I needed running bboards attached to my SUV. I bought the running boards off eBay. Brought them to Mike and he said he can mount them. I had a front spoiler to also mount. He mounted the running boards and they did a great job. He said the front spoiler was not going to be a good fit, as it was aftermarket. Instead of mounting the spoiler and it looking bad, he advised me it's best not to add it. He was right. Sure he could have made more money to mount it, but he knew it was not going to be a good result. He does the right thing, not the wrong thing. I'm glad he's here for me in the future read more

I recently tried to get some work done on my 2023 Nissian Titan I was told by the man behind the counter that the BULL BAR was made to fit my brand new truck and it would take 1 or 2 hrs to install so we ordered the part I paid in full that day , so i called to check if the part was there as luck would have it it was there so i made an appointment for 8 am the following day. I thought I would just wait after 2 hrs. I called for a ride and asked if they could call me when it was ready @ 3:30 I received the call . Upon arrival I noticed that the BULL BAR was croaked and asked if they could fix it as I walked around my truck I noticed the skid plate was in the bed of the truck which would void the warranty of the truck so I asked them why it wasn't installed back on the truck and was told it didn't fit anymore unless they do some modifications to it, which again would void the warrant on the truck . So I told them to take the BULL BAR off and put my truck back like it was originally and told them I'll pick it up the next day . So after 8 hrs I called them and was told it's ready to pick up after leaving I brought it to my mechanic just to check it out making sure everything was tight and back to original condition he noticed loose bolt on the skid plate , wires hanging down under the dash , a hole drilled into my accessory panel where the switch for the light on the BULL BAR remember this is a brand new truck !!!! Then they charged me for the installation and removal of the BULL BAR !!! So buyer beware !!! I'll never darken their door step again !!! But I will find somewhere that can put a BULL BAR on my truck . read more

Took my 2015 Silverado to change out the shocks. Two weeks later & 4 visits later. 1450$ later.. My truck feels worse than when I took it in & the alignment is horrible and steering wheel needs to be sideways to drive straight. Now I have to pay double at another shop to try to fix everything. Mike is a thief. Please take your money elsewhere. When I considered buying a Roll-N-Lock truck bed cover for my 2018 GMC Canyon, Mike went full-blown salesman. "We can get you either the M-Series OR the A-Series, boss. Whatever you want, we can get it for you." I wanted the A-Series, so we ordered it. We TRUSTED Mike because he was the 'professional.' We PAID $1500 IN FULL for the product, and when the cover came in we picked it up and took it home to install. As soon as we looked in the box, we loaded it back in the truck and drove to Mike's. He had sold us a Roll-N-Lock M-Series NOT an A-Series. A simple mistake, right? We'll just take it back and exchange it with Mike. WRONG. Upon arrival, Mike was quick to inform us that the A-Series is NOT available for my truck, and that he didn't care "how that makes me feel." WHAT?! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT WHEN WE ORDERED THE PRODUCT?! And that we would have to be happy with $1500 of STORE CREDIT. Despite LYING to the customer, insulting the customer, and ordering the WRONG PRODUCT for the customer, there would be NO refund. We were told to "deal with it." Really? Is that the kind of business you want to run, Mike? I don't know how you sleep at night, Mike. Only a miserly, inadequate, sourpuss steals from AND insults their customer. What is really sad is, I like my dealership where I bought my last 2 Dodge Pick up's brand new, 1500 & a 2500. For my 2500 they referred me, I had fender flares put on, window guards, a tool box, side steps, bug shield roughly to the tune of $3000, solely off of word of mouth advertisement. Issues: 1.) They put the window guards on Backwards you can only put them on one way to make it work and look correctly, they put both back ones on backwards. - Mike the Owner fixed this right then and there when addressed. 2.) Going down Clear Lake City Blvd @ 45mph on cruise control the bug shield falls off, turn around pick it up take it back to them they put a new one one.....Wait for it another bug shied. 3.) Fender flares, on the passenger side, only the passenger side, the Cummins logo was covered up partially, looked like crap. Their shop fixed it. 4.) I asked for a drop down tool box, we agreed to a full size took box, I get a tool box the size of a Ford escort maybe, w/ 4" or more on each side, so now I have these holes in the floor, still there, asked them to take care of it.....ya well 5.) So we agree and take out the tool box and put a lid on 1 flip from the front to the back to the front and 2 flips from the back to the front, first installation, it leaks, it leaks bad, I get from them "Can't keep all the water out". So they do something it is better but guess what it still leaks. 6.) HEY something positive, the side steps, 3 bar from front door to the bed, they are GREAT love em; NO problem 7.) Referring back to #2, I'm on Harbourside in Galveston doing less than 20mph coming from my cruise, the damn bugshield that they already replaced flies off again, this time 1/2 is stuck on 1/2 is blown away and being run over by other vehicles. Mike tried to make good w/ the tool box / cover think I owed some money, but their work is not complete and definitely not what is what I expected, esp coming from Ron Carter League City highly recommended them. "they do all of our vehicles". I love Ron Carter LC, the owner, Mike Hall, loves his service member and veterans, but his staff didn't care about this miscues w/ Mikes Truck Toys when brought up to them multiple times, in txt, phone call and person. Mike is a good guy and you can't control all your employees but there needs to be a QA team before the vehicles go out to ensure this crap doesn't happen. read more

