The tree was in a tricky spot between the pool cage and the lake, about an 8 ft area wide. I had quotes between $400 (Any Town) and $1900! I decided to go with Any Town after reading their reviews. They showed up on schedule with 6 men, very professional trucks, and the appropriate tools and power equipment. They were so friendly, fast, efficient. Everything was done and thoroughly cleaned up in one hour. They very clearly knew what they were doing! The guy to handle the stumping of the trunk (same company) came back 3 days later and did the job. We were told upfront that if we wanted them to take away the trunk shavings, that is an additional $60. We declined and said, no we'd handle that. Well, we had gone out and when we came home there was a tree shaving pile that was huge and extremely heavy. Plus, we had no idea how we were going to dispose of it all. I called Any Town back and asked if they could please come back to remove. They were back the next morning and removed it all in about an hour. A back breaking, messy job. Their excuse is they couldn't get the job finished the first day so they did what they could. It would take them about an hour to finish up but refused to do so.
