to take them. I live in NY and my dentist (Dr. Sonny Torres) here left a piece of tooth during my wisdom tooth extraction that started hurting and was causing a lot of pain. I was visiting the Bay area and my parents told me about Dr. Raju Reddy. He was very communicative and gave me an appointment right away. After the bad experience with my dentist, I was hesitant for another procedure, but Dr. Raju Reddy used Xrays to educate me on what's going on in my mouth. He was very accommodating and did the surgery that day itself. Not only was the surgery quick, the recovery was quick too. It's been 4 months and I've not had any issues. He has a very pleasant demeanor, explains things, very communicative and has a great friendly staff too. Now the best part. His dentist fees were expensive and I wasn't sure if my insurance will cover this surgery. It might if I use the medical insurance instead of dental insurance. So he told me that he will charge me the fees, and send me the refund incase the insurance works out. Now, most doctors will keep the refund (or not even try). I was totally surprised when after 3 months, I received a check for my refund. His staff even followed up with my parents to make sure I received it. He restored my faith in doctors. In January 2011, Dr. Reddy removed ALL FOUR of my completely impacted wisdom teeth... with LOCAL anesthesia- and it worked out great!!! I was really, really nervous. I'm older and the roots of my wisdom teeth were growing close to my nerves. Did I mention all four were completely impacted?? Dr. Reddy had to cut through my gums to get them out. Also, one tooth had a bit of bone covering it. Needless to say, the situation had all the potential to go wrong. The procedure took about an hour and fifteen- 30 minutes to numb up my face, and 45 minutes to extract the teeth. Dr. Reddy carefully removed each tooth, sewed up each hole, and I was on my way. I was scheduled 3 follow-up appointments, and he did such a great job sewing up the wounds that by the third appointment no one would've known I had wisdom teeth removed. The office staff was helpful from start to finish...from making appointments and contacting our insurance for coverage information....to the surgery and follow up appointments. I liked how caring the staff was to my family member on the day of the surgery too. They were also readily available to help with questions over the phone post-surgery. I did call a few times with questions on post surgery care and felt some of my questions were kind of dumb, but the staff didn't seem bothered in any way and gave me clear informative answers. I'm very glad we gave them another chance, and I'm happy to update this review and recommend Dr. Reddy's office. He's good at what he does, and has a great staff to back him up. I had a truly wonderful experience with Dr. Reddy! So glad my dentist referred me to him for wisdom teeth removal. First, I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Reddy. The consultation process didn't take too long. It included getting x-rays done, learning about the wisdom teeth removal process, receiving a cost estimate, and Dr. Reddy checking out my teeth. Dr. Reddy and one of his staff members also took some time to get to know me. We talked about what I do for work, where I live, etc. They seemed genuinely interested and it was nice that they took the time to start building a relationship with me. Also, everyone at the office was so friendly and welcoming! All of these things helped make me feel comfortable with the upcoming wisdom teeth removal. So on the day of the procedure, I had my mom drive me to Dr. Reddy's office because I was going to be given anesthesia. The anesthesia was delivered via IV and I fell asleep shortly after. This was my first time getting anesthesia and IV therapy. The needle insertion wasn't too painful. Once the wisdom teeth extraction procedure was over, I was still dazed from the anesthesia. According to my mom, Dr. Reddy helped walk me to the car and put my seatbelt on (I don't remember any of this!!). That was really nice of him though. I guess the anesthesia really affected me because when I looked at my cell phone's photo album later that evening, I apparently took some selfies of myself during the car ride home. Not sure if those were on purpose or accidental! I looked super out of it though. Definitely make sure you don't drive yourself home after receiving anesthesia! I didn't feel back to my normal self until maybe 45 minutes after the procedure. Also, later that evening, Dr. Reddy personally called me to check up on me to see how I was doing. The recovery process was pretty quick and not too painful. I was prescribed medications to help with the recovery and you're also given some handouts on things you should and shouldn't do during recovery. After the procedure, I had two follow-up appointments with Dr. Reddy and both appointments went well. I highly recommend Dr. Reddy if you need some teeth removed! He's a really great doctor! He and his team were great about walking me through the details of the procedures and ensuring I was well-informed and clear on the process. The day-of-treatment was very comfortable. ... So I saw Dr Reddy and my rating stays the same. Actually, I would lower it if I could. In my opinion, the practice here is indicative of one of the larger problems in healthcare today. Arrogant and condescending, with an antiquated business model of money first and people second. I have a feeling that the consumers are soon going to realize that they're the ones in control of that money and demand more for it. It might not happen before cash cow dentists buy next year's tesla...but eventually I hope the tide will shift. So enough economics and down to business. I set up to have my wisdom teeth pulled in the middle of December just before Christmas so that I would have the necessary time off from work to recover. On a Sunday night at 8pm I received