I came here for some webbing for my slackline- I needed bigger tree slings and just couldn't wait to order them online. Mike's is awesome- it's got pretty good selection and Mike really knows his stuff! However, as with most small-time gear shops- this stuff is EXPENSIVE!!!! If I had the money to support a local business, I would, but for now I'll have to stick with online for big-ticket items, but for a "quick fix" this place is great! I think that this gear shop is a little lacking in it's rock climbing selection- but can you really expect a small business to keep 6 different $200 ropes on its books at all time? This little store was filled with all kinds of gear for adventure tourists with a surprisingly large selection of bikes! The store managed to have a large selection without seeming too crowded, which is always great. The owner, Mike, was also very helpful and hospitable; he was willing to answer all questions that were asked in a friendly manner, and he told us he has what is best for the customer in mind. He even said that we was aware that whatever is most expensive isn't always the best, and he wants to give his customers what they actually need, not what makes him the most money. read more

I loved the personality of the shop and the owner himself. Mike truly is the reason why you should come to the shop. He won't sell you anything you don't need to just make a profit. I went to their shop in London for a Kayaking experience. I must say that I was impressed with the way Mike runs the training. We were taken care-of professionally and with much respect. Mike and his team of youngsters took our safety seriously and made sure we understood all the safety procedures before they let us into the lake.
