HOWEVER, his front desk person is quite difficult. Never smiles, and is very brusque and unfriendly. But in their defense, I've seen this at other medical offices - I suppose front desk can be demanding. The front desk told me they are a "medical professional" when I asked to speak to a nurse about safe drug dosage....what did that mean???? I later found out they Didn't have a nurse. She would say she'd ask the doctor and call me back. Never did. I stopped taking the meds since it's so difficult to get through. I also looked for a new doctor. UPDATE: He has hired a nurse - she seems excellent, and the office seems to be running better on appointments times. Could be that the front desk people were overwhelmed, but I'm still uneasy about the 'medical professional' claim. Haven't decided whether to change - I probably will.

She asks a ton of questions not only to address your health concern, but also to get to know you as a person. It is uncommon to find a doctor with such a relaxed and warm bedside manner. She is an absolute diamond of a doctor. The office is clean and modern. There is plenty of parking all around the building. It is located right off 518 and is easy to locate. The staff is friendly and receptive. There is usually very little wait time. The office uses the MyChart ap to help you stay in contact with your doctor. Dr. G and her staff usually respond the same day or the very next day. You really get the feeling that she cares. She never makes you feel like you have a dumb question. She does not have the doctor complex that you usually see form other doctors. She is not only the nicest doctor I know, she is one of the nicest people I have been fortunate enough to meet. Dr. G spends so much time one on one in the room with you that there is absolutely no feeling of being rushed whatsoever. You feel like you are catching up with a friend more than talking to a doctor. I wholehearted recommend Dr. Gertieson to anyone looking for the last doctor they will ever need. My only concern is that too many people will find out how wonderful she is...and I then have a problem getting an appointment. I have my daughter going to see her now as well. I noticed that some reviews were negative on the staff, but that was some time ago. I've found them to be effective, polite and responsive. But they don't like the feed back on my 2nd review. That just shows my point, they have no conflict management skills. Just make a better effort to communicate better. And I would have gladly updated once I experienced an improvement. This has never happened to me, but I have already found another PCP and didn't plan on going back. Growth is inevitable, whether they took this opportunity to provide better service in this instance or not. It will happen again to another patient. They can stay comfortable, kicking ppl out that are dissatisfied. But that not how you run an effective business or grow. Whoever is in charge should know this.

I arrived 45 minutes early yet I was not seen until 15 minutes after my appointment. While the waiting room is very spacious and clean, I do not see a reason for such a long wait as the office was not very crowded with patients. I was attended to by a nurse who was very nice and skilled with using their very old and outdated equipment. While it was impressive that she was able to use that kind of equipment, the measurements were not the most accurate. There must be some disorganization because some of my measurements were recorded inaccurately in the report at the end of my visit. I saw Dr. Ana Corteguera, who my parents also usually see. As a first time patient, I expected her to spend some time hearing my medical history but she rushed me through the entire visit. I felt as though she did not really care about my problems and just wanted to get me in and out of there was fast as possible. In fact, I even forgot to talk about something I had been meaning to ask a doctor because of that. Furthermore, instead of discussing treatment and testing options with me, she just chose the one that was the most convenient for her, which of course, happened to be the most expensive costing one for me. All in all, I think that this office can certainly improve its efficiency and if you had to visit this branch, I would recommend seeing someone else besides Dr. Corteguera.
