The BBB has both my complaint and review. Read them and all other non biased truthful issues. Don't…read morebecome another BBB complaint. The company is not accredited for a reason. Everything Mack installed had to get replaced and redone in 2019. He sold me a 100,000 BTU 96 AFUE unit and after being paid. I was told it was a 80,000 86AFUE unit. To post a lie earns a lawsuit, watch how these facts remain on this site. I did contact the PA Attorney Generals Office and was offered $2,000.00 from the company to make my complaint go away. As I had to replace and redo all at over $5000.00 and had already paid Mack 4700.00 I refused. Who offers 2000.00 when they are correct? No one. Remember the BBB site, it's your money Again you cannot post a lie, it's called liable watch how this post remains here forever

Amazing customer service, attentiveness, and overall nice guy. I found Mack through Yelp (thank…read moreyou). When I found that he was local and saw his ratings, I knew I had to try his service at least once. I switched from a bigger company who installed my equipment because it was difficult to get service and I had to speak to 2 or 3 different people to arrange that. I was tired of having to make phone calls, wait for replies and being made to feel that people were doing me a favor by charging me to come out for work. Mack called me back himself within 10 minutes of my message. He "interviewed" me on the phone about the problems I was having. He went to my home, serviced my unit and had it running right away. He also gave me advice and suggestions about keeping it running well. The price was a little cheaper than my previous company, but still within the range for an annual service. I will continue to use Mack because he seemed to care about my home as if it were his. Paying him was the last thing on his mind, he wanted me to be happy first. That's difficult to find; it's a pride of craftsmanship that is lacking in the bigger companies. I will use Mack from now on and you should too.

I must ask you which one ? Every experience was more…read moremiserable than the last in the past 2 years. Your service manager in fact is very incompetent and unprofessional and has no clue on what he is even doing / talking about or does MOST of your employees from your service dept. As a paying customer anytime i call who ever answer's the phone is rude and short and will also talk over me when i am trying to talk. My opinion of your propane delivery service is on a rating from 1 to10 is a 3 at most. I am a Business owner and would appreciate any criticism by my customers in association with my business so i could improve my service.

Now they will charge $50 if you buy less then 150 gal of oil. For a long time customer in town that's not bad enough but now the oil price is .50c more per gallon then another place in town. How is that possible!! The price has always been a dime or so higher but not that much. I'm sure they hedged oil buying as it went up over covid and they profited greatly selling at over 4.50 a gallon. I've been buying for at least 7 years because they offered annual furnace cleanings. They insist on charging your CC before they even do the work and for about a 1/2 hr of service its 220$ which is another joke. They were here two times a few winters ago to fix a problem and charged me over 400$ for each visit even thought the tech mis-diagnosed the problem the first time. Then the next winter the part failed and they would wont not replace it. Not even a discount. Another $400 Called for a quote to replace my oil with nat gas furnace and again it was outrageous. It would take longer to recover the cost then i could save on switching. Everyone is entitled to make a profit but come on man. The new generation running the business needs a lesson from the elder before its too late. Pigs get feed hogs get slaughtered. I have no allegiance to any business and its largely based on price and i won't be taken advantage of as if they are the only place around.

Job was completed on time despite the problem being worse than anticipated. I use Fitch regularly for plumbing and HVAC services, and I'm glad I thought of them for excavation and asphalt. We live in a two story house and have central air/heat with upstairs and downstairs units of ac and upstairs and downstairs furnaces. We used Fitch for a long time even though we found them frequently rude and unprofessional in their behavior because we just assumed this was how everyone would be. Last Wednesday our downstairs air conditioning was not working. Fitch sent someone out. He looked and said it was frozen. He said the filters needed to be cleaned, which he did. He also checked the freon and said it was fine but that he was going to "top it off anyway." We wanted him to give the upstairs unit the once over since he was there and he did and said it was fine. The next day (Thursday) the downstairs ac was only pumping hot air. We called them and they sent the same driver out. He looked at it and said he shouldn't have top it off with freon. He said that he overfiled it it and and that when it was running today it caused the breaker to trip. He did not apologize for causing this situation or for wasting our time having him come out again. He said he had to drain the whole system and refill the freon (which was going to take some time). While the freon was draining and refillng he was looking at the upstairs unit again. He ran tests on it and said the capacitor was not working. Which sounded shady since he said it was fine the day before. He installed a new capacitor from the truck which also did not work. I asked him if maybe there was nothing wrong with the capacitors but that maybe the piece of equipment he was using to test them was faulty since is said ours and a brand new one wasn't working. He got VERY angry saying I was questioning him. I pointed out that the reason the downstairs ac tripped the circuit and he had to come back was because he over filled it. He raged at me and told me that no woman is allowed to question him and that as a woman I needed to learn my place (I am old enough to be his mother and my place is anywhere I want it to be). He started cursing at me using the F word and the S word repeatedly. My elderly father was there and utterly shocked. The workman tried to order me to go inside my home and tell me that I was not allowed in his presence but I stood my ground. He cleaned up his work area on the downstairs unit (which seemed to work after the tank was refilled) and left us with no working upstairs ac. He said our original capacitor did not work and he would not hook it up even though we asked him to. He said he did not have another on the truck. He said he would come back the next day and fix it if I sat quietly in the house (like we were ever having this lunatic back in our house???). I went inside and wrote a yelp review to warn women to not to hire these people. My father was trying to find another contractor to call. As soon as the review was posted the owner of the company called us. Not to apologize but to threaten us. The owner (who apparently will also not talk to women because he would not discuss the situation with me) called my father and told him it was my father's job to "get me in line." The owner tried to threaten us by saying if I did not take down my review he would not send the workman back out the next day. He actually believed we would ever do business with them again which was hilarious! My father (who witnessed the whole thing) told the owner that ever bit of the review was true. We asked around and found another company that numerous friends recommended. Called the new company on Friday morning and even though we were new customers they had someone out in 20 minutes. After all the years of dealing with Fitch where everyone is always miserable and sullen I was shocked to open the door to someone with a huge, warm, friendly grin. I swear this guy was the nicest, friendliest workman that I ever met in my life. He was happy and smiling and talkative the whole time he was there. After he was here for a while I told him about what had happened with the driver telling me to learn my place and he was mortified. He could not believe in 2023 anyone would come into a woman's home and say that to her. He could not stop apologizing for Fitch's bad behavior. Most importantly he checked out both ac units and guess what? There was nothing wrong with the original capacitor that was in upstairs unit. All that time and money wasted on Fitch this week when Fitch invented the problem with the capacitor and created the other problem by over filling the freon tank. The moral of the story? Do not do business with Fitch. They are unprofessional AND do not know how to do their jobs. I waited till Saturday to post this just to make absolutely sure all the ac is working fine (which it is). My dad and I are very happy not to have to deal with Fitch anymore!