Called in to get a quote on a lowering kit was told $200. Took my truck in to have them do it, they call me back later taking it was going to cost $600 that their guy made a mistake and to do the rear end they'd have to cut the frame, which wouldn't be required it's a made to fit bolt on frame. Just shows that their workers don't truly know what they're doing. So I Told them not to touch my truck I'll take it somewhere else, they continue to do the front end after I told them not to do it. Charged me $200 or else I couldn't get my truck back. On the receipt said it was $800 to do the whole lowering kit. They are very inconsistent with what they have told you previously. read more

I ordered a Leer camper top for my Toyota Tundra on Friday, April 5th after Andrew stated it usually arrives with 4 -- sometimes 5 weeks after the order is made. Then Andrew over-charged my credit card charging for an option (headliner) that was free and his explanation -- "No worries will refund you card when you pickup your camper". I then found out the camper top was not ordered until the following Monday, April 8th. It is NOW Monday, May 13th and just received voice-mail, that Leer is running behind and is just now working on the production of the camper top. This is after multiple calls to Mike Truck speaking to both Andrew and Mike, himself, --- and NOTE: do NOT believe them when they say "I will call you back today, promise!" I told them I no longer want OR need the camper top -- 'cause by the time it arrives I will be gone on the trip for which I needed the camper top. Do NOT patronize this place and avoid at ALL cost. Called the next afternoon, left my name and number to the receptionist as "You should really talk to *** because he has been corresponding with you, he is on lunch break but should be back soon". Waited a few hours, sent an email. Still have not heard back. I will not be doing business with an establishment that treats paying customers in this manner. I have had my truck: bed-lined, installed a tool box, installed a flip-back for the bed and have had airbags installed on my truck. Mike's Truck Toys did an amazing job with each project. So good in fact, when I purchased a van for work I took it directly to Mike's to have the windows tinted and the entire cargo area bed-lined. They inspected the work upon completion and wouldn't let me take it until they were satisfied with their work. STAY AWAY from here if you want your truck lowered!!!! Took our Silverado to Mike's Toys in Pasadena to have it lowered 2" in the back. Delivered it at 8:30am. Was told it would be ready in about 3 hours. At around 2PM we called to get an update and were told the wrong parts were trying to be installed, had to get the correct ones. Showed up at 5:45 PM and they were closing up shop, cannot get the truck back until tomorrow. No phone call to inform us about this. Get a call the next day around 12:30, truck is ready. Go to pick it up its not lowered. Mike says why is it not lowered? oh it will settle as you drive it. Drive it and it is like riding in a tank. Got home and checked, they had the bolts going thru the frame!! Take it back, they cut the bolts to shorten them. Truck still not right, take it to the dealership and told the parts were installed backwards and bolts going the wrong way! Damaged and now cost big money to repair. read more

I recommended this place to my father-in-law but what a mistake I made. My father-in-law shattered the rear window on his camper on his 2009 Toyota Tacoma truck while hunting. I called on 11/5/18 & they gave me one price but when he got there on 11/6/18 the price was $100 more than the price I was quoted. He didn't argue with them about the price; so he paid for the window 11/6/18 & he was told 2-3 weeks for the window to come in. He called 1-2 times a week in December after not hearing from them but he kept getting the run around. He went up there in person the week before Christmas and was told to wait another few weeks. Today, 1/1/19, makes exactly 8 weeks since he ordered the window. They showed no compassion to my father-in-law about the window not being delivered on time. I read more

Mike ordered fender flares for my husband's 2017 Tundra, and charged us to have them painted and sent them out. When they came in, the paint job was terrible according to Mike. He said that a friend owed him a favor and did a terrible job, so he sent them out to be repainted. (We later discovered that they were repainted over the bad paint job) When they came back in, the paint job was chipped, rippled, and bubbled on all pieces. Mike will not refund our money for the flares or the paint job. These are over $1,000, and ruined thanks to his friends crappy work. We've tried to work this out with Mike, and instead of offering any solutions, he just yelled at my husband over the phone. Had a clear bra installed and had my door and bumper chipped. I may add that it was installed on a dirty vehicle. No pride in workmanship. This job was done twice and still was not done correct. Called shop got Mike (owner). told Mike I wanted to raise my truck an additional 3" higher than the 6' lift currently installed. As it is a Toyota the additional 3" would have to be a body lift which I was somewhat skeptical of already. Mike suggested installing a Fab Fours off-road bumper on the front which would allow me to run the 37" tires on 12" wide wheels. Took my truck in for the bumper, wheels, tires, upper A arm replacement, and fender flares. Mikes shop installed all equipment and the truck looks great. Mikes idea of the bumper rather than 3' body lift was a home run for me. Mike unfortunately ordered a slightly different style bumper than requested (simple email oversight). Upon bringing it to Mikes attention he said he would make it right. Mike did indeed make it right. I am a very picky person and always hold people accountable to their word (which most folks these days wont stick to especially if there is money involved). Mike stuck to his word and made it right which made me a satisfied customer (hard to do in this situation). To me that is the sign of a great owner of a great shop. PS: Two weeks later when selling my old wheels and tires I noticed one center cap was missing (possible no sell), I called the shop and got Mikes guy that runs the inside counter (cool guy)(unfortunately don't know his name my mistake) asked if he would be willing to track the center cap down (for sure thought it was gone or disposed of) the guy asked to send him a pic, he texted back 15 later with a pic of it (sell saved). read more
