I have no idea how they got this 5 star review. There is no customer service. I requested a quote and the response was nothing more than "what's the address?" No courtesy or appreciation for the potential business. Received a quote (not a professional one, though) for tree trimming/canopy lift and bush trimming at over $500. Two minutes later, received a second email lowering the cost by almost $200 if I would skip bush trimming. $200 for bush trimming? Really? I don't have THAT many bushes! My property is not very big. Customer service makes or breaks a deal. Going with another service with a slightly lower cost for all but also including a small tree removal. My biggest deciding factor was not cost, but customer service and appreciation for potential business. Jason needs to learn some people skills and show some customer service/appreciation. And if Mike's Tree Service (owned by Jason) has a website, why did I get emails from a Gmail account? Something doesn't smell right and I'll go with an honest business that provides great customer service regardless of price. read more

Jason and his awesome crew turned our neglected-looking 24-acre property back into its original breath-taking version of 20 years ago. Not only did they clean up and uncover many gorgeous (but hidden by overgrowth and cedars) beautiful oak trees, but the place looks and feels about 100 times bigger. The oaks look vibrant once again, the property value went up substantially, and my worry of a fire catching us off guard out here in the country has been greatly reduced. The guys were fun to watch, they are so professional and Jason is so knowledgeable about trees, I honestly learned a lot about our trees by the time it was all over. They were always on time, always super-courteous, and always sure to run anything by me first if they were unsure. The difference before and after their work is truly astounding. Mike's Tree Service is the best we've used in 15 years of home ownership! Submitted site visit request on their website, Jason called within 15 minutes and scheduled the visit for the next day. He showed up on time, I showed him all the work I needed done, about 4 large trees removed (live oaks. cedar elms) and much trimming (high up in about 8 more trees (live oaks). The price was half what I had paid in previous years for less work! We scheduled the work within the week, and Jason kept in touch. The crew and Jason showed up on time, worked like crazy, damaged nothing, cleaned up every scrap and were very unobtrusive. This was our first time using Mike's Tree Service, and we couldn't have asked for better service. Jason was very responsive both to our initial request for an estimate and in scheduling the service. He also didn't try and up sell us for any services other than what we wanted. He and his team showed up as scheduled (even a little early!) and were very efficient. Jason / Mike's Tree Service was referred to us by a former (retired) arborist, and very glad he was. Very responsive from first inquiry to the date of service at our house. Provided an evaluation of our two live oaks (one is very old and very valuable to our property), and recommended the appropriate service. Sealed all cut areas, and performed meticulous cleanup - trees look outstanding, unlike the excessive trimming (and cost) done 5 years prior by another company. These guys are artists! They took out a couple of old ash trees that were threatening our house. It was impressive watching them study the trees, cast a couple of guide ropes, and drop six inch limbs with three-point turns in three dimensions without touching the house. Jason and the crew were perfectly friendly and professional and the price was reasonable. This was a far more impressive team than other crews I've hired in the past. They came, they saw, they cut and they hauled. These guys were fantastic. Jason came out, met with me, discussed the work and delivered a very fair bid. I got on their schedule and they just left my house after doing an awesome job. I had quite a bit of trimming and haul-off that was needed. I decided to have the work done a couple weeks later and they knocked it out quickly. I had a mess of oak trees and a couple cedar trees in my back yard. While they were trimming my neighbors trees, I approached the men at work to get a quote on removing some tree trunks from my yard. Upon my surprise, they agreed to do it for free! The employees of Mike's Tree Service are as professional as it gets. These guys perform well in getting the job done. I've used them a number of times to cut down trees close to my house and each time they have done an outstanding job. Just cut down a dead oak that was more than four feet in diameter at the base. Their quote came in much lower than we expected, and when the job was done, it looked like much MORE than we expected. The volume of trimming and removing was significant, and the clearing and hauling off was probably three times much more so. Quick, efficient, professional, boom.
