I have quite a bit of family in this town and we took my grandmother to eat. -Appetizers- We got buffalo shrimp. My mom and grandmother thought they were too hot, but they were flavorful and well done. I ordered baked oysters with garlic butter and parmesan. It's May, so I am not going to eat raw oysters. She billed us 14 for the oysters even though it said I could pick two toppings with no charge for 12.50. The oysters were steamed and not baked. She basically told me it was just how they do it. They were not cooked as well as I would have liked. Neither of the appetizers arrived before the entrees. -Entrees- My mother and I both ordered grouper because they did not have flounder. It was fried. She had a side salad that was wrapped in a styrofoam bowl. It didn't look good. The grouper was really good. The onion rings were cold. The baked potato came wrapped in plastic. They cooked it in the microwave I believed. Mom could not cut hers with the plastic silverware. She sent it back and the waitress forgot to bring it back to her until she asked again and was finished with her meal. It still wasn't cooked. My grandmother had a grouper sandwich and onion rings. She enjoyed her meal and was happy she didn't have to cook tonight. Finally, they are going to charge you for water. Bottled water that they serve with a styrofoam cup with ice. It's very European of them minus all the eco waste. She gave me the itemized ticket to review, but the final bill didn't list anything. There was a charge to use a card to pay for the meal and it wasn't posted on the menu or door or anywhere obvious before you sat down. It's a surprise! If you want an overpriced meal served on styrofoam in the middle of nowhere, then you should hunt down this hole in the wall.

I was with a group and we stopped in for some hotel supplies, but happened to be there the week of the hurricane, so water (our main need) was scarce. We did manage to get some bigger bottles which was nice. I didn't really shop for much else, but it's a nice store, with self-checkouts and regular checkouts, and everything a Publix has!

Many people come here for their beer, their smokes, to scratch off lottery tickets, and for the awesome chicken gizzards. When I was little I came here for Now & Laters candy when I would only have a dollar (back when a dollar was worth a little more). Speaking of chicken gizzards, they use to have some of the best chicken gizzards here, especially when you dump some hot sauce on them. Those were the shiznit! I remember it used to have a drive through, but since the early 1990s the drive through window has been boarded up and is no longer available. Childhood memories!
