Many of us middle aged folks are just not in shape to handle the ride. On an electric bike, the experience is challenging yet achievable. The bike is easy to ride and you choose the level of assistance you want from the tiny battery powered motor. You can ride with no assist or get a significant boost for going up hills. Please know that you must always be pedaling, and you will get a work out, but this is an amazing way for those of us who are not serious cyclists to experience the amazing landscape, and the smells and the sounds, of the Wild Atlantic Way. Cathal, the fellow who has just started this business is a gem. He brings the bikes to you and spends the time to make sure you are knowledgeable and prepared before he sends you out. Bicycle Shop May Be Too Good…read more I live in St Louis Missouri and looked all over the internet to find a Raleigh International steel bike in my size as it was somewhat of a rare bike. Tom had the frame in my size and asked me what components I wanted on the bike. He custom built this bike including custom built wheels. The bike has exceeded any expectation I have ever had. Most importantly, I drove down to pick the bike up in January of 2012, have put several thousand miles on the bike and it still has not required any adjustments whatsover. Shifts and brakes beautifully, wheels still true. I have replaced tires and cleaned and re-oiled the chain a few times. Tom thank you so much. Early Saturday morning ride turned into a very wet ride. I had a wash out accident where my…read morederailleur hanger was bent. I suffered through the rest of the ride with horrible ghost shifting. I called Bear Paw and Audrey to relay what had happened. My bike was covered in mud-NO PROBLEM said Audrey. They had a bike wash and Trent said to bring it in and he'd take a look. I am from out of town leaving the next day so timely service was pretty important. As thought, my hanger was bent and Trent's expert eye caught that my chain was missing a link causing extra stress on the hanger. Needless to say they got the bike washed, got the chain and hanger straightened out. He also made a couple of adjustments while I sat on the bike and now it's perfect. The bike looks and rides as new as when I first got it! These guys are first rate all the way. Super friendly and very accommodating. My friends and I are regularly kayakers, we were excited to try kayaking in a cavern. This kayak…read moretrip is extremely easy, but it was very cool to be in the dark with the neon glow of the kayaks. It is consistently cold in the cavern, and we dressed appropriately and were comfortable. This included neoprene fingerless gloves, wool socks, and clean water shoes. You cannot wear regular shoes as they scratch the clear kayaks. Our guide, Drew, and his "photographer", Matthew, were excellent. We felt safe, he provided a good amount of information, and had a sense of humor. A really cool experience in the Red River Gouge area.

He took great photos of each of us and our group. The group was small, which I loved because it never felt rushed. The colorful lights you see as you make your way through the cave are very awesome. Just a heads up, your feet and bottom will get very cold! Definitely wear layers and socks. We went in the summer and were still freezing by the end. Still, it was absolutely one of the best things I've done.
