We came to this store looking for a western dress for my wife. We are attending a western wedding and needed the clothing to accommodate. Upon arrival, one is greeted by a pleasant aroma of leather wafting from the store. The front is western themed and looks like something out of a John Wayne movie or old Dodge City. Very creative architecture. Inside the store there is a massive array of "cowboy" hats and boots. Upon entering, we were greeted by a kind young lady who offered to help us with our search. We were looking for a dress for my wife and a dress shirt for me. We found a quality Wrangler western shirt with pearl snaps for me, but the clothing selections for women were a bit light. It is fair critique, but in their defense, the name of the business is not Western Wear, it is The Boot Store. After striking out, we left for another store to find a dress. We found one at another location. Upon finding the dress, we needed boots to match. My wife has extremely wide feet, which has always defeated her in finding cute cowgirl boots. Realizing we were now in the hunt for boots, we returned to The Boot Store. They had no boots my wife's size in stock. This is not a strike against them. Many companies don't make D width cowboy boots. Even fewer carry that inventory. Nevertheless, the same young lady who had helped us previously returned to our side to help. She measured my wife's foot and helped her determine exactly what type of boot we were looking for. We did find one pair that would have worked, but they were a high end boot and beyond our price range. Prices vary from very cheap to very expensive and everywhere in between. For the average western boot wearer, male or female I can't think of a better place to find western footwear. This is a destination location for all things western. Hats, belts, buckles, western shirts, and boots, boot and more boots! Every type and sort and color you can imagine. My wife used the women's room while she was there and the toilet was clogged. Eh, these things happen. If there was a negative that was probably it. Parking is ample. The business is on a busy thorofare. Getting out can be a challenge at peak traffic times. So needing some new shoes for a funeral, I had looked for a few days and just nothing wide and comfortable. Finally after multiple trips to seek out shoe stores and even looking at Goodwill and other stores for a funeral, I popped in here. I don't often wear suit shoes and had given mine to a boy that needed some. Anyway, Brittney was a huge help and may I say Very, Very patient. Dropped in near closing time on a Saturday night. The store was fairly busy but Paul went out of his way to explain boot sizing and the importance of getting that "right fit". I was shown a variety of boots and never felt rushed or pressured to buy. It's great to be able to get on the computer and shop for virtually anything, anytime. However, nothing will substitute for that in-store customer experience. The Boot Store did not disappoint. Now, more than ever, it's important to support local businesses. Visiting out of state and was told by a friend to check this place out. Was not disappointed! BUT I will say I wish they had more womens selections as the mens side had way more selection. The customer service was superb, top notch and super kind! Western wear, cinch jeans, hats made to fit/style, many different brands of boots (Abilene, Durango, ariat, Anderson beam, etc) tons of hats, some jewelry. Definitely worth a stop in! I didn't end up with this boot, however I looked for over a year for a pair of boots that looked and felt amazing. A young gentleman named Chris was helping me and encouraged me to let him check my size. He measured my foot went up a size in length and down a size in width and they fit like a glove. Super comfortable from the jump. I've worn a 11.5 EE for over 10 years, I'll bout a 12 D and they're perfect. These folks know what they're talking about. In the past all my hats have been Stetsons. I walked in here a month ago looking for something other that what the other stores had. The gentleman working there was wearing an Americana had in a steel color. I thought it looked cool and wanted on just like it. This hat requires forming which is great because I prefer a much wide brim than most. After thirty days I will say this hat is my nicest hat. It was my first visit to this place. The location is great the store is especially well done. Besides cowboy boots there's jewerly and hats. A awesome section of clothes. The customers service was really nice. I tried on a few pairs and was really on the fence. I didn't feel any pressure to.buy. I could tell they understood . On my journey to find a pair of boot that fit correctly only 1 of the stores (The Boot Store) Explained how to size your feet with the Brannock Foot Measuring Device. The sales female mentioned that number of length when you stand on the sizer dose not mean that is the size you should be, "oh" I said to myself with doubt since I have been buying foot ware for over 30 years and I know how to size my feet," I THOUGHT. She showed me that I should be a narrow. I tried one on and it fit great but the the tongue bunched up and hurt. so no boots at that time but I am going back today to talk about some custom boots. They Have all kinds of foot ware for the hole family. Western, work, western work, work tennis shoes, work casual, casual. They have foot ware for all occasions. They also carry clothes, hats, jewelry and more. They have the popular Brands as well as hard to find brands. It was easy to find (but our GPS was slightly incorrect)and well lit.
