It's set up to be a hang out, Has a good sized bar with with at least 5-6 good draft beers & several can styles. You can watch a game and have a beer while getting bike fixed or just hanging out. I had a flat tire so I searched for the nearest repair shop near me, came across this place and I couldn't be happy with the service I received. The young lady that helped me was so friendly and got to work on my bike immediately and I was out of there in a jiffy! I rented a bike from Bicycle Face in Lexington for the Horsey Hundred and it could not have gone better! The bike they had reserved for me was one of their floor models, so it was current and a high-performance bike. I loved it! You should know I am not a high-performance athlete, but a woman of retirement age who was simply biking this event for fun with friends. They treated me with respect and were enormously helpful in many little ways. First, they had this cool electronic program to measure my hip, knee and ankle points so they could set the seat height based on my body mechanics. They set it and it was perfect! Then they wrote out directions on how to get to the Legacy Trail from their shop so I could get familiar with the bike before I left their shop. This took extra time on their part and was very much appreciated. Next, they figured out we could put the bike in my rental car without having to use a bike rack! By folding down the back seat, it fit into my Toyota Camry car rental. This was huge as I had an appointment right after I picked up the bike and I'm not sure the place I was meeting a client for dinner would have appreciated me walking in with a bike! Finally, I wanted to bring the bike back during a time their store was closed and they figured out an option for that, too. During the ride, I happened to talk with several people who admired my bike. I told them it was a rental from the good folks at Bicycle Face. They were so impressed as the bikes they had rented were old and heavy. They said next time they would rent from Bicycle Face and I told them that would be a smart idea. read more

Bicycle face held a fun event for us Yelpers on a rainy September day. What a fun spot to get your bike fixed, have a beer and enjoy good company. I personally have a Trek bike and now have a place where I can go to take my bike. They have weekly biking events so it is good to reach out to see what they have on their calendar to mingle with fellow bikers. They are in a corner spot close to downtown so you can really ride your bike there if you live in the area. Check out this cool spot! read more

I have been having shifting problems with my 10 year old canondale 29er so I called bicycle face yesterday 10/21/2021 and talked to Keenan told him my woes with the bike he said bring it in we will take a look at it so this morning we went there to bicycle face it was a very nice drive there so we get in there everyone was very friendly Keenan took hold of the bike and he worked on it right there and then he made the correct derailler adjustments because the bike shifts much better now the chain was falling off constantly before was a real pain. Not only that but the shop is really nice and clean and awesome mostly " specialized" bikes man I almost bought a new one later on I will and I will def go to bicycleface in Lexington KY when the time comes and thank you again to everyone for the warm welcome on our first visit to your shop read more

If you are looking to hang out after work or on the weekend you can grab a beer and have a conversation. The mechanics know what they are doing if things aren't running just quite right. Hands down the best bike shop in Lexington surrounding in my opinion. Very knowledgable staff that seem to all love, live and breathe cycling in one form/discipline or another. Shop has a great lineup of bikes for all types of riders (Specialized and Surly are two excellent brands offered here), style and sizes of riders. They even have a skateboard shop with standards board set ups and longboard set ups and associated parts. Excellent selection of biking apparel, accessories and quality parts and even a full service bar with craft beer offerings and food offering from girls girls girls burritos, who Im assuming deliver orders to the shop. I don't know how the food ordering works...as Covid-19 had closed that portion of the shop down (including the bar of course), when I first visited. However, based on all that I mentioned and my experience buying a super hard to find new Specialized Rockhopper bike for my 11 year old (they are sold out everywhere...check Specialized website) during a pandemic make my fingers easily tap on a five star review. My daughter has been inseparable from her new bike since purchase and I love to see that. Money more than well spent. Give them a look and consider them before buying anywhere else. It looked like a quick repair; however, once she got started it took a little more time. She was very nice and informative as she made the repairs. Taught me more about my bike than I ever knew. These guys are my absolute favorite bike shop in town! They are super knowledgeable and will help teach you things without making you feel like an idiot (which I definitely feel like around bikes). Great local spot with rotating taps! Got caught in traffic and decided to pull in to wait out the afternoon rush hour. Adorable location with a very friendly staff. Good variety of beer on draft with some snack selections available. The atmosphere was very urban but comfortable and cool with large garage doors that I hope will open in the summer. I am not a cyclist, but I was impressed with the employees and even enjoyed the ambiance of bikes all around. IIt is the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel right at home. I spoke with one of the owners who was pouring my beer, and found out the beers are constantly changing to provide variety which is fantastic in a city of budweiser and coors everywhere I go. The cups they serve the beer in are rinsed out and gifted to you to take home to reuse or to bring back to be refilled. I will use mine out by the pool this summer. Highly recommend as a spot to chill amongst down to earth and welcoming local Kentuckians that know a thing or two about beer and bikes. Cheers! read more

First visit to this business , it never ceases to amaze me the positive reviews folks leave or give a business, this business has a five star review.unfortunately I cannot select anything less than one star! Had I the option of less than one star I would select it. When a business commits to completing/ completing work and expecting payment you would expect some work to have been done? They did not even touch my bike I collected it as I had dropped it and was charged for looking at the bike. I did not even go back to make them aware of the issue, they just will not get my business again and I can only advise folks to stay away not worth the aggravation supporting them. While they have clear expertise, and have excellent bikes, this is overwhelmed by their absolutely horrific customer service. My wife and I purchased two high-end bikes from them. On my second ride, my pedal just popped off, almost causing me to crash. The pedal had not been attached properly. Fortunately, another friendly rider had a hex-key wrench, and I was able to fix it during the ride. The next day, I called the shop and was asked to hold for 15 minutes. They did not even put the phone on hold, and I could hear them just chatting, and not picking up the phone. I hung up and called back. This time, I explained the situation, and one of the staff members told me to just bring the bike down, and they would check it at no charge to ensure I had put it back together correctly and safely. I raced to get off work early enough to be there (they close at 6pm). I got there at 5:15pm, and walked in the front door. A staff member said I must have slipped past him because they were now closed as they had no internet access. Because of this, he said, they could do no more business that day, and I would have to come back. When I tried to explain that I had called, and just wanted my bike evaluated quickly for safety, he cut me off and sent me out of the store. While I can understand when an issue occurs with billing/internet, his complete dismissal of me and unwillingness to even hear my story for why I was there was unprofessional at best. read more
