Management is horrendous, worst Pizza Hut seen so far. Bread sticks were inedible and watered down to the point it was not recognizable.

Wow. This place was phenomenal. Our Airbnb host recommended this Cuban/Latin American restaurant in…read moreHomestead, FL and it was downright amazing! We got a sampler platter that included some croquetas, plantain chips, tamal, fried pork chunks, and fried shrimp. Zero complaints about anything! So so good. My main was the Sopa de Res, which was a hearty soup. The serving size was gigantic. I actually took most of it back with me and it made two more meals. There were lots of root vegetables, slow cooked beef still on the bone, a side of rice and corn. My dad got a huge Cuban sandwich that he also ate on for days and my mom had empanadas, which I finished off for a third meal. We also went back for pie. That was ok - it was extremely rich and kind of pricy at $13 a slice. I also tried their Cortadito and took it to go. Great coffee as well. Highly, highly recommend eating here. The decor is fun and the wait staff super nice and patient with all our questions. They also have a separate ice cream shop across the parking lot.

My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich with French fries cooked to perfection in clean oil, and I had grilled chicken (pechuga à la Blanche) with beans, rice, and sweet plantain, along with cilantro sauce. The portion sizes are very generous and we each had leftovers for another whole meal. We will definitely be back! I also appreciated that the suggested tip amount started at 15%. We left more, but too many restaurants have the suggested tip amounts much too high. Do look at the menu item pricing, as some dishes were $75+. It may have been due to portion size as well as ingredients.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of smoked meat, and you know you're in for something special. It's a quaint little place with community-style picnic table seating indoors, and you can tell it gets busy during peak hours. The staff treated us like family from the moment we walked in and made us feel right at home. I ordered the baby back ribs and brisket, and both were outstanding. The collard greens were hands down the best I've ever had, and the sweet potato soufflé was just as memorable. Even the Texas toast was incredible--I don't usually talk about bread, but this stuff was fire! The drinks were served in large cups, and the sweet tea was absolutely perfect. Dinner for two came to about $78, which might seem a little high at first, but quality barbecue isn't cheap, and every dollar was worth it. The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and this was easily one of the best barbecue meals I've had. We were so full we almost skipped dessert, but I'm glad we didn't. The homemade Key lime pie was the best we had during our entire trip to the Keys. It was smooth, creamy, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of Key lime flavor, and unlike some of the others we tried, it wasn't gritty at all. It was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in South Florida.

Every table she assisted she referred to our table as being the problem where the tables would then be staring at us and our kids the whole time. Every ask was met with a forced smile, and rolling of the eyes as she walked away. She then went to the system to enter the orders and was pointing at us - She clearly was annoyed of having to serve a large group like ours and made the experience terrible despite the food. I understand it's inconvenient when a high number table arrives but there was still a level of service and respect that should have been present. We will never go back.

I had an extremely frustrating experience at this Popeyes location, and the way I was treated was…read morecompletely unnecessary. I approached the cashier, a Black woman with glasses, probably in her 50s, and politely asked for the restroom code. She completely ignored me: no greeting, no acknowledgment, no answer. I asked four separate times and still received no response. Then, as one of the kitchen employees was coming out, I politely asked a Black man who appeared to be in his late 50s or early 60s, with a salt-and-pepper goatee, for the code. He acted confused, so I repeated my question. He told me that I needed a code to use the restroom. Obviously, that was exactly why I was asking him for it. When I asked if he could give me the code, he started telling me there was a "protocol." Instead of simply explaining what that protocol was, he made the entire interaction unnecessarily difficult. By this point, after being ignored repeatedly and getting nowhere with a very simple question, I was irritated. I told him that I was planning to purchase a meal but wanted to wash my hands first, assuming I could get permission to use the restroom. His response was that because I "had an attitude," I could wait until he finished using the bathroom, and then he would let me in. This entire situation could have been avoided with one simple sentence: "The restroom is for paying customers. Once you make a purchase, we'll provide you with the code." That's it. Instead, I was ignored, spoken to dismissively, and treated as though asking to wash my hands before ordering food was some unreasonable request. Customer service does not require anything extraordinary. A greeting, basic communication, and treating people with dignity and respect should be the bare minimum. I would not recommend this location. In fact, experiences like this make me question giving Popeyes my money at all. Management needs to do a much better job of hiring and training employees who understand how to communicate with customers respectfully and professionally. But I won't hold my breath because the low pay these corporations provide guarantee that they hire the lowest-hanging fruit of thr work force that will work these difficult jobs for pennies because they have no other skills to survive in the job market.
