I would not recommend Mike's Asphalt!! Mike quoted us a price on the total removal of our driveway and installing a new one. However, once Mike had half our drive torn apart, he increased the price by $2,000!! We felt that Mike quoted us one price to secure the job and then changed the price when half the drive was torn up and there was no turning back. Mike didn't take out the entire drive as he originally quoted us because he didn't think it was needed. But he still charged us the original quoted price. The final product did not look good and the workmanship was poor. Mike told us our drive would last for twenty years but it's falling apart and we had to have it repaired after two years. read more

So I had been searching for a decent contractor who wasn't outright trying to BS or rip me off for 2 years!!! Somehow I found Mike...phone call was great and he came out quickly to assess the situation and quote me. He was very upfront about everything and more importantly genuine. All I can say is if you want the job done right call MIKE!!!! Mike and his crew are awesome. They installed a horseshoe driveway over 4000 square feet long at my home and the job they did exceeded my expectations.They are prompt and professional. Mike quoted me a price and that was the price I paid. I am a women who knows very little about the installation of driveways, and Mike took the time to explain the entire process to me, and he did not deviate from his plans. I love the fact that Mike answered all my questions. I was unable to be home while they installed the driveway which made me nervous, but Mike ensured me that he would take great care of me and he did just that!!!! A very frustrating and horrible experience. The initial job was very poorly done. My old driveway was removed. The ground below was not graded properly (as the contract called for). As a result, the asphalt put on top was not even and had several areas of being very thin. A hole about 2" in diameter began to develop after 4 months which revealed that the asphalt in that area was about 1" thick (the contract called for 3"). I contacted Mike and showed him the poor work. At first he was very reluctant to do anything about it and assured me that this was 'normal'. I pressed him until he agreed to put another 1.5" on top of the new driveway. Admittedly, this was at great expense to him and he was very frustrated by it. read more
