I had an alignment check on my grandson's car after buying five tires. The alignment check was thrown in because we bought four more tires at once so I thought that was a good deal. I thought it was an alignment not just an alignment check. I do want to note that I have bought tires from this place for the last 10 years on different vehicles and I have always been satisfied with the tires quality and cost. at this time, however, I am not satisfied at all. The tires are wonderful as expected. Going in the tires were very bare and there was a bubble on one and so it was a slow unsafe drive to get there. It was pulling to the right and I had a wobble in the back because there was a pretty substantial bubble. It was a used car I had just purchased for my grandson. My grandson was so excited driving back home. He showed me look grandma. He very carefully took his hands off the wheel while holding them close and showed me that the car was tracking on the road really well and following it and so I wasn't sure if we really needed the alignment but I thought well. An alignment is always a good thing to check. The ride was really smooth and wonderfully. So we're going for the day of the alignment you have to schedule that and if you don't schedule it, they don't worry about it, which was a red flag. It says it's provided with the purchase and they know you've got all these so you would think they would schedule the alignment and the tires being put on together.... but no, you have to actually ask for it or you don't get it. OK so we asked for it and had to schedule it for another day so we came back a few days later during which time my grandson had been thrilled that the car was driving so well. So yesterday we got the alignment check and discovered it was just a check, not an alignment . And then the guy called my brother and my grandson back to explain what was wrong with the car and what he found in the alignment and that it probably would drive OK but that if we had any issues with it, we should bring it back in to be fixed. So we left and just beginning stages. My grandson was concerned and tells me grandma something is wrong and I asked him what he says it feels like the wind is buffering the car, don't you feel the slight wobble? And he lightly let loose of the wheel and it started turning to the right And I'm like what the heck? So we had to go to visit a friend later yesterday and the whole drive, we both realize that something was wrong. he has to pay attention to the wheel and it only goes straight if the wheel slightly turned and there is a slight wobble and it pulls to the right. So why all of a sudden is the acting like it's out of alignment when it was driving so perfectly the last few days after getting the tires? I honestly feel like the man did something to the car to make it need to be fixed. Can I prove it? No, but I certainly feel like that's what happened and while I will go to Mike's Tires for tires, I don't think I'll ever go there again for any kind of mechanical work or alignment and now I feel like I'm gonna have to figure out Where some places besides them that does alignments because now the car needs an alignment where before it was fine read more

We blew a camper tire on our road trip just before crossing from Iowa I to Missouri on the way to the Arch. We called several places and most were either closed or couldn't get us in today except Mike's. We were still an hour away but made it. We had them do two tires. We were in and out in 20 min. There was a mixup in communication, I agreed to replacing our two front tires that were in awful shape; essentially treadless. When I came to pick up the vehicle, they made it very clear that we needed the rear tires replaced almost as badly as the two front tires. Before I was able to say anything, he spoke up and said that they couldn't let us drive away on those rear tires. One of his workers apparently had an identical pair of like-new tires to the ones that we ordered for our front tires. Turns out he had driven home, grabbed them, and they replaced our rear tires before we had even arrived. Outstanding care. read more

They replaced my blower motor in my car 10/06/22 and it ended up being quite an ordeal and took longer than they expected (my car is a pain during any repair) and they still managed to get my car back to me the same day, and right before closing. They stayed open an extra few minutes to allow me to come pick it up, and they only charged me for the original estimate of labor (they thought they'd have it done 5 hours sooner). I appreciate this so much, now I've got AC and heat in my car again, they saved me a lot of money, and it got done in one day vs the 5 to 10 days the dealership I bought my car from would have had it. Dropped My 2007 Audi A4 off for two new tires and received my car with cross-threaded lug nuts which means the wheel wasn't flush with the hub, this caused the tire to wobble back and forth and ruined my wheel hub and spindle. They asked me to drop the car off to look at it and they replaced the studs but claimed it wouldn't have caused the hub failure. An improperly balanced tire can cause bearing failure, so something like an improperly seated wheel absolutely can and it's a terrible idea to take your vehicle to someone that doesn't understand the consequences of bad mechanical practices and premature wear and damage that can be caused by such. This is why you hand start lug nuts, I recommend against using Mike's Tire and Auto when possible as their shortcuts on simple things can cause severe damage to your vehicle, potentially killing you and your passengers. This is a textbook example of mechanic malpractice. Cody also claims he told me about the failing wheel hub, when in fact the mechanic I spoke to simply stated he couldn't adjust camber without replacing the OEM parts as they do not have a camber adjustment stock, he even went as far to say nothing was really damaged or unsafe, it was just slightly out of alignment. Ignorance is fine, I expect such from a basic tire guy that doesn't hand start lugs/over tightens and strips threads. science will back me up. The only shop in Bowling Green I have truly had exceptional service from is Weber Automotive, their employees are intelligent and honest. I will never do business elsewhere again, this was a mistake. read more
