I've been going to Mike's for a number of years maybe since they first opened. I live a couple blocks away and I've never been disappointed with their pizza. To tell you the truth the only thing I've ever wanted to order there is the pizza but they have another menu and it has a wide selection of calzones and other things. I arrived and ordered at the counter and then I got a drink to sit and watch some TV while I was waiting no customers were there at that time. It was 6 PM. Most people do take out there. I saw my pizza was being hand tossed and it looked beautiful when it came out it was maybe 15 minutes from start to finish and it was very hot in good way and the vegetables were crispy onions were crispy. The mushrooms were tasty. I got the Mike special. I got the extra large. It was probably too much for two people. I will say that I overestimated they say it's 16 inches but I think it's actually larger than that. The service at the counter was very nice and both of the people working there looked happy and smiling and we're very pleasant to me. It was quiet there was no one else there, but I will say they had a TV on as well as music in the background so it might've been too much for some people but I like that and it was very efficient. I will definitely be coming back there again as I have in years past. I've never been disappointed there and when you're hungry for pizza and it's right there just go pick it up yourself. You don't need to hire a delivery or go somewhere to one chain restaurant these ingredients are fresh. read more

I used to get pizza here all the time when I lived in Homestead. I am here this week staying with family and decided to order an extra large pie. It's still the best pizza I've had in Florida yet. The crust was thin and not soggy and the ratio of sauce to cheese was perfect. There was no pull but that was because I took it to go. Fresh out the oven, I could imagine a nice cheese pull...lol. It was easy to order over the phone and the lady behind the counter was very nice. The restaurant ia set up like an old school pizza restaurant with checkered tablecloths. The façade is ugly, the whole plaza looks like went through a zombie apocalypse in 1998 and it hasn't recovered. You can't find it from the exterior because it's hidden in a corner, a literal hole in the wall. The place inside is larger than what it needed to be because there was no one there but the girl at the cashier and some older man siting at a table looking at a tv. I believe he was the owner or worker because he wasn't even eating. FOOD: The portions are large which is really good especially for the price. It's pretty filling. The food is alright. It's not bad but it also doesn't blow you away. It's alright. SERVICE: I don't know if they're running a sauce monopoly or if they are going out of business and they can't spare exchanging a sauce, but that little girl at the cashier took her job very seriously. Little Miss Sauce Tyrant couldn't be bothered to exchange one of the spicy sauces for a more mild sauce. I believe she got a high from the power that surged through her veins because the whole time she had a smirk on her face. You know the kind of smirk that you'd like to wipe off? But then you remember that it's just sauce and it's not worth it. In other words, don't expect even the bare minimum when it comes to service. Would I recommend this place? No, because it's not good enough to recommend. Would I eat there again? Yes, I already have and I may do it again... but I'll ask my husband to pick it up. read more

Pizza (just cheese) and garlic rolls were EXCELLENT! What wasn't was the service. Gal at counter couldn't have cared less about providing good service. Ordered pickup ready at 6:16, get there at 6:22 and am told it will be 5-10 more minutes. I asked about getting marinara sauce for the garlic rolls and ranch with the pizza and she said "yes." Food finally comes out and I get it and have to check- no sauce. I ask and she now says it's extra. I've never not gotten marinara with garlic rolls so that was weird. I also show her the takeout menu from the counter where it says "sauce included" under the pizza and she says "no, extra" even though it's right in print. So, very bad experience with the staff. If I lived here I don't think I could go back based on that encounter. Five stars for food and two deducted for service. read more

I have seen this place as I drove by now for 3 years. Today I was in the mood for Some pizza and tried them. Boy am I glad I did. I had the Mikes Pizza and the buy 1 get one Tortellini with side salad and garlic rolls. Everything was fantastic. I have found my new pizza spot. Everything taste unbelievable and fresh. One thing that always kill it for me are the garlic rolls. These guys were seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of everything so nothing overpowers the other. Super close pizza place to home so we decided to try it out. The first time we ordered we had a cheese pizza and it was to die for. This time we got the Hawaiian which was delish but a little greasy, amazing cheese pull tho. The Sicilian was okay, the sauce tasted kinda burnt but the amount of cheese and dough ratio was phenomenal. They have a variety of items on the menu so I will be back to try more! Looked up pizza near me and this place popped up. I wasn't sure cause there wasn't a lot of reviews and bad review but the photos looked Sooo good so I decided to give it a try! I am so happy I did! The pizza was awesome, prices are reasonable. There were so many people there at 5pm on Friday getting take out, eating in, and door dash drivers picking up! I was shocked seeing so many people when their were not that many reviews!! Also staff was SO friendly and acknowledged my 7yr old and that's really important! Long time since I've left a 5* review but this place is great, pizza was great as I've not found good pizza down here in 3 years, garlic knots are delicious, the best I may have ever had anywhere! Light crispy crunch on outside of rolls but soft and yummy inside in fresh garlic butter! music nice and staff friendly! I was excited to try this Pizza.(kind of a pizza snob) I really like east coast pizza. However when I got this pizza it was over powered by oregano. The toppings were sparse and the pizza was just so so. This is just my opinion. I just never like when I ask for extra beef or any toppings and yet it's barley on the pizza I get disappointed. The place was Empty when I got there. The area is a little tuff but it's only Homestead! I also got the cannoli and the filling was almost like a white donut glaze with pure sugar. I couldn't even eat it after one bite. So overall my experience was not good. However they may have other dishes or appeal to others better than me.
