From the moment we walked in, around 2:30pm, the waitress Sarah, greeted us warmly. My aunt and mother were both with me, and both have mobility challenges. Sarah gently offered help and took my aunt by the arm to reseat us in an table with a booth for better comfort. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff very accommodating and most important, the food is delicious and well presented. Definitely go here if you are near Plaça de Catalunya-- it is right by the department store il Cortes ingles. We had burgers, daiquiris, cava, cafe con leche, and an almond mouse of some kind. Walking along the streets of Barcelona and walked past Mil Grito's. I was looking for a spot for lunch and this place had great ambiance so my friends and I stopped in. We ordered the shrimp stew and paella. The dishes were piping hot and the ingredients were fresh. I ate every last bite of my shrimp stew. While we were there the waitress brought out a complimentary appetizer. it was pork that was cooked to perfection and served on a stick in a small cast iron skillet. At the end of our meal we looked over to the bar to find a man making fresh sangria on the spot. We immediately ordered both white and classic red sangria. All of it was delicious! read more

Seafood paella - good flavor but rice was still a little raw Pumpkin salad - consisted of three pieces of pumpkin and very few greens. Where to begin?! I'm a foreigner who speaks some passable Spanish, who after a long day ordered a vodka. I'm sorry? I didn't know that was social suicide in Barcelona. We were polite. Courteous. And were interested in ordering food, and we couldn't flag ANYONE down. They literally rolled their eyes as we asked to pay, Like we were disturbing their flow. Well, when you never return to our table, and we ordered doubles of high end drinks? I think you just want us to leave. Which we decided to do. There are just too many choices to not pass this by. And when on vacation, you want to LOVE everyone and every experience, so this made us very sad. You want to be able to go back and tell friends that you LOVE this place. And especially when you are shooting a new travel show for Our Vlog. I was so disappointed. We will not be able to recommend this restaurant. I asked politely, and properly for more ice, and you would have thought I shot the dog. We are not jerks. We just hoped for a cool spot to stop. Food looked really good, but they wouldn't let us try. The typical response to less than favorable reviews from the restaurant is "thanks for letting us know." Well, I AM letting you know. Certainly one of the best dining experiences in Barcelona. It is a tapas inspired meal but with high cuisine spirit. The patatas bravas is a Neuevelle cousins take on the classic tapa. Orders are taken 'sushi' style, which means that you order in eaches. Go for variety, service is great but the food is amazing. read more

The restaurant is located in a prime location, beautiful, clean, and bright decor. The little sausages compliments of the house are amazing! Smoky, slight crisp on the outside, juicy and soft on the inside. Their chicken curry fritters are spot on. The code fritters, not so much. Barely fried so the entire texture was mushy. As I type this review I am dancing to how delicious this food is. My wife and I are in Barcelona on our honeymoon and as we walked the beautiful streets of Barcelona we happened across this beautiful cozy gem. They accommodate non-Spanish speakers easily and the energy the staff provides is nothing short of wonderful. We had the Toro and Barceloneta beers and they are delicious. We also order the monkfish and shrimp tapas and the cheese plate. Oh. My. Tapas. This is what has me continuing to dance as I type the review.. that and this contagious music. If you get a chance stop in and enjoy their ambiance and bitching hairstyles as much as we have, definitely do so. read more

We went the first night in town and liked it so much went back two days later! This is a funky small modern tapas restaurant with fun waiters who speak decent English and inventive tapas. The food was pretty good, but the service was terrible. The server messed up our order, and when questioned about it, her response implied that it was OUR fault, not hers. My husband and I popped into Milagrito's (which on the restaurant's sign off of the street looked much like 'Mil Gritos') on a whim for lunch today after having our hearts set on another restaurant that happened to be all booked up for lunch- we were not disappointed. My husband and I began by ordering white wine sangrias (which were quite {pleasantly} strong). After looking at the menu for two seconds I knew I had to have Patatas Bravas. I have a huge weakness for Patatas bravas and Milagrito's had such a unique and tasty spin on them and they were bursting with flavour (literally-they were filled with sauce). My second choice (shared with Loz) was the 'Lascas de Solomillo' these were delectable- wow and more wow. The meat was perfectly cooked, mushrooms earthy, cheesy tasty and the flakes of salt on top were the perfect addition to the dish.the My husband began with the crouquetas these croquetas were- so incredibly yummy (I had to sneak a bite)- the Jamon Iberico was such a lovely Spaniard touch! Easily one of the best croquetas I've had to date. Second he had the 'Gua Bao' which (in my opinion) tasted much like a bao/fresh/upscale tuna sandwich (not in a negative way at all). We finished off our meal sharing the 'Cremoso de Chocolate, Pistachio y Helado de galleta' which was such a nice creamy (pudding/mousse-like) finish. The Patatas bravas (Plate sized), shared order of the Lascas, sangria and the shared dessert were enough to make a complete meal for myself. I chose to give this restaurant 4 out of 5 stars simply because it is a bit pricey for the amount of food you are given (which I suppose is due partially to the location) however overall the food is very delicious and I will definitely be going again. read more

This was fantastic! My husband and I stumbled across this place on our way to another. I'm so happy we changed course! They started us off with a little ham app and right then I knew it would be great. The mini hamburgers are so good with the bacon marmalade. Firstly, I wouldn't really consider this place a tapas place as it was more full meals BUT oh what meals! I only wish I had been hungrier. All cooked fresh to order and all really tasty. Very unpleasant experience at the restaurant. After being seated for quite some time, no one is serving us at all though many seats are still empty. With no water or drink served, the tapas came firstly...after chasing the waiter for proper sequence of serving, he took the complimentary tapas away without apologizing and never sent it back.... The drink was not good and the paella was even terrible... Tapas was nice but not as good as those we had at tapas24 at noon....
