Explained in detail why the two areas were not fixable. Overall I am satisfied?, if it doesn't sink again. Their 1 year guarantee is the same as the other company. I have never had such a great experience with any sort of contractor. The responded to my inquiry within 24 hours. Brett came out the next business day. He looked at all the levels of our house and both inside and out. He answered all of our questions and even gave suggestions for what we could do ourselves. He explained what to look for with older homes and when to be concerned. It turns out we don't need any foundation work right now. Cancelled first appointment morning of appointment at 9, rescheduled and did the work. Only issue is that to pay for the invoice online they charge you an additional 2.5% to use their system to process a debit card payment. I don't understand why you should be asked to pay another 40-100$ just to pay your bill. They need a better service to handle Debit and Credit Card payments and not pass this cost onto the customer. read more

The guys came out and explained in detail what they were going to to to level my garage floor , I watched from inside and it was amazing how this works and the end result ware great they must have raised the floor close to 2 inches my garage floor hasn't been level for close to 30 years and in a matter of a few hrs they made it right . From Ethan coming out and giving me the estimate and explaining in detail the work that would be done to the work being completed by an amazing crew of Brent and Josh who were also professional and accurate and went above and beyond to make sure the job was done to my liking. They leveled out the entire sidewalk of my house and it couldnt have been more perfect. I also want to include Shelley from the office who kept me informed of when the work could be done. I am just amazed how nice it turned out and they cleaned up to perfection. I'm a real estate investor and I flip houses. I needed to get one of my properties side walk leveled so I called this company. I had also an inspection coming in for closing and selling the property. They scheduled me for the leveling before the inspection comes in. Before the scheduled date I had to call to confirm that date and pay but they told me that i was not even in the system and They do not know that I wanted to proceed with the leveling. So now I lost 150 for inspection that won't approve my side walking and have to pay another 150 for another inspection because they did not put me on schedule. When I was talking to the woman at the office I asked to speak to the manager but she said that he wouldn't do anything, which is right and I didn't want anything just wanted to tell him that I was upset of the way this happened and give a feedback but that doesn't matter and that's why I'm here. The woman at the office was saying that it was my fault for calling too late after the estimate was done?! Sorry but I did call you a month ago to get it done. Thank you for the wasted money and time. I will not recommend you to anyone. read more

Brent and Jeremy showed up as scheduled, on time. I had two areas to be addressed. First was part of the drive way They lifted it to my satisfaction. Second was a nasty patio in the rear of my house. They did a great job of that, better than I expected. For this patio I know it took much longer that anticipated. I am really please with how this turned out. I don't use the patio much, and replacing it was insanely expensive. They left the job site neat and tidy. On a previous house I lived in, I supposedly had a driveway lifted, that outfit did poor job. So I was really please that A-1 did such an A-1 job. Would I use them again, yes, without any doubt. read more

Unlike the other review here, by Ron C. (dated July 2011), my experience with A-1 Concrete Leveling was unpleasant. I contacted them in July 2013 about leveling my driveway and two sidewalks (one to the front of the house and one to the rear). Brett, their estimator, came to my home and provided an estimate. I said "let's do it." A couple of weeks later, the leveling was done. Because the work on one of the sidewalks was done poorly, I had to call and ask them to fix it. They said that they would. Another month goes by. I still haven't heard from them, so I called. "Sorry, we forgot about you." Several months have now elapsed. We are in November. They told me a crew would be out to do the warranty work on the sidewalk and perform the sealing (filling the seams between the slabs). A crew fixed the sidewalk - but did not seal between the slabs. I called again. "Oh, we don't do both at the same time. We have different crews for each." Finally, they came to seal, but before they sealed, they had to clean the seams - which I can confirm they did, because they left piles of rubbish in my yard (rubbish and 'spacer' material that had been in the seams). Then they sealed and the sealant became a magnet for blowing leaves - so I now have sealer with leaves 'glued' into it. But wait, it gets better. They send me a bill, which I paid, promptly. It was less than the quote, so I figured that I was getting a discount for all of the hassle. WRONG! Two days later a corrected invoice comes in the mail. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL SHODDY WORKMANSHIP. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would not recommend A-1 to a friend, even if A-1 was going to work on their property for free. read more

This company came out twice to level my walkway steps. Now, I know what you're thinking; the fact that they clearly messed up the first time (and had to return to fix it) should necessitate the loss of one or many stars. However, having dealt with many a contractor lately, I can safely say that very seldom are they willing to admit or rectify their mistakes. This company did both, it was a serious breath of fresh air. They came out. I was not happy with the job they did (leaving holes where the concrete had to have been drilled). They returned, admitted that it was their mistake and made an appointment to fix it. Then I paid them. The End. That is usually not how it works with many a company and I am quite grateful. read more

A1 leveled 10 patio slabs, 3 adjoining walkway slabs and 5 slabs of our front walkway. Every slab is level, every seam is level (no trip hazard). Two gentleman worked non-stop for 4 hours, cleaned up everything, and were very professional. Office staff was very professional and kept us aware of the job scheduling since it was early in the season and weather dependent. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone. read more