a phone call from Dr. Reddy on my cell explaining that he is going out of town on vacation and would like to reschedule. Great, I agree and tell him that I'll call his office to reschedule (insert crying baby in the background that I'm trying to put to bed) . He then proceeds to tell me that I need to take down my yelp review about the cost and process of xrays...to which I respond that as soon as I have an actual experience to base a new review on, I would be happy to do just that (insert more baby that Dr. Reddy is keeping up on a Sunday night - 1 star). I call and reschedule for Jan 2nd, but a week before I come in (Christmas) I receive a letter from Dr. Reddy saying that he no longer wishes to treat me and my appointment has been cancelled. Really, a letter...in the mail?? I'm glad that I planned my schedule twice for this only to have Dr. Reddy screw me over (-2 stars). When I showed up to request my xray and let them know how little I appreciated what they did, Dr. Reddy told me "if I wanted your opinion, I would ask for it." Such a classic line, such a classically horrible way to treat customers. (-2 stars which leaves me at zero but unfortunately I can't do that). Dr. Reddy and his staff are the BEST! I was having discomfort in my wisdom tooth area so I went and saw my regular dentist. He told me I needed all four of my wisdom teeth out as soon possible. I called Dr. Reddy's office and they scheduled me for a consultation the very next morning. Filling out my paperwork and getting the nessecary information for my surgery was very quick and easy. The office is very modern and clean. They made sure all of my paperwork was in order and that they were actually in my insurance's network...saved me a whole lot of money! On the morning of my surgery, I got there a few minutes early and they were able to take me right away. They were all prepped and ready before I arrived. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive when I got there, but the staff's calm and professional demeanor made me at ease. I walked in the room, chose a Pandora station, got hooked up to an IV, and boom! all finished. They made me very comfortable before the whole ordeal, and were incredibly professional and caring! Dr. Reddy extracted 4 of my wisdom teeth at Plaza Dental (a dental office in San Jose), and the whole ordeal had been better than I could've ever hope for! I was completely under during the surgery (took about 1 hour starting 8:30am). When I came home, I took one dose of painkillers and by 5pm, I could take the cotton out of my mouth and feel no pain. By 11pm, the local anesthesia had all worn off from my lower chin as well. From that day on, there was no pain and the sockets have been slowly healing on their own. Highly recommend Dr. Reddy. I went to Dr. Reddy's office to get my wisdom teeth pulled after my regular family dentist recommended him to me. Dr Reddy is a great doctor and his staff is excellent. My entire experience at his office was fantastic. During the consultation, they sat me down and explained every step of what would be happening and what to expect. I was totally informed and helped to be at ease before having the procedure completed. Before I had my wisdom teeth pulled, they explained the procedure, described post-op care, and even were able to pull my insurance information so I would know exactly what I would paying out of pocket. Dr. Reddy is so compassionate and friendly. He even called me at home afterward to check on me the day of my procedure. By the way, he performed my surgery on his own birthday! The surgery itself was relatively painless. They put me to sleep to have my wisdom teeth pulled so I didn't feel anything, and afterward he gave me plenty of pain meds to ensure I had very minimal amounts of pain. I had very little swelling, and he also made sure I understood how to keep the wounds clean. I highly recommend Dr. Reddy to anyone needing oral surgery. He is an excellent doctor in every aspect, and he has a top-notch staff as well! read more

I was very dissatisfied with my experience with Dr. Reddy. I went in with an unexplained lump on my jaw. After explaining my situation several times, he recommended taking a 3D x-ray and taking antibiotics for a couple of weeks to see if it cleared up. I asked him what he thought it might be, but he didn't seem very interested in answering my questions. A receptionist brought out a prescription for the antibiotics and said Dr. Reddy wanted me to take it twice a day for two weeks until it was gone. I pointed out that the prescription was for 60 pills, which would last a lot longer than 2 weeks. She said "Oh, it should be 16, not 60." I pointed out that math didn't work either. Also, my first and last name were both spelled wrong. She spent about 10 minutes looking for a post-it so I could write down how my name is spelled, even though I told her I had just filled out the intake forms with my name on them. She double-checked with the doctor and came back with a prescription for 60 again and said it should be twice a day for 30 days. I repeated it back to her twice to make sure I understood. Twice a day for 30 days. Fast forward to when I picked up the prescription, and the pharmacist pointed out it said 3 times a day. Grrrr. Anyway, after they wrote the prescription, another receptionist came and said the 3D x-ray would cost $300 out of pocket, but that was normal and I really needed it. I was pretty hesitant at this point, so she went and got Dr. Reddy to talk to me again. He told me I didn't really need the x-ray at this point, anyway. Glad I pushed back! After getting the wrong prescription, being recommended an expensive unnecessary procedure, and generally not getting any information about what my problem might actually be, I cancelled my follow-up and decided to seek a second opinion. Then today I got a bill in the mail for $200. Surprise! My insurance didn't even cover the visit. read more
